The Psychology of Colour

Blue and Yellow (in the Flag of Ukraine)

This might seem an obvious thing, but nature has a way of demonstrating primary colours like blue and yellow (and in this case a clear blue sky over a field of yellow wheat). There is knowledge in its use.

My purpose in pointing this out is the current use of these two colours in current advertising campaigns.

The opposing teams jerseys were the blue/yellow combination.

The owner’s clothes?

Even the blue-and-yellow Tanager gets in on the act.

All nature seems united, in support of Ukraine.

Blue is the colour associated with the Throat (“I speak”), and yellow with the Solar Plexus (“I do”).

I spent hours trying to see if the ‘blue and yellow’ paint sampling on a wall would show up: it did, last night, on a different (but related) Tostitos commercial.
