The Murder of Dennis Wustenhoff (July 14, 1948 – February 15, 1990)

There’s no ‘proof’ that the husband of Dennis Wustenhoff‘s lover actually planted the bomb that blew up Dennis’ car in 1990, but, as has been shown, this ‘bomb squad’ policeman had the motive, the ability and the means to do so. But, other than being questioned at the time, he has never been arrested, nor charged. (I won’t name him here, because this is not a vigilante post.)

This birth chart is randomized. I was hoping to see ‘something’ at age 41 (the age Dennis was when he died). I wasn’t disappointed: the Sun @ 22° Cancer 20′. That makes the Jupiter (@ 20° Sagittarius 39′) conjunct Ascendant (@ 21° Sagittarius 59′) very significant. These three points in the chart are joined by an inconjunct.

Sun Inconjunct Jupiter

This can be an extremely useful aspect, if you learn to have more self-control in what you do. Jupiter is always high-spirited, wanting to do and encounter everything and enjoy life thoroughly. Yet in some combinations, it means that you are unwilling to work for what you want. You may feel that you are such a fine person that you deserve to have everything done for you. Certainly you are worthwhile in your way, but that doesn’t give you a right to be taken care of without contributing your share. As with all Sun-Jupiter energies, if you learn to support others, to make them feel good and happy in your presence, you will get their support as well. Then there will always be someone to help you when you need it. But if you act arrogant toward others, they may not stay around to support you.

Sun Inconjunct Ascendant

You may find that no matter how hard you try to show others who you really are, they misunderstand you somehow. This is because the angular relationship between your rising sign and Sun sign indicates that your internal energies are quite different from the energies that you show to the world. You are not intentionally dishonest with the world, you simply present a confusing complex of energies. As you get older, you will learn more about your effect on people, which will enable you to put the two sides of your personality together so that they work smoothly. Be patient and do not hurry. Look at each relationship as an opportunity to learn more about yourself through your effects upon others. You will know you have learned this when you no longer attract people who are psychologically difficult to deal with.

Jupiter Conjunct Ascendant

This aspect usually helps you get along with people, because your generosity and helpfulness make a good impression on them. You are open and honest and prefer to be around other people who are also. Usually you are optimistic and cheerful, and even when you are not very happy inside, you manage to hide it from others. When you are so unhappy that you can’t hide your feelings, people are naturally sympathetic and want to help you.

The Murder Chart

This is a fairly accurate time. It turns out the bomb was probably planted to go off on Valentine’s Day, but Dennis took the day off to take one of his daughters to her Valentine dance. It wasn’t ignited until the next day when he set off to go to work at noon. He died three hours later.

So, what about that Yod? Timing is everything, we know, but the planting of the bomb doesn’t count. Only when it exploded was the Yod triggered. See what I mean? The inconjuncts, pointing at the Ascendant @ 19° Gemini 52′, tells me a lot (including that the timing was exactly appropriate, even if that seems a little harsh). Venus and Saturn on one hand, and Pluto on the other. Amazing. All the elements of a soap opera…

Now look at the two charts combined:

When a man’s beginning and ending are opposed (Sagittarius/Gemini Ascendants), it is almost too neat, but sometimes that is the way we can see if any of this is true. Dennis’ actions took nine months before the karma came back to get him in the bum. He would have known who, and he definitely knew why.

I couldn’t rule out the mob having a hand in this event (Pluto), but without the cop (Saturn) being angry about his wife’s infidelity (Venus), the action may never have been carried out.

The lesson? Don’t mess about with another man’s wife, in front of that man, especially if he’s an explosives expert.
