Didn’t Think This Cartoon Would Become So Popular

The Addams Family (August 7, 1938)

I was intrigued, when this date showed up on an internet site, as the first time that this cartoon was published by The New Yorker. I chose the time of midnight, just to see what would be revealed.

Uranus on the Ascendant? Check. A Yod pointing at Jupiter? Check. Another Yod pointing at Pluto? Check. An inconjunct linking Saturn and Neptune? Checkmate.

The hidden agendas, revealed by those aspects, demonstrate how something as bizarre as a cartoon about ghoulish family members could capture the imagination of a nation.

Charles Addams (January 7, 1912 – September 29, 1988)

If you think about it, the cartoonist should also have some of these aspects, shouldn’t he?

And surprise, surprise, there is a double Yod, pointing at Uranus and the Midheaven, and another Yod pointing at Mercury. Hmm. That has to stand for something, right?

What I didn’t expect to see was the Ascendant of both charts to be so close (less that 1° different) @ 20° Taurus. The combined chart has only one interactive inconjunct, linking the two charts’ Suns together. That seems like destiny, to me.
