The Camp Fire (November 2018)
On the PBS program NOVA last night, the so-called “Camp Fire” was reviewed from first spark to final results, a time space of 17 days. Even though this was exactly six months ago, it still made for some uncomfortable viewing.
Like the epic poem by Milton, this fire went on and on, destroying a huge area of forest, along with property and possessions of the people living there. A large number of them died there, too. It was a fire of Biblical proportions.
The blame for the fire was placed on the wind blowing down a power line. That is a possibility, but it seems more likely that lightning struck a tree. However, I wasn’t there, so I’ll let their scenario stand. But the chart shows three inconjuncts, and they make for a more instantaneous and complete explanation.
Moon Inconjunct Uranus
With this aspect you must learn to control sudden outbursts of emotion that occur at difficult times when you least expect it. Your relationship with your mother [Earth] may be rather unstable. You may secretly resent her. Probably you don’t feel that you can express this consciously, but it could come out when you are angry or upset.
Jupiter Inconjunct Uranus
You will always need freedom, but you will also discover that what you do with your life will have meaning only if it means something to others. This is not an artificial rule but a truth that you will discover within yourself. When you do, you may become heavily involved in some social movement that advocates unusual ideas or ways of thinking.
Pluto Inconjunct Midheaven
Your parents and teachers should be very straightforward with you, because if you feel that people are not being honest with you, you will not be honest with them. You are quite capable of acting behind people’s backs if you consider it necessary or if you feel that you never get your own way.
Another problem that can arise if you are not treated properly is that you may withdraw into yourself and become very secretive, as though you have something to hide even when you don’t. This can make people distrust you.
As we have seen with other charts, when Uranus is involved, it provides the spark that lights the fire.
