But What About the Victim, Herself?

Kathleen Hunt ( February 21, 1953 – December 9, 2001)

I hate to keep harping on this ‘event’ but her birth chart might hold the key to what happened to Kathleen Peterson on that fateful night.

I originally randomized the timing, but then decided that 8 am was the best fit. Unfortunately, there is no other way I can ‘prove’ this birth time, now. That double Yod (Finger of God) pointing to the 24° Pisces Ascendant is a ‘proof’ of sorts.

Saturn Inconjunct Ascendant (perhaps)

With this aspect you probably have a rather serious attitude toward life and other people. It may be quite difficult for you to simply go out and have a good time. You want to be serious and to spend all your time performing significant tasks. This attitude may have developed because you were discouraged from enjoying yourself when you were younger. You may have been made to feel that only work is important, that play serves no useful purpose. This is not true, however, because playing has a positive and useful function in the development of the adult mind and body. Not only does it serve to release tensions, but it also actually helps train you in social and physical skills that will be useful in any work you do later.

You need to be encouraged to believe in yourself and to recognize your personal strength. You have to be helped to realize that you as an individual are worth a lot and that you need to get some satisfaction from life as much as the next person does.

Neptune Inconjunct Ascendant (perhaps)

This aspect can be a sign that you feel you must give way to others in order to get along with them. This can take two forms, both of which will be difficult to handle while you are young. The less positive form is simply yielding to all outside pressure and always giving in to others’ desires. This will produce unconscious feelings of resentment that you can’t express, but that make your relationships with others rather difficult. And as you get older, if you do not learn to stand up for your rights, this problem will get worse, because you express your unconscious resentment as a martyred attitude, which makes it impossible for others to appreciate or use anything they get from you. Thus the results of your sacrifice are totally negative, because you are not happy with giving and they are not happy with receiving.

But the other, more positive, way of dealing with this energy is by giving freely before others try to take it from you. In order to do this, you have to feel good about yourself and confident that you will always have enough for yourself and others. One side of you likes to help and take care of people and will not feel taken [advantage of] by those whom you give to. In the highest expression of this aspect, what you gain for yourself will not mean as much as what you gain for others, which is the effect you should work for.

Saturn Conjunct Neptune (definitely)

Wherever this aspect affects the chart, it brings about a feeling of insecurity, as if reality itself were not quite dependable. You are fearful and tend toward depression. However, if you master its energies, you can learn to live with very little. This aspect does not necessarily mean that you won’t have physical resources, it merely means that they are less essential to you than to others. Many persons with this aspect choose to be unencumbered by material possessions, preferring to live ascetically, with few comforts. And the psychologically effect is similar, in that you may have a very great capacity to sacrifice yourself for others or for your beliefs.

Basically, you must learn to trust, not only other people, but the universe as well. You must believe that circumstances in your life will work out in your favor, because life should be no harder for you than for anyone else. However, if you succumb to the fear that can accompany this aspect, you will be subject to sudden losses of confidence, fits of anxiety and possibly fear of others.

Pluto Inconjunct Ascendant (perhaps)

This can be an indication that through experiences with others, you will be forced to undergo many significant changes in life. At times the crises may be quite unpleasant, but for the most part the results will be very positive, although for some people, they may be less constructive. But you must be very careful about the kind of people you get involved with. Choose your firnds with great care and try to find people who have a healthy outlook on life and who seem reasonably well balanced. People who are driven to extreme behavior or who act compulsively, as if they could not plan anything in advance, are not very good for you. They will get you into difficult situations that you do not need.

Also, watch for compulsiveness, or extreme behavior [in] yourself. These qualities could be quite hard for others to handle, and people will probably avoid you if you express them freely.

(The thing that strikes me about the information shown above is that this could have described her first marriage, from which she learned her lessons before marrying Michael Peterson.)

Kathleen’s Birth and Death Charts Combined

Hmm. The ‘fatal’ Ascendant transiting her natal Neptune seems significant. (Mysterious, one might say.)

The ‘fatal’ Mars transiting her natal Sun is also fascinating. Her natal Jupiter sextile Uranus is the basis of an interactive Yod pointing to the ‘fatal’ Sun/Pluto conjunction in Sagittarius, with the ‘fatal’ Jupiter transiting Uranus. Finally, the ‘fatal’ Saturn is transiting her natal Moon. Her time had come, for sure.

What do you think, Ellie? Could it have been the bird, after all?
