Dear Next Generation

I’m borrowing this image to help introduce a delicate subject matter: advice.
The so-called Baby Boom generation were the children of people who survived World War II. That kind of says it all, but the missing bit is that out children and their children will have to recreate another world war in order to completely get what we were fighting for, and against.
The Sixties was a time when our parents thought the whole world had gone mad. We teenagers and others in their early twenties were trying to make them see that war was not the answer, love was.
Let’s just say our methods weren’t the best, but they were all we had to wake everyone up.
“getting so much resistance from behind…”
Now we’re in the driver’s seat of the political school bus, and the kids are still bickering with each other in their seats. Spit balls are flying and everyone’s yelling, “Hooray for our side.” When will they ever learn?
We are all in this together: there is no ‘them and us’. If you haven’t woken up yet…
“Stop, hey, what’s that sound? Everybody look what’s going down…”
