Today’s apropos quote of the day
Involuntary Celibate
Yesterday, a young man decided to drive a rented Ryder van down the sidewalk on Yonge Street in Toronto. Was this a terrorist attack? No. It was one person’s way to ‘punish’ the world.
Last night, the CBC shared what they knew about the individual who did this horrendous thing. It seems that they found a Facebook account purporting to belong to the young man in which he identifies him self as an ‘incel’. I had never heard the term before, so my immediate thought was, “He did this because he couldn’t get laid?”
The Chart
Look at the figure that shows up as a blue arrow in the middle of the chart. It’s a YOD (Finger of God). The two arms are formed by Mars (conjunct Pluto) in Capricorn and Neptune on its own in Pisces. They connect to the Ascendant (conjunct Moon) in Leo.
This is a deadly combination, to be sure. But, without the individual’s birth chart, we cannot see precisely why this event was triggered by this person.
Moon Inconjunct Mars
Until you learn to handle your feelings, you are likely to get angry easily, have temper tantrums and be touchy about what is yours and what is not. You may feel you have to defend yourself against imagined threats.
Moon Inconjunct Neptune
This aspect indicates that you are very sensitive and that you pick up feelings from the people around you very easily. The danger is that many of these feelings will be difficult to cope with; they may make you afraid of the world and reluctant to go out into it.
Moon Inconjunct Pluto
This aspect means that your emotions are very intense and not always easy to deal with. Often your feelings make you want to do or say something without knowing why. Also you may have very intense moods in which you withdraw from those around you into a world of your own.
Moon Conjunct Ascendant
You make an impression on others largely through your emotions. People always know how you feel about something, because you make no effort to hide it.
Mars Conjunct Pluto
You have a very strong will, although you may express it in subtle ways. If you don’t get your way, you may lose your temper, but when you see that that will get you nowhere, you change your tactics.
Mars Inconjunct Ascendant
The difficulty with this aspect is to find a balance between getting what you want in life and getting along with others. More than most people, you will have to learn the necessity of compromising to get along with people, especially because you often seem more agressive than you are.
Neptune Inconjunct Ascendant
This aspect can be a sign that you feel you must give way to others in order to get along with them. If you do not stand up for your rights, this problem will get worse, because you express your unconscious resentment as a martyred attitude.
Pluto Inconjunct Ascendant
This can be an indication that through experiences with others, you will be forced to undergo many significant changes in life. At times the crises may be quite unpleasant, but for the most part the results will be very positive, although for some people, they may be less constructive. But you must be very careful about the kind of people you get involved with. Choose your friends with great care and try to find people who have a healthy outlook on life and who seem reasonable well balanced. People who are driven to extreme behavior or who act compulsively, as if they could not plan anything in advance, are not good for you. They will get you into difficult situations that you do not need.
Conclusion
The video of the driver being confronted, and then taken down, by a Toronto policeman, demonstrated to me that he was attempting ‘suicide by cop’. If this had happened in the United States, I’m sure he would have had his wish granted.
Instead, his rampage will come back to haunt him for the rest of his life.
To date, 10 dead, 15 injured.
All just because he was alone and lonely.
