Surviving Death (2021)
After writing about this subject matter for quite a number of years, it’s a relief that there now is a series on Netflix which goes into the permutations and combinations of explorations into what happens after death.

Any part of this 6 episode series will bring you ‘proof’ of the continuation of life, but it’s mostly anecdotal. Scientifically, consciousness beyond the body is difficult to prove. Some people need more than just a feeling. When it happens to you, you will know.
The Mediums episodes were interesting, to say the least, because this is how most people get help with contacting those who are on ‘the other side’ of life. The problem is that they are relying on someone else to be the intermediary and that can result in deception, conscious or unconscious. Critics of the process (and I am one of them) have a resistance to ‘cold readings’ (see “Mrs Green, Medium”) but with the advent of the internet, ‘hot readings’ can be the result of previous researching of social media. And ‘physical’ manifestations (of ectoplasm and control entities) coming through a medium have always been uncomfortable for me to witness, especially now that we’ve moved beyond needing that kind of physical ‘proof’. Watching a seance is so late-1800’s.
The Reincarnation episode was a bit more spectacular in that the children involved were under six years of age when they spontaneously began to talk about their former lives. A couple of them actually suffered from night terrors while still under three. The imprint of their former lives was actually caused by the trauma of being murdered in one case and dying after his airplane went down during WWII in the other. The two older boys have grown into young men, and, as you might expect, their past lives have faded into insignificance now. But it was interesting to see how their families had to adjust to having a stranger’s life coming into their ‘safe’ world through their children.
Finally, I want to share the Cardinal moment at the beginning of fourth episode.
This may be the original mobile phone video of the event, as shown in the program. What made it significant was that this bird is not native to Southern California where this took place. The women had asked for a sign of her continued existence (before she passed) from their now dead relative, and that sign was a Cardinal. This particular bird may have been stunned after hitting their house, and was quite docile while in their hands. But he didn’t seem in any hurry to leave, and that was the surprise. Finally they placed him on the branch of a tree, and finally, after a few moments, he flew away.
But they had received their ‘proof’ of life after death.
I had chills with that cardinal bit xx
