Marrying Her Gave William Marshal Status

Isabel de Clare (c. 1172 – March 11, 1220)

There’s a kind of justice in the fact that some men can marry above their station and become aristocracy. Richard the Lionheart arranged this marriage, and William Marshal was set for the rest of his life.

It really is a shame that we do not know exactly when Isabel de Clare was born: she would have made an interesting subject of reincarnation. For now, all we can do is look at her death chart. There’s a young lady of my acquaintance who has that same water triangle (Sun in Pisces, Saturn [not Moon] in Scorpio and Cancer Ascendant). What are the chances of that? There are several inconjuncts, but only two form a Yod pointing at the ‘fatal’ Sun. Uranus and Pluto are powerful planets. Can we trust the timing? Of course, not. But, even so, Jupiter would substitute for the Cancer Ascendant, should it be wrong.
