OK. Everybody take a deep breath. The surprise candidate at the Iowa caucuses this week was Alfred E. Neuman. So far, he is leading Bernie Sanders by a couple of percentage points. The Democratic Presidential Candidate for 2020 is coming down to a contest between the old man and the young boy. Oh, and Pete is openly gay.
But is he a winner? He thinks he is, having declared on Monday night, BEFORE the results were announced the next day, that he had won. How did he know? Hmmm.
His Birth Chart
Before I go into what his chart may look like, a word of warning: the only detail astrologers have about his birth time is that it was at night. So, hedging their bets, all of them have decided to take the mean time of 9:00 p.m. That gives Pete a very bland birth chart (and I mean that in the nicest possible way).
Knowing how dark winter nights are here in North America, I decided to move the clock back three hours to 6:00 p.m. That way, his becoming Mayor of South Bend shows up at the age of 30, the timing when Mercury is in a 7th House Aquarius position.
Now his Ascendant is 3º Leo. That’s a good place to be if you want to lead the western world. There were two career choices that make him an ideal candidate for the Presidency, serving in the military, and being a naval intelligence officer. Being the mayor seems to be a sideline job, in the sense that it was just a way to dip his toe into the political pool. But if you look at the first three planets in the ‘railroad’ sequence, it is significant that they are Mars (soldier), Saturn (government) and Pluto (secrets) in Libra (balance). Ahh, now it makes sense.
And do you see that Moon/Uranus conjunction in Sagittarius the 5th House? That’s his appeal to voters of all political stripes, including LGBTQ electors. Bernie cannot compete with that, as he is only a ‘progressive socialist’, with an appeal mainly to the young, who are fickle in politics, ready to abandon the process at a moment’s notice.
And, to be reflective and retrospective, JFK was previously the youngest person to be elected President in 1960, and he was a sailor, too.
Something about a man in uniform, I guess.
But only time and circumstance can tell how this will all turn out.
