Peter Rabbit was Her Childhood Companion

Beatrix Potter (July 28, 1866 – December 22, 1943)

This might seem a strange subject for an astrological portrait, but my interest in her came about by watching the 2006 BBC film “Miss Potter”, starring Renée Zellweger. I guess it doesn’t hurt to have the star of “Bridget Jones’s Diary” (2001) playing the lead role.

Meet Miss Potter

Miss Potter’s birth time is unknown. I moved the clock until the Neptune/South Node in Aries clicked into the age of 36, when her first book was published. With Venus conjunct the Scorpio Ascendant seemed appropriate, too. Note that Neptune and the Moon are both inconjunct to Venus and the Ascendant, forming a Yod, pointing to them. There is one other inconjunct, linking Mars with Saturn. That may be significant in that she (more of less) dictated the terms of her relationship with the publisher’s agent, Norman Warne. In the end, they couldn’t marry, because he got sick and died first.
