Buffy Sainte-Marie (February 20, 1941)

Buffy Sainte-Marie was our first Indigenous artist/activist. She is 82 years young.

I have purposely randomized the timing, as no one knows what time she was born. (Most websites state that they have chosen noon, but the charts seem skewed for 9 or 10 am.) There is one Yod, pointing at Pluto, wouldn’t you know. She cannot help her activism.

There will be many changes in your life, and you will be affected by deep psychological forces that may be difficult to understand at times, as well as confusing to the people around you. You approach people with great intensity, and your emotional involvements are seldom casual. Either you like people very much or you dislike them intensely. Possibly your attitudes on other matters will be extreme also. One of the most important lessons that you will have to learn is to be more moderate.

You are very serious for your age, perhaps too much so, for taking everything very seriously can destroy much of the joy in life. Not all encounters are important and require you to put yourself on the line, although you may try to live that way.

You have a strong will and always want to have your own way. But very often it seems as if tremendous forces are working to prevent you from getting what you want. If you have this problem, it is because of the way you go about trying to achieve your ends. If you put too much force into your desire for something, you may unknowingly alienate people because your aggressive manner shows that you will let nothing stop you from getting what you want. Even if that isn’t the way you really feel about it, you should recognize that your forcefulness creates this impression.

At certain times in your life, when there are great changes taking place within you and in your environment, you will have to work very hard to make your affairs turn out right. There is nothing to be done at those times except do the work that must be done. Fortunately you have plenty of energy and enough endurance to pull through anything that you will encounter in life. You are basically tough and persistent. These changes are an integral part of your growth, and even if everything seems to go wrong they are necessary to your full development.
