Barack Hussein Obama
Reports are coming out about Obama’s disappointment about the outcome of the 2016 presidential election. The headlines are saying that he felt it was a personal insult.
He thought he had come through the eight years of his presidency without any scandal, but he obviously hadn’t paid any attention to the pejorative word that Republicans had attached to him: his middle name “Hussein”. Not very subtle racism, is it?
During Obama’s second term, social networks were full of criticism about Hussein, and if you dared to speak out against it, your comments were deleted, citing the reason of being from a bleeding heart liberal. I soon learned to just let it go, but the pervasiveness of the ‘hate’ showed me the groundswell of feeling against the Democrats, and the extra burden of their putting forward a female candidate was a step too far for the country.
Now, his successor, Trump, is trying to blame Obama for his own troubles: the Russia investigation. No doubt this card will be played for the next 18 months until the 2020 presidential election. It will be Trump’s way of keeping his voters on his side.
