Group Work vs. Cosmic Family Dynamics

It’s been an interesting couple of days. Along the way, great lessons have been learned by all concerned. And, depending on one’s point-of-view, a great emancipation success and a dismal failure to launch.
My mother used to have a real problem with we children talking among ourselves. She called it gossiping. We called it staying in touch. And for some reason, her wish to keep us compartmentalized seems to be still working in our lives, even though she’s been gone for 18 years in May. But I never forget, and that’s what this post is about.
It is very revealing when someone comes from a dysfunctional family situation: single parent; only child; orphaned; no children; and divorced parents. It can be devastating to the individual, and the need to control one’s environment to ‘protect’ one’s ego can be overwhelming.
But what if that gets in the way of working in conjunction with other people?
