Star Wars: The Acolyte (2024)
Carrie-Anne Moss was Trinity in the Matrix series of films. No one could kick butt like her. Now she’s starring as Indara:
A Jedi Master proficient in “Force-fu” fighting, who is killed by Mae at the start of the series. Headland wanted the audience to immediately feel that Indara was “the most powerful Jedi in the room”. She was inspired by Moss’s portrayal of Trinity in The Matrix film series when creating the character and intended for audiences to see Indara as “Trinity with a lightsaber”. Headland felt the character’s death set the tone for the series, established that Jedi can be killed, and indicated that audience assumptions about who is good and bad could be wrong. Moss bonded with Stenberg on set over their shared spiritual background.

Well, wouldn’t you know it: no one knows her correct time of day for her birth, but some clues exist:
Date and place of birth from Wikipedia. Moss’ IMDb bio has the time 4:05pm; no source given .
An article in Esquire of 29 January 2007 states, “She was born early in the morning on an August day in the summer of love in Vancouver, British Columbia”, as Montanee Tantisook pointed out by email in January 2022.
Sy Scholfield quotes name, date and place from birth notice, no time given, The Vancouver Sun (British Columbia), 22 August 1967: born at Grace Hospital to Bob Waterfield and Barbara (nee Sadgrove), a sister for Brooke. (Her mother must have later married Melvyn Moss).
My baby girl, Rosanna, was born at that same hospital, so in truth, Moss was born in Vancouver, itself.
So, I have followed the one dissenting voice in the astrology world and set Ms. Moss’ birth time to 5:05 am (bearing in mind that it could have actually been 4:05 am, instead).

There are two inconjuncts, but only one can be relied upon because it’s not time-dependent.

You may feel that you cannot indulge yourself in any pleasure or even love. When you are older, you may feel that duty and ambition must come before love and human relationships. Unfortunately, if you follow that path, you will become very lonely, and when you realize that you belong to no one and nothing, you will go through a spiritual crisis.
Planets in Youth (page 198) by Robert Hand (1977)
Moss seems to inhabit those roles perfectly, probably because of this one aspect: duty before love.
I’ve seen two episodes so far, and I’ve read somewhere that Indara returns in a flash-back in episode three. I’m looking forward to that. I wonder what Trinity would make of Indara.
