Elvis Presley Dies at 42
Yesterday’s post covered Elvis Presley’s birth chart.
Today, we are going to look at his death chart.
I am aware that the ‘official’ time of death was listed as 2:50 pm on August 16, 1977. But I’m timing this chart at 2:30 pm, because that is when he was found unconscious in his bathroom, without vital signs (like breathing). The 20 minute time difference would have placed more emphasis on Neptune at the Ascendant, but I suspect he was already dead at the earlier time. The other point will be seen later: the conjunction of the birth and death Ascendants.
Just one inconjunction, this time:
Venus Inconjunct Neptune
This aspect will work out with the fewest problems if you get a great deal of emotional support from your parents and other loved ones. You are willing to serve, help and assist those you love, but you may honestly feel that you don’t deserve to be loved unless you are forced to serve your loved one in some way. This is because you feel that loving someone requires you to make sacrifices and to deny your own needs and that love may not necessarily make you feel good and warm. While you are young, this attitude is likely to show up only as a feeling of unworthiness and shyness toward others, especially those who seem to like you. When you are older, you may have severe problems in love relationships, because you feel that you are only good enough for society’s losers, people who badly need help or have severe emotional problems. Or you may find someone who seems to be perfect, who will help you out of your problems, but later turns out to be a disappointment. You must learn to take a clear, objective view of the people you are attracted to and to realize that you deserve a positive love relationship as much as the other person does, for you are as worthwhile as anyone.
Comparing the Charts
Comparing the natal and ‘death’ charts shows that Elvis was destined to die when he did. Now, I’m sure that phrase may sound harsh to you, but hear me out. The aspects between these charts show another double Yod (Finger of God), this time between his natal Mercury and the ‘fatal’ Mars. That labels this event as an accidental overdose, as there was no intention to die, on his part. But the Sun/Saturn conjunction in Leo of the death chart is straddling the 9th House cusp of 21º Leo 21′ of his birth chart. I see that as a definite ‘exit’ point.
Finally, the ‘fatal’ Neptune transiting his natal Ascendant (1º apart) would ensure that his legacy would be forever in our hearts.
Always on My Mind
Long Live The King!
