Sylvia Plath (October 27, 1932 – February 11, 1963)

We watched a short documentary about this tortured soul‘s short life two nights ago. She was too far ahead as a feminist in the 1950’s to stay unaffected by society’s pressures to make her conform to their rules. The full TVO documentary is here:

This chart was already on my Kepler 7.0 program, so I’m leaving the timing as it is. Where Mars is in her birth chart may represent her falling in love with Ted Hughes. But it may also represent her conflict with the world and its uncle. Saturn conjunct the 12th House cusp may be the source of her mental issues. Saturn is opposite Pluto in the 5th House.
There is one YOD, formed by two inconjuncts:
Mercury Inconjunct Uranus
Your mind moves quickly from topic to topic, often without pausing long enough for you to understand what you have learned. And if there is a lot of excitement or activity around you, your mind may race so fact to keep up with it that you work yourself into a state of nervous frenzy. Under these circumstances it is almost impossible for you to concentrate or do any useful work.
This aspect might mean that you have nervous problems, such as a tendency to get exhausted or a sensitive disposition that requires a very calm environment in order to prevent further problems.
Venus Inconjunct Uranus
You feel mixed up about whether you want to be close to others or be free. When you are really close to a loved one, you feel smothered and want to get away by yourself to do what you want. But when you are alone and free to do what you want, you miss your loved ones and want to be with them. It will take you several years to understand yourself enough so that you can strike a balance between these two needs, so be patient.

She Committed Suicide at Age 30

This is another one of those “Perfect Storms” when the planets line up in a triggering way, and the individual decides she’s had enough. The event South Node is transiting her natal Saturn @ 28° Capricorn. That alone could be enough to motivate her to stick her head in a gas stove. But at the same time, the event Moon transiting her natal Venus made her mindful enough to seal off the kitchen from her sleeping children so as to keep them safe from her actions. And the event Part of Fortune is conjunct her natal Sun @ 4° Scorpio. This event seems to be ‘on schedule’, as it were.
