Meet the Real Life “Rosie the Riveter”

Naomi Parker-Fraley was the original inspiration for Rosie the Riveter poster

Naomi Parker Fraley (August 26, 1921 – January 20, 2018)

For three decades, the inspiration for the Rosie the Riveter poster was wrongly attributed to another woman. In 2009, the real “Rosie” identified herself in the original photographs.

I set the clock for 2 pm to reflect when Fraley’s popularity as “Rosie” took off (the Moon at age 20).

Pluto Inconjunct Ascendant (perhaps)

This can be an indication that through experiences with others, you will be forced to undergo many significant changes in life. At times the crises may be quite unpleasant, but for the most part the results will be very positive, although for some people, they may be less constructive. But you must be very careful about the kind of people you get involved with. Choose your friends with great care and try to find people who have a healthy outlook on life and who seem reasonably well balanced. People who are driven to extreme behavior or who act compulsively, as if they could not plan anything in advance, are not very good for you. They will get you into difficult situations that you do not need.

However, you should not avoid people who force you to observe yourself and the world very clearly. Such people will come into your life at times when changes must occur. You probably will resist their influence, because what they show you will be hard to take, but you must accept it, for they have the highest concern for your well-being.

With your friends, you must learn to give in at least as often as you get your way. Don’t let either you or your friend become dominant. Winning, losing and compromising in equal measure are all part of getting along, which you may find hard.

“Love is Love, and Not Fade Away”

Spoiler Alert (2022)

I am not a fan of films about gay people. This one was suggested by a member of my wife’s family who has gone through a similar ending with her husband and father of her children. That made it personal.

As it is based on a true story, most of the film covers the highlights in a fairly straightforward way, but some of the intimate details got blurred, as you can see if you follow the link above. Strangely, the actor who played Kit looks just like him, but Michael is played by Jim Parsons (of Big Bang Theory fame), who is the same height as Kit, several inches taller than Michael.

I was warned to get the tissues out for the ending. I didn’t need them, because “love is love, and not fade away.”

David Icke has Been Saying the Same Thing Since 1991

Escape the Matrix (2020)

It’s been a long road, standing on the sidelines, shouting out the odds to awaken people from their sheeple state. He then had a series of shows on Apple TV that allowed him to get his message across.

His delivery here is quite calm compared to his ‘normal’ interview style. I prefer this teaching style.

Tariffs: Round Two

The Bully vs. the Boxer (Again)

On June 30, 2018, I wrote a slightly tongue-in-cheek post about Trudeau’s response to Trump’s attempted tariffs. At the time, the plan was supposed to bring Canada to the new NAFTA bargaining table, in a weakened position. It didn’t work then, and it won’t work now.

Trump’s chart has been updated to a more (or less) corrected birth time, so comparisons between he and Trudeau might have somewhat changed over the course of almost 7 years. Now, of course, I’ve added in the 25% tariff chart to show where the links are. This might be karmic for Trudeau as his Mars @ 29° Pisces is conjunct the Tariff’s North Node. And Trudeau’s Midheaven is opposite the Tariff’s Ascendant.

It is worth noting that this will be Trudeau’s last big fight on the world’s stage. Once the next Liberal leader is chosen, he will no longer be in the ring. That may be symbolized by the conjunction between the Tariff’s Pluto and Trudeau’s Venus. Trudeau’s weakness has always been the ladies.

But let’s remember that other countries are affected by Trump’s tariffs. There is a domino effect.

Stay tuned.

The Ecstasy and the Agony of a Renaissance Artist

Daniele da Volterra (Daniele Ricciarelli) (Italian, Volterra 1509–1566 Rome) Michelangelo Buonarroti (1475–1564), probably ca. 1544 Oil on wood; 34 3/4 x 25 1/4 in. (88.3 x 64.1 cm) The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, Gift of Clarence Dillon, 1977 (1977.384.1) http://www.metmuseum.org/Collections/search-the-collections/436771

Michelangelo (March 6, 1475 – February 18, 1564)

Michelangelo was moderate in his personal life, and once told his apprentice, Ascanio Condivi: “However rich I may have been, I have always lived like a poor man.” Michelangelo’s bank accounts and numerous deeds of purchase show that his net worth was about 50,000 gold ducats, more than many princes and dukes of his time. Condivi said he was indifferent to food and drink, eating “more out of necessity than of pleasure” and that he “often slept in his clothes and … boots.” His biographer Paolo Giovio says, “His nature was so rough and uncouth that his domestic habits were incredibly squalid, and deprived posterity of any pupils who might have followed him.” This, however, may not have affected him, as he was by nature a solitary and melancholy person, bizzarro e fantastico, a man who “withdrew himself from the company of men.”

Wikipedia

Looking at his birth chart, I can see why he lived his life so roughly: the Sun and Mars (conjunct) are both in opposition to Pluto. The Moon is situated at his age of two, probably when his mother got sick, as she died when he was six. But the two inconjuncts may explain the rest.

Venus Inconjunct Neptune

This aspect means that your attitudes about love and affection are very idealistic, as will become clearer later in life. Also it can be a sign of creative artistic ability if there are other indications of creativity in your chart. And, of course, you must begin the appropriate training while you are young.

