Star: 5 – Uranus: The Enigmatic Star

Whenever there is an enigma, alternate methods must be utilized to ‘understand’ what is going on. In Jesus’ case, astrology seems to have been the basis of his understanding of life and other people.

The Temple Visit…

Every year his parents went to Jerusalem for the Feast of the Passover. When he was twelve years old, they went up to the feast, according to the custom. After the feast was over, while his parents were returning home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem, but they were unaware of it. Thinking he was in their company, they travelled on for a day. Then they began looking for him among their relatives and friends. After three days they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers. When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother said to him: “Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you.”

“Why were you searching for me?” he asked. “Didn’t you know that I had to be in my Father’s house?” But they did not understand what he meant.

Then he went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. But his mother treasured all these things in her heart. And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men. (Luke 2:41-52)

…at twelve years of age

At twelve years of age

There’s that term, ‘understanding’, which will be important for our journey through Jesus’ life. Because his age (12) is mentioned, you can be sure that it is a significant clue: 12 being the number of inches in a foot, for example, or the number of astrological signs.

From The Star of Bethlehem Mystery: In ancient Babylon and Israel, however, there was a strong belief in the power and usefulness of astrology, and even Jesus was regarded as having considerable knowledge of the subject. The report of the twelve-year-old Jesus ‘sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them and asking them questions’ when the holy family had made their annual trip to Jerusalem for the feast of the Passover is told succinctly in Luke’s Gospel, but it is greatly elaborated in the Arabic Gospel of the Savior’s Infancy. In this the young Jesus sits in the temple ‘among the teachers and elders and learned men of the sons of Israel, to whom he put various questions upon the sciences and gave answers in his turn’ (verse 50). Verse 51 continues: ‘And a philosopher who was there present, a skillful astronomer, asked the Lord Jesus whether he had studied astronomy. And the Lord Jesus answered him and explained the number of the spheres, and of the heavenly bodies, their natures and operations; their oppositions, their aspects, triangular, square and sextile; their course, direct and retrograde; the twenty-fourths and sixtieths of twenty-fourths; and other things beyond the reach of reason.’

Initially I was confused by the reference to the ‘twenty-fourths’ and the ‘sixtieths of twenty-fourths’, thinking they had something to do with the Lunar Months, or the Arabian Pars, and then it dawned on me, literally: Jesus was speaking of the division of the day into 24 hours and each hour into 60 minutes! He did, therefore, have the ‘understanding’ of the significance of 12.

From Genisis: The 360 day voyage of Earth around the sun must determine the degrees of the circle. Whether Earth ever performed such an orbit is irrelevant. The actual orbit was numerically close enough to equate with that which the symbolic geometry demanded. The actual relationship between the diameter of the circle and its circumference posed the same problem, and it is for this reason that the symbolic value of π being 3 was chosen, and demonstrated in the Bible. But what of the rotation of the planet itself? It was essential that this cyclic motion be divided into units, the number of which would form a bridge between the progression of numbers which were the invariables of geometry and celestial cycles. It was the only area of free choice available and, for those who have the ‘understanding’, it could only be 24, with sub-divisions of 60. Following the most elementary use of 24 certain revelations occur; the divisions of the circle of 360 by this number produces the manner in which the circle of churches at Rennes is divided (360 divided by 24 = 15). The division produces the 15 of Osiris…

That number 15 is his number before he was killed by his brother Set who scattered his parts to the four winds. Isis found 14 of them, and put him back together again. Unfortunately, the missing bit was his phallus.

This is what H.P. Blavatsky wrote about Osiris in her Theosophical Glossary: The greatest God of Egypt, the Son of Seb (Saturn), celestial fire, and of Neith, primordial matter and infinite space. This shows him as the self-existent and self-created god, the first manifesting deity (our third Logos), identified with Ahura Mazda and other “First Causes”. For as Ahura Mazda is one with, or the synthesis of, the Amshaspends, so Osiris, the collective unit, when differentiated and personified, becomes Typhon, his brother, Isis and Nephtys his sisters, Horus his son and his other aspects. He was born at Mount Sinai, the Nyssa of the O.T. (See Exodus xvii, 15), and buried at Abydos, after being killed by Typhon at the early age of twenty-eight, according to the allegory…

Of the many supreme gods, this Egyptian conception is the most suggestive and the grandest, as it embraces the whole range of physical and metaphysical thought. As a solar deity he had twelve minor gods under him — the twelve signs of the Zodiac. Though his name is the “Ineffable”: his forty-two attributes bore each one of his names, and his seven dual aspects completed the forty-nine, or 7 x 7; the former symbolized by the fourteen members of his body, or twice seven. Thus the god is blended in man, and the man is deified into a god.

According to the Encyclopedia of Astrology: Uranus is deemed a higher octave of Mercury. Often fails to know his own mind, but is moved by providential circumstances; often a fatalist who considers his destiny beyond his control.

Naturally inclined to be variable, spasmodic, impulsive, prophetic, and heroic, under restriction — even that of an inferiority complex — it becomes eccentric, refractory, bohemian, fanatical, anarchistic, and given to hurling sarcastic invectives at anybody or anything on any pretext and without provocation.

Uranus is eminently the planet of science and invention, particularly aviation, electricity, and astrology.

Jesus entered the temple area and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money-changers and the benches of those selling doves. “It is written,” he said to them, “’My house will be called a house of prayer,’ but you are making it a ‘den of robbers.’” (Matthew 21:12-13)

This reminds me of Jesus’ phrase ‘the abomination that causes desolation’ of Matthew 24:15 which in Greek is το βδελυγμα τηζ ερημωσεωζ 370+485+508+2158=3521 (503 x 7) (value 2). This is the second time we have seen the value 503, the other time as it related to ‘I am the Alpha and the Omega, I am the Beginning and the End’ of Revelation. Last time it was multiplied by 8 and signified completion (10) and unity (1); this time it is multiplied by 7 which signifies division (11) and creation (2). All this seems to have been confirmed by David Wood’s vision of the union of a six-pointed star with a five-pointed star as a seven-pointed star (6+5=11) at Rennes-le-Château in the Languedoc region of the South of France.
