George T. Delacorte, Jr (June 20, 1893 – May 4, 1991)
This will seem a bit twisted, logic-wise: in a book about the ascended masters, the fact of Thoth’s passing from this earth on May 4, 1991 made me do a Google search to see who died that day. (The other person who died that day was Dennis Crosby, one of the twin sons of Bing Crosby, of an apparent shotgun wound…)
Thoth is a specific historical man who went through ascension fifty-two thousand years ago. For sixteen thousand years he was the king of Atlantis, where his name was Chiquetet Arlich Vomalites. He remained on Earth in the same body until May 4, 1991. He could have left earlier— most ascended masters have— but he was among a small group who decided to stay. Knowing without any doubt whatsoever that all things are interconnected and that there is One Spirit that moves through everything, Thoth preferred to remain here as a teacher.

To be honest, there is not a lot of biographical information about George Delacorte, except that he founded the Dell Magazine when he was about 28, so that is how I rectified his birth chart, focusing on Mercury at that age. His first marriage to Margarita probably happened before that time (Venus) and his success came later (Mars). (Philanthropy should have been his middle name.) There is one inconjunct.
Uranus Inconjunct Pluto (1892-1894 and 1911-1912)
This aspect indicates changes in the world of the people who were born at these times, changes that were difficult to understand because they were very revolutionary but subtle in many ways. The people born during the first period experienced the consequences of these changes through having to fight in the First World War. The second group reached maturity at the time of the Great Depression. Both the First World War and the Depression were expressions of the breakdown of the nineteenth-century world order that was dominated by Western Europe.
The Written Word
The overarching connection between the Egyptian Thoth and Mr. Delacorte is publishing. It’s ironic, isn’t it? If Thoth was supposed to have existed for thousands of years in a physical body, why would he choose this one? And, to add mystery to the mix, why did Delacorte’s mother have to sign a birth declaration for him when he was almost 31 years of age?

Is that the energy of Neptune and Pluto conjunct in Gemini in effect? Very mysterious…
And the only reason I am focused on his birth date is the fact that even Wikipedia has it wrong, even though his grave marker clearly states the ‘correct’ dates.

Hmm…

OK. Enough said.
And just so you can see where my mind is about this, I see Delacorte as a cross between Clark Kent (reporter) and Bruce Wayne (philanthropist). Therefore, Thoth is Superman/Batman combined…
