And What About Elvis’ “Other Woman”?

Priscilla Ann Beaulieu (May 24, 1945)

When Elvis met her, while serving in the US Army in Germany, Priscilla was only 14 years old. Elvis was 10 years older. Cradle robbing? But we must remember that Elvis was his mother’s only surviving child (his twin died in childbirth) and to Gladys she would have been an ‘innocent’ woman and therefore uncorrupted by the ways of the world, and good for Elvis.

But can that actually be considered true, when looking at Priscilla’s birth chart? There are four inconjuncts with two of them forming a Yod with her Ascendant @ 6° Capricorn. Although, seemingly conflicted, my first impression is that she knew exactly how to get her man.

Sun Inconjunct Ascendant

You may find that no matter how hard you try to show others who you really are, they misunderstand you somehow. This is because the angular relationship between your rising sign and Sun sign indicates that your internal energies are quite different from the energies you show to the world. You are not intentionally dishonest with the world, you simply present a confusing complex of energies. As you get older, you will learn more about your effect on people, which will enable you to put the two sides of your personality together so that they work smoothly. Be patient and do not hurry. Look at each relationship as an opportunity to learn more about yourself through your effects upon others. You will know you have learned this when you no longer attract people who are psychologically difficult to deal with.

Moon Inconjunct Uranus

With this aspect you must learn to control sudden outbursts of emotion that occur at difficult times when you least expect it. Also your present home life may not be a stable situation in which you can grow up emotionally secure and confident. A particular incident when you were very young may have given you the feeling that you can’t count on anything or anyone for support. Later in life, you may try very hard to get away from anything that reminds you of your earliest childhood, even if your childhood has not been difficult. You just feel that you have to get away and go somewhere else.

Mars Inconjunct Jupiter

It is important to realize that you are not unlucky. Accidents or mishaps result from going too far too fast rather than from bad luck. If you slow down and learn new skills carefully and slowly, you will do as well as anyone else, perhaps better. However, this may be difficult for you, because you are somewhat impulsive and quite restless. You find it almost impossible to sit still for very long. You are always eager for change and new experiences, even when you are not ready for them yet. The only way to get over this is through self-discipline.

Pluto Inconjunct Ascendant

This can be an indication that through experiences with others, you will be forced to undergo many significant changes in life. At times the crises may be quite unpleasant, but for the most part the results will be very positive, although for some people, they may be less constructive. But you must be very careful about the kind of people you get involved with. Choose your friends with great care and try to find people who have a healthy outlook on life and who seem reasonably well balanced. People who are driven to extreme behavior or who act compulsively, as if they could not plan anything in advance, are not very good for you. They will get you into difficult situations that you do not need.

The King and Her

“Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive.” (Sir Walter Scott)

This jumble of joint aspects reminds me of Charles and Diana. And look how that marriage worked out. This is what happens when one individual is a decade or more older than the other. There are very few direct connections, and a great many stressful aspects between them.

And Priscilla, who should have been on top of the world, because she married The King, had a very strained relationship with him, because he started to treat her with kid gloves after Lisa Marie was born, exactly nine months after their wedding day! His adoration for his mother was transferred to Priscilla, when she became the mother to his child. That wasn’t what she wanted.

You can’t always get what you want

You can’t always get what you want

You can’t always get what you want

But if you try sometimes

Well, you might find

You get what you need.
