John Wilkes Booth (May 10, 1838 – April 26, 1865)

Doesn’t it seem ironic to you that the ‘freedom’ party of the present could be the ones who wanted to keep slavery alive in the past, and the GOP (Grand Old Party) should now represent the South while the Democrats rule the North? That is how more than 150 years can evolve political parties. (The party on the left is now the party on the right…)
Originally, Booth and his small group of conspirators had plotted to kidnap Lincoln, and they later agreed to murder him as well as Vice President Andrew Johnson and Secretary of State William H. Seward, likewise to aid the Confederate cause. Although its Army of Northern Virginia, commanded by General Robert E. Lee, had surrendered to the Union Army four days earlier, Booth believed that the Civil War remained unresolved because the Confederate Army of General Joseph E. Johnston continued fighting.

In the end, Andrew Johnson did not get shot. Hmm.

This chart was on my computer program already, so I haven’t changed the time, and when we look at the placement of the planets here, we can see that Booth was radicalized at around age 25 (Pluto in Aries). There are three inconjuncts.
Moon Inconjunct Mars
Until you learn to handle your feelings, you are likely to get angry easily, have temper tantrums and be touchy about what is yours and what is not. You may feel you have to defend yourself against imagined threats. The problem here is that you are likely to become too emotionally involved with ideas, opinions or even objects without knowing it until someone threatens them. Then you react as if you were being personally threatened or attacked. You have to realize that it is possible to change your opinions and attitudes without damaging your worth as a person.
Jupiter Inconjunct Neptune
You are an idealist with very vivid dreams about how you want your life to be, and at certain times in your life you will follow those dreams with all your energy. But sometimes these idealistic dreams will let you down, because you are not concerned enough with what is real and possible. Your parents and other adults may pressure you to be more practical in your thinking, but you think they are just throwing cold water on your aspirations. Yet learning to handle the real world is a very important part of your development, because it is the only way you can avoid becoming bitter and disillusioned when your more impractical ideas have led you into disappointment.
Probably you should not gamble or take excessive risks at any time in your life. Your dreams in this area also will probably go far beyond reality, and you will take chances that can’t possibly be realized.
Uranus Inconjunct Ascendant
Your need to be free and do what your want is often in conflict with what others require of you and even with what you feel you ought to do. Sometimes this conflict can cause considerable physical and emotional tension. The task you face is to organize your life in a disciplined way that will enable you to satisfy your need for freedom through your everyday activities. One way to accomplish this is by figuring out your own methods for doing your work. Or you may choose to do the most interesting and exciting tasks, which are often the most difficult, so that others shy away from them. You need to be challenged by puzzles and problems in all your activities. You are not good at routines and repetitious tasks.
Conclusion
It has been remarked upon that Booth chose his ‘path’ in life because of his father’s infidelity. Strangely enough, he chose one side of the civil war divide in opposition to his brother being on the other. To say he killed President Lincoln out of spite would be simplifying the reasons, but there is an element of truth to that idea.

But maybe he just didn’t like himself.
