Are You Sitting Comfortably? Then I’ll Begin

Harvest Moon (October 6, 2025 @ 11:48 PM EDT)

Twelve hours before the Harvest Moon came to its fullest, I had our computer speakers completely stop working. Susan suggested our Bluetooth speaker as a substitute, for now. Fine, except that my computer doesn’t have Bluetooth on it. So, I did an internet search for a program to download. Big mistake.

The “suggested” site was a PC Upgrade Service (called PCHelpSoft.com) and for a fee I could get 11 program updates. Second mistake, buying into the idea. There was an online technician available, so I asked for help locating the Bluetooth application. Third mistake. “Oscar” did a linked exploration of my computer. Then offered an ongoing service to work on the computer for every month for three years. I hadn’t actually understood that when “Oscar” suggested a ‘Got Your Back’ Tech Service. At an exorbitant price. Of course, my credit card company flagged the transaction as a potential fraud. I let them know that the entry was from me, so they let the entry go through. Then, the internet went down!

Was I being protected by the Universe?

Who can say, for sure. I had to contact Bell to schedule a tech appointment for today. Everything’s sorted out, now. The credit card company has been notified that I’m disputing the two transactions. Of course, that means that the credit card had to be cancelled, with a new one being issued, to come by courier in about a week. All the downloaded programs have been deleted, and the tech company didn’t get my contact details, so they are SOL, happily on my part.

Take off, eh?

Remember This Point of Singularity from “Origin”?

“Alas, Poor Humanity, I Knew It Well” (Apologies to Shakespeare’s Hamlet)

When Dan Brown wrote “Origin” he was focusing on the future when Artificial Intelligence would blend with humanity and take it over. The present time has seen AI come on by leaps and bounds, to the point that an AI actress has become a controversial talking point.

What’s next: an AI politician running for President? Hmm.

Her Whole Character and Destiny were in Her Name

Jane Goodall (April 3, 1934 – October 1, 2025)

We watched the first episode of a new series on Netflix, called “Famous Last Words”. The premise of the program was to air a recording of famous people after they die. In this case, the timing couldn’t have been more apropos.

At the end of the program, Susan and I applauded what Dr. Goodall had said at the end. Her “Famous Last Words” were heartfelt and powerful.

The Moon on a Sagittarius Ascendant! In a nutshell, the essence of her journey through life. She said that her mother was supportive of all her endeavours, even while Jane was a toddler. The need to explore “The Dark Continent” (Africa) came to her early in life, and by 10 she knew what she wanted to do. Someone or something had been protecting her on her life’s journey.

Her greatest impact may be will be now, after her death at 91.

This is My 4600th Post: It Seems Appropriate, Somehow

The Magdalene Tower, Rennes-le-Chateau, France

Over time, I come back to themes and stories that I visited more than 40 years ago. Today, I want to look at the village priest who amassed a great deal of money in the late 19th century after supposedly finding a fortune in a lowly church in the midst of the Languedoc region of France.

François-Bérenger Saunière (April 11, 1852 – January 22, 1917)

It’s now a Cathar legend, and it may be connected to Mary Magdalene, but no one knows for sure.

Evidently, this birth time is considered reliable because his birth records quote it. But, most birth records are rounded up to the nearest hour, so take it with a grain of salt. Even so, Sauniere has an interesting double inconjunct: the Sun/Midheaven conjunction (nearly exact) to his Jupiter in Scorpio. Hmm.

Over time, I have come to conclusion that Sauniere sold indulgences to Roman Catholic believers. No actual treasure was ever really found. It’s a spiritual treasure, only. Having visited the church there, it is an extraordinary place. It also seems contradictory to perceived Truth. It feels Gnostic.

In other words, it’s my kind of place.

This is What a Depraved Killer Looks like Astrologically

Ed Gein (August 27, 1906 – July 26, 1984)

I could have subtitled this one, “How to Gein the World and Lose Your Soul”. This person’s story was the basis for the film, “Psycho”, way back in 1960. So, when I was going to look at Gein’s birth chart, I wondered if the Moon (Mother) and Pluto (the Underworld) would interact somehow significantly.

I wasn’t surprised when I saw the results. Both the Moon and Pluto are slightly below the horizon, but in opposition to each other and on the Ascendant/Descendant axis. There are NO inconjuncts. He is exactly as he appears, a Monster.

Just so that you know: I WON’T be watching this Netflix film. “Psycho” was enough for me when I was 10. This one looks too graphic for words to express. Watch at your own peril.

Trust a Dream to Say that I’m Like…

A Dog With A Bone

There’s a television ad that has three brothers say their names: the first two are insignificant; the third says, “I’m Ryan Reynolds” to laughter all around. No, not that one. These are the Reynolds .Brothers.

This YouTube video is two years old, before their more recent ad.

My reason for highlighting this commercial is the comment their father makes in the more recent one: he says “They’re like a dog with a bone and they won’t stop until the thing is done right.” That sequence came up several times in my dream last night.

Hmm.

Waiting for the Sale Proceeds is…

Like Waiting for Paint to Dry

Yesterday was a federal holiday, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Truth & Reconciliation report. The banks were closed. Today, the mortgage should be paid off, and the balance of the sale should be deposited into our chequing account. It’s noon, now, and nothing has landed yet. How tedious.

Sixteen Days Before the Sale of Our House Completed

Moving Day (September 29, 2025)

We moved out on September 13th. As ‘luck’ would have it, we were there when the new family moved in yesterday @ 4:45 pm. It was strange to witness that change. (Normally, we wouldn’t have been there, but Susan had a medical appointment in Midland, yesterday.)

This is our final selfie in the back garden. We have finally let it all go.

According to the charts, it was time…

Bless.

I’ve Retired from Producing Personal Birth Charts

(This Chart Illustration is Completely Made Up)

The time has come. I’m no longer offering to do any personal birth charts and analyses. The reason might seem insignificant, but it is sensible. I’m 75 now and because I haven’t been charging for charts in the last 10 years, I think it’s obvious that an individual looking to get a chart done can visit any number of online sites and get it for free. My focus from now on will be on ‘famous’ people and special events.

So, if you’ve been inspired to get your birth chart done, there are plenty of astrologers that will gladly accommodate you. My recommendation is Ellie Burck at Saturn Season. Blessings.
