Jesus: A New Vision (2020)
It is very seldom that I read a book from beginning to the very end, these days. This book, I did.
So the reality of Jesus’ life and death comes down to the fact that the Shroud of Turin might actually be true: it is his burial cloth and his resurrection ‘flash of light’ may have imprinted his body’s image on it.
So, now this takes me back to my original feeling in the 1970’s that it was an authentic relic and that it proved that not only did Jesus exist, but that he still exists in a Light Body. And it’s no longer just a matter of faith in that belief: it’s a Truth. You can take that to the Vault of Heaven.
Amen.
When at last you let go of beliefs and replace them with the central, unspoken question that lies at the heart of our whole relationship to reality, what you see of the truth is the immensity of suffering and love that is life now and history, too—the journey of humankind in the sweep of the ages. Belief or faith or none, it does not matter: Jesus is there.
