This was the view from my back yard at the precise moment of the total solar eclipse when it was crossing South America. Not very spectacular, eh?
But I have a great excuse: the path of totality was mostly over the Pacific Ocean, only touching down for a short while over Chile and Argentina.
However, I did erect a chart for the moment of totality…
Do you see all those red lines? They represent ‘conflict’. However, there are three major (and two minor) green lines, too. These aspects represent mitigating influences.
Venus Trine Ascendant
Your attitude toward life is gentle and peaceful. You like to know that everyone is getting along pleasantly. You hate conflict and cannot see that very much good ever comes from it. Certainly in your own life you do much more by winning people over through friendly persuasion than by fighting. However, at times you will have to stand up for your own views, and you should be prepared to do so. Don’t compromise on what you believe in strongly.
Saturn Sextile Neptune
You are able to do your work and take responsibility for overcoming your own problems and challenges in life, while at the same time being open to spiritual comfort, aid and guidance. A good balance between being well-grounded and being receptive to spirit or the inner world is working in your favour. Enjoying simplicity and cultivating peace enable you to evolve and to work through your challenges.
Neptune Sextile Pluto
The entire generation to which you belong has a tremendous opportunity for spiritual rebirth and awakening. This will not be forced upon you or precipitated by unavoidable events, rather it comes from an inner yearning and a natural propensity to seek the depths.
These are trying times, to be sure. A new Moon is the opportunity to start again, every month. When it coincides with a solar eclipse, the influence is profound. The ordinary people of the world are tired of being hoodwinked. They are expressing their feelings in marches and protests. The world leaders are having to pay attention, albeit reluctantly.
One of those two minor green lines links Venus and Mars…
