Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall (July 17, 1947)

It took slightly more than 30 years to come to fruition. Camilla Shand took the long way round to become Charles’ wife. And it shouldn’t come as a surprise that what took place between them was frowned upon by the Royal Family, but they also turned a blind eye.

I’d noted this chart configuration previously. I suppose the Moon/Venus conjunction at 10 degrees Cancer gives her a special nurturing nature that Charles found appealing. The T-squares formed with Neptune and the Midheaven to these planets would have made it inevitable that she would be someone’s mistress. The trines from the Midheaven to Saturn/Pluto in her Leo 1st House hints at that someone being a royal, especially as that conjunction is square to Jupiter in Scorpio.
Her maternal great-grandmother, Alice Keppel, was a mistress of King Edward VII from 1898 to 1910

I suppose it runs in the family.
There Were Three in This Marriage

Honestly, I can see how this emotional triangle came about. Camilla had already married Andrew Parker Bowles and was out of the running to be Charles’ wife by the time he met Diana. Diana was considered the better royal consort because she was young, virginal, and beautiful. Good breeding stock, one might say.
But Charles was still in love with Camilla, so from the get-go this was going to be tricky.

That T-square setup in Camilla’s birth chart now takes on a very strong echo when combined with Diana and Charles’ wedding chart. And the inconjuncts from Camilla’s Sun and Mercury (in her 12th House) linking to the ‘wedding’ Neptune at 22 degrees Sagittarius (Diana’s Ascendant is within 4 degrees) means that Camilla was party to a deception of a major proportion. The other inconjunct links Camilla’s Uranus in Gemini to the ‘wedding’ Uranus in Scorpio. Camilla may have been in two minds about it, but she couldn’t fight the rising tide of needing to keep her feelings secret.

The Civil Wedding in Windsor Guildhall (April 9, 2005)

They say what goes around, comes around again. (The whole idea of astrology is based on this concept). I was originally going to show you Camilla and Charles’ wedding chart on its own, but decided to share how this wedding affected Camilla instead.
There is no doubt that these events are timed by the Universe, and not by humans. Camilla and Charles’ wedding was delayed by one day, due to Charles having to attend Pope John Paul II’s funeral in Rome. Nevertheless, the energies for the day were ‘right’ for their civil wedding.
The ‘wedding’ Ascendant at 17 degrees Cancer is conjunct Saturn, and both are linked to Camilla’s Sun/Mercury/Part of Fortune conjunction. In fact, the ‘wedding’ Part of Fortune is almost exactly conjunct Camilla’s Sun. And notice how Camilla’s Pluto in her 1st House is now opposite the ‘wedding’ Mars/Neptune conjunction in Aquarius. This is the culmination of ‘coming out’ in the public sphere as Charles’ mistress after her divorce in 1995. The royal secret was a secret no more (and, had never been).
The ‘wedding’ Sun/Moon conjunction also involves the Venus/North Node conjunction in Aries. Talk about taking the ram by the horns, eh?
So, not quite the fairy tale ending, but, in this day and age, totally realistic. Thank you Netflix for helping us to understand the people behind the headlines.
