Indira Gandhi and Jeanne d’Arc
In my experience, our childhood heroes have a definite effect on our lives. But is it a case for reincarnation or something else? Let’s look at these two women astrologically together.
Wow! In truth, I wasn’t expecting to see such clear indications of a past life connection between their two birth charts. The Yods are reciprocal (meaning that they point to chart connections both ways) and the only Yod focused on the past, by itself, is the one pointing at Uranus @ 8° Aquarius in Jeanne’s chart. The inconjuncts are formed by Mars @ 9° Scorpio and Pluto @ 5° Cancer in Indira’s chart. That must mean something prophetic about Indira’s death.
I think that Jeanne’s South Node/Mars conjunction is also conjunct Indira’s Mars is also a sign of reincarnation (as in, who incarnated first, Indira or Jeanne?) Plus, Jeanne’s Ascendant/Venus conjunction in Capricorn is conjunct Indira’s Venus @ 13°. Finally, Jeanne’s Sun is conjunct Indira’s Moon (also in Capricorn). That’s enough for me to call it reincarnation…
There are 8 inconjuncts between Jeanne’s death chart and Indira’s birth chart, and most of them form interactive Yods again. And again, Jeanne’s ‘fatal’ South Node is conjunct Indira’s Leo Ascendant. At the same time, Indira’s Saturn @ 14° Leo is conjunct Jeanne’s ‘fatal’ Neptune. Jeanne’s ‘fatal’ Moon/Saturn conjunction in Capricorn is conjunct Indira’s Moon. Jeanne’s ‘fatal’ Mars is conjunct Indira’s PoF. Indira’s South Node (in Cancer) is within 5° of Jeanne’s ‘fatal’ Venus (in Gemini), while their Plutos are conjunct in Cancer, too. This is not a coincidence.
Other astrologers could definitely make a case for spiritual “overshadowing,” but Indira’s obsession with Jeanne’s life (and death) seems to be a recognition of her personal connection to the Maid of Orléans. They both ended up dying for their countries.
By the way, I’ve been to Orléans, and stayed the night at a lovely hotel. There must be something in the water, for I felt totally refreshed the next day, before driving on to the South of France.
