Would You Believe: a Tic Tac?

The Nimitz Encounter (November 14, 2004)

No doubt you’ve seen the (now unclassified) videos of ‘something’ being tracked by US Air Force pilots, as part of their (partial) disclosure, as requested by Congress. I won’t repeat them here, since no one is sure if they are ‘real’ or not. I’m going to look at one particular incident astrologically, instead.

Now, where is one to begin, to unravel the whole story? That Grand Trine linking the Sun, Saturn and the Ascendant seems to be a proof (of sorts) that this could be a military maneuver.

In other words, a military exercise. Perhaps to test the detection equipment, the pilots’ skills and/or the ability to videotape the intruder. But is it real?

There are two inconjuncts and one implied conjunction.

Moon Inconjunct Saturn

This aspect usually means that your need for emotional security conflicts with your need to live with the world’s demands. Each of us needs to be accepted and loved for what we are, in order to have enough self-confidence to deal with the world. But we also have to learn to live with our own life situations in order to survive. In other words, we have to realize that we can’t have everything we want. With this aspect, these two needs are working against each other. Probably you will satisfy one of them at the expense of the other.

Saturn Inconjunct Midheaven

This aspect indicates that you very much need a positive relationship with your parents, especially your father. You should not be disciplined sternly unless you are given lots of love at the same time. Otherwise, giving and receiving love from others will be a real problem for the rest of your life. Unless you are truly supported by your family and friends, you will begin o feel lonely and isolated from others and inferior to them. Also you are likely to have very serious difficulties with authority figures, because you are afraid of how they will treat you, not expecting that anyone will ever give you the loving guidance you need. You will see all authorities only as potential threats to your freedom and as sources of pain and trouble.

Moon Conjunct Midheaven

Be careful not to believe passively that the world will surely take care of you. You probably will receive a great deal of help from others, especially women, but like anyone else, you will have to work to make the best of it. You should be very good a getting along with the public, because you can make people feel that you belong with them. You have genuine sympathy for people, especially those who remind you of people you knew when you were young.

This placement can indicate that in your career you will work with the public or large groups of people. Your profession might involve protecting and taking care of people, or you might be in advertising or public relations.

(The reason I included the Moon Conjunct Midheaven description is that we need to remember that this whole thing might have been a public relations exercise from the very start.)

Conclusion? Not really sure…
