Saved by the Light
What’s amazing about this story is that I had never heard of it. My first brush with life after death was reading Raymond Moody’s book about it. He published Life After Life in 1975, the same year that Dannion Brinkley was struck by lightning.
I don’t have the exact time of day or night that Dannion got his ‘phone call from God’, but 8 pm feels about right. Normally I would compare this ‘event’ with a birth chart, but I don’t feel his birth time is correct. So I am going to look at the aspects of the lightning strike only.
Do you see the interactive Yod’s? Moon-Sun-Jupiter and Sun-Moon-Saturn. Couldn’t be clearer, could it?
By Dannion’s own admission he was a bad kid growing up: getting into fights, picking on weaker kids, torturing pets, and disobeying his parents. I wondered if the middle n’s of his name had somehow joined up to become an ‘m’. Damien.
But then he started his career in the military, being the sniper of a hit team of soldiers. He knew he was doing his patriotic duty, so he didn’t have any guilt for his actions.
Until he died…
“The Being of Light engulfed me, and as it did I began to experience my whole life, feeling and seeing everything that had ever happened to me. It was as though a dam had burst and every memory stored in my brain flowed out.
“This life review was not pleasant. From the moment it began until it ended, I was faced with the sickening reality that I had been an unpleasant person, someone who was self-centered and mean.”

Needless to say, the life review had an aspect that he found particularly painful: he got to experience the events of his life with the added perspective of how the other person felt, with the ripple effects of his actions moving outward as it affected others.
“Now, in the life review, I was forced to see the death and destruction that had taken place in the world as a result of my actions.
“‘We are all a link in the great chain of humanity,’ said the Being. ‘What you do has an effect on the other links in that chain.’”

Twelve Gift Boxes (of Knowledge)
“The Beings came at me one at a time. As each one approached, a box the size of a videotape came from its chest and zoomed right at my face.
“The first time this happened I flinched, thinking I was going to be hit. But a moment before impact, the box opened to reveal what appeared to be a tiny television picture of a world event that was yet to happen. As I watched, I felt myself drawn right into the picture, where I was able to live the event. This happened twelve times, and twelve times I stood in the midst of many events that would shake the world in the future.”

“At the very end came a thirteenth vision. I don’t know where it came from. I didn’t see a Being of Light bring it forward in a box, nor did I see one take it away. This vision was in many ways the most important of all because it summed up everything I had seen in the twelve boxes. Through telepathy I could hear a Being say, ‘If you follow what you have been taught and keep living the same way you have lived the last thirty years, all of this will surely be upon you. If you change, you can avoid the coming war.’
“Scenes from World War III came to life before me. I was in a hundred places at once, from deserts to forests, and saw a world filled with fighting and chaos. Somehow it was clear that this final war, an Armageddon if you will, was caused by fear. In one of the most puzzling visions of all, I saw an army of women in black robes and veils marching through a European city.

This vision was followed by others that highlighted famine, migrations of displaced people and all the people from Central America trying to cross into Texas at the Mexican border. The image of the army protecting that border brings us up-to-date.
“As these visions ended, I had the amazing realization that these Beings were desperately trying to help us, not because we were such good guys, but because without us advancing spiritually here on earth, they could not become successful in their world. ‘You humans are truly the heroes,’ a Being told me. ‘Those who go to earth are heroes and heroines, because you are doing something that no other spiritual beings have the courage to do. You have gone to earth to cocreate with God.’”
Brinkley, Dannion. Saved by the Light (p. 47). HarperOne. Kindle Edition.
“He then told me my purpose on earth. ‘You are there to create spiritualistic capitalism,’ he said. ‘You are to engage this coming system by changing people’s thought processes. Show people how to rely on their spiritual selves instead of the government and churches. Religion is fine, but don’t let people be entirely controlled by it. Humans are mighty spiritual beings. All they need to realize is that love is treating others the way they themselves want to be treated.’”

The Two Witnesses
There is a kind of supreme irony in having these two examples of life after death (but from opposite poles) having an in-depth discussion about prophecy. David Wilcock is the reincarnated Edgar Cayce and Dannion Brinkley is an NDE survivor. Talk about ‘blinded by the light‘.
As you may know Revelation chapter 11 chronicles the Two Witnesses.
11 Then I was given a reed like a measuring rod. [a]And the angel stood, saying, “Rise and measure the temple of God, the altar, and those who worship there. 2 But leave out the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it, for it has been given to the Gentiles. And they will tread the holy city underfoot for forty-two months. 3 And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.”
4 These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands standing before the [b]God of the earth. 5 And if anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this manner. 6 These have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy; and they have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire.
The Witnesses Killed
7 When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them. 8 And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also [c]our Lord was crucified. 9 Then those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations [d]will see their dead bodies three-and-a-half days, and not allow their dead bodies to be put into graves. 10 And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.
The Witnesses Resurrected
11 Now after the three-and-a-half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them. 12 And [e]they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them. 13 In the same hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. In the earthquake seven thousand people were killed, and the rest were afraid and gave glory to the God of heaven.
14 The second woe is past. Behold, the third woe is coming quickly. (Revelation 11:1-14 NKJV)