While you are young, this attitude is likely to show up only as a feeling of unworthiness and shyness toward others, especially those who seem to like you. When you are older, you may have severe problems in love relationships, because you feel that you are only good enough for society’s losers, people who badly need help or have severe emotional problems, You must learn to take a clear, objective view of the people you are attracted to and to realize that you deserve a positive love relationship as much as the other person does, for you are as worthwhile as anyone.

Planets in Youth (pages 203-204) by Robert Hand (1977)

Mars Inconjunct Midheaven

This aspect can mean that you have mixed feelings about all authority figures, including your parents. You may feel that you have to violate the rules laid down by your parents in order to get your way. This is a significant problem, because if it continues into adulthood, you will have great difficulties with employers. Therefore it is very important that your parents teach you how to express your self-assertive drives without going against their teachings. Unfortunately it is impossible to state how that should be done, because the conflict between self-will, on one hand, and self-denial and work, on the other, is different for each person.

A-ha. The film and the novel it was based on were quite accurate, then:

“No Pain, No Gain”

Status Quo Bias

The United States of America is going through a massive reset. It’s painful to watch from a distance, but, if I’m being honest, it’s about bloody time. It’s a funny thing that the man making these changes believes that God saved him, so this work is divine. Well, he might be right.

But will he go far enough? His preferred style of government is dictatorship, since he cannot legally be King. Americans rejected royalty in 1776. Next year will be the 250th anniversary of that Declaration of Independence. When you think of past civilizations, like Greece and Rome, that’s a drop in the ocean.

Terrifying the World with Tariffs

25% Tariffs Begin (March 4, 2025)

The day has come, the mayhem has begun. Trump tried this method once before, to force Canada and Mexico to agree to a new NAFTA, only to back down when tariffs were reciprocated from those countries. While the signature ink was drying, Trump said that it was the best deal for the States.

After U.S. President Donald Trump took office in January 2017, he sought to replace NAFTA with a new agreement, beginning negotiations with Canada and Mexico. In September 2018, the United States, Mexico, and Canada reached an agreement to replace NAFTA with the United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement (USMCA), and all three countries had ratified it by March 2020. NAFTA remained in force until USMCA was implemented. In April 2020, Canada and Mexico notified the U.S. that they were ready to implement the agreement. The USMCA took effect on July 1, 2020, replacing NAFTA.

Wikipedia

So, no sooner does Trump get back into the White House, he decides that these two trading partners have been ‘stealing’ from America. To ‘punish’ them for that, he decided to slap a 25% tariff on all imported goods from them. That took effect at one minute past midnight today.

There is but one inconjunct, the rest are mainly sextiles and trines, with three squares and one opposition. Two of those squares form a T-square pointing at Jupiter, along with that opposition between the Sun and the Midheaven. The inconjunct explains the underlying reasons for Trump’s actions.

Venus Inconjunct Midheaven

You have a strong need to be loved and to love others as well, but this may create some problems in your life. You are afraid that if you appear to others as you really are, they won’t accept you.

You are likely to feel that there is a conflict between what you ought to do in a particular situation and what would be acceptable to the people around you. Later in life, you may see your job, career or profession as a part of your life that is quite separate from your personal relationships with loved ones. This may cause you to neglect one area in favor of the other, instead of trying to create a balance between them.

This same pattern of thinking may make you believe that you must sacrifice pleasure and enjoyment in order to achieve anything worthwhile in life. Here again you cannot afford to let either aspect of your life triumph over the other. Especially as you get older, you should make a conscious effort to find ways to enjoy yourself, be with your friends and loved ones and, at the same time, move toward your goals.

Planets in Youth (page 212) by Robert Hand (1977)

Trump’s intention is to reward his pals with tax cuts, in effect repaying them for their support. But the money has to come from somewhere. Tariffs look to be the instant solution. Unfortunately, the rest of the country will end up paying for those tax cuts by spending more for imported products. Of course, the upside is that manufacturing and production may increase to cover any shortfalls that occur for lack of materials like steel, aluminum and timber, but that will take years, and in the meantime, the financial markets will lose faith in his policies. They’re already beginning to see the “handwriting on the wall.”

The U.S. Constitution Will Be Hanging by a Thread

The White Horse Prophecy (May, 1843)

Because the written version of this took place about 60 years later, the White Horse Prophecy is considered to be fake news. However, the statement of the Constitution hanging by a thread seems real.

As prophecy, this purported Joseph Smith statement is an echo of Jesus’ words about the ‘end times’. Also, Revelation is referenced here, especially about the four horsemen of the Apocalypse.

Myth #6: The Mormons will save the Constitution. The Latter Day Saints would go to the Rocky Mountains and … be a great and mighty people , identified figuratively with the White Horse described in Revelation 19. The prophecy further predicts that the United States Constitution will one day hang like a thread and will be saved by the efforts of the White Horse The so-called White Horse Prophecy is based on accounts that have not been substantiated by historical research and is not embraced as Church doctrine. ( Church Statement on White Horse Prophecy and Political Neutrality , Public Affairs Department, LDS Church, August 25, 2011) Revelation 19:

Is that any different to the Crazy Horse prophecy?

This sounds more likely, and fits a spiritual truth about going within and realizing that we are all one.
