Indira Gandhi (November 19, 1917 – October 31, 1984)
This research started out as an innocent question. I asked a fellow astrologer if she’d had a strong connection to a famous person, in a past life. She wrote:
Oooooh that’s a good question…..and honestly one I don’t know the answer.
I do feel like there was SOME previous lifetime where I was “assassinated” but I don’t know if it’s the one most tied to this life or not.
So I searched for assassinated women in the 20th century. The instant result was Indira Gandhi.
Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was assassinated at 9:29 a.m. on 31 October 1984 at her residence in Safdarjung Road, New Delhi. She was killed by her Sikh bodyguard Satwant Singh and Beant Singh in the aftermath of Operation Blue Star.Wikipedia
Normally, I look at the birth chart first, but I’m going to skip to the end of her life, first, to demonstrate a particular planetary lineup. Whenever all the planets are in one section of the chart, the event is significant (think, the dropping of an atom bomb on Japan, for example). This run starts with Pluto @ 2° Scorpio and continues on through Sagittarius and Capricorn, concluding with the Moon @ 3° Aquarius. (Only Chiron @ 7° Gemini, conjunct the Descendant is the handle for this bowl of sorrow.)
This bunching of planets was instantly recognizable as connected to my astrologer friend’s birth chart, so I knew instantly that I had hit the target.
This chart was already on my Kepler 7.0 computer program, so I cannot confirm if the timing is accurate. I suspect it may not be correct, due to the fact that her assassination is not evident. But, again, it may be the placement of Chiron @ 25° Pisces in the 8th House which may be the ‘proof’ of that final event. So I will let the timing of her birth chart remain at 11:11 pm.
There are two inconjuncts.
Mercury Inconjunct Pluto
You have a rather complicated and sometimes tricky mind. You usually prefer to do things in roundabout and involved ways instead of being simple and direct.
On the positive side, this means that you enjoy solving puzzles, tracking down mysteries and finding out about hidden matters. You have a natural ability to understand how people’s minds work, what makes them act as they do, and what they are thinking.
On the negative side, however, you might misuse this ability by trying to control people’s thoughts and words. You may enjoy working in secret and creating an air of mystery about yourself, but this could backfire and make others misunderstand you or even fear what you are doing. It is important to show people that you are honest and that you are not hiding anything. Otherwise they will probably suspect you, even if you are totally innocent. And if you aren’t, they will know it for sure.
On another level, this aspect can mean that at certain times in your life you will go through tremendous changes. All your thoughts and opinions will change completely. These stages may seem difficult, but you will be much better off if you let go of the past and welcome new ideas.
Venus Inconjunct Saturn
You need and want love, but you may not be able to get it easily. You may feel that your parents, teachers or other persons in authority make demands on you that you must fulfill before they will give you any love and support. If that is true, it is unfortunate, because you deserve respect and love as much as anyone. Although everyone must fulfill certain social demands, this should not be the condition for being loved. If this demand is carried to an extreme, you will become cold-hearted and unable to love others even when you want to. You may also feel that you cannot indulge yourself in any pleasure or even love. When you are older, you may feel that duty and ambition must come before love and human relationships. Unfortunately, if you follow that path, you will become very lonely, and when you realize that you belong to no one and nothing, you will go through a spiritual crisis.
They say that the other proof of connection between two people who may be reincarnated is the physical resemblance of their bodies, and especially their faces. Indira didn’t always frown…
