The Wellspring: The Shell

the-wellspring

11 December 1991

There is a tendency, in the human framework, of hiding in density. In some ways, you could liken the snail to the human condition, confident with its home on its back. Crawling on the ground, it can conceal itself within its shell if threatened or unsure. This analogy can be seen when you feel overwhelmed in the way you perceive your life, withdrawing into density, fears, doubts, blockages, anything that acts as a protective shell, anything that prevents you from being who you are.

You have all travelled so far, and achieved so much, but the human condition of doubt continues to beset you and creates a withdrawal and a fear of going forward. There is an apprehension of allowing that shell to go, being easier to withdraw and retreat into the shell than to feel vulnerable and exposed, open to any possible predator, afraid to show yourself.

In order to conquer these fears and transcend into your true spiritual being, there must come a time when you are prepared to dispense with that shell, as a place of retreat, and to be vulnerable and exposed. All the theories, all the prophesies, and all the understandings in the world do not dispel the illusion of doubt, all the while you hold onto it. You know it all in theory, but there is a resistance within your being to accept it as ‘all truth’.

Recognise the struggle there is, for humanity to rise above the conditioning of the human mind. In order to transcend and to ascend to your spirituality, once and for all, you will have to leave your protective shell and feel naked in the world. Nobody can make you do this. All the theorising in the world will not make you.

It is a voluntary surrender that will eventually enable you to make that final breakthrough. Only you can decide. Only you have the control of it. Only you can find that truth within yourselves.

My Satanic Struggle (screenplay)

Vancouver-Courthouse

Vancouver Courthouse – 222 Main Street

Overview

It might seem self-fulfilling, but I wrote a screenplay in 1978 that was supposed to be projected into the future (1996). I had to wait another 20 years for some of the more outlandish ideas to actually occur. Some of the other ideas are partially correct, or perhaps misinterpreted by me (after all, the internet was a long way off at that time). Here is a list of a few of them.

Psyche-Scan

The police in the opening scene view a tape of the protagonist’s thoughts on a television monitor. It was recorded during a random psyche-scan. The thoughts are recorded as images. Doesn’t that sound a lot like digital surveillance? And these days, people create YouTube videos to share their thoughts with others. I think this one is a near-hit.

Digital Implants

barcode implants

The protagonist, Thomas Benjamin, has a discussion with Joe, a seeming outcast from the ‘System’. Joe shows him that he has a digital implant in his right hand. This means Joe could have been in the ‘System’ if he had so chosen. He just prefers to sleep under the stars. This is a direct hit, in my opinion.

Community

While I lived in England, I watched the UK enter the European Union gradually over time. That sense of the inevitable stayed with me, until Brexit this spring. We were in Ireland on the day of the referendum, and it was fascinating to see the ‘common man’ take control again. The same could be said for electing Donald Trump as the new US President. When I created the concept of COMMUNITY, I combined Communism with Unity. The world really has moved on since then, but the rich want a World Government so that they can control the masses. This is a near-miss, I think.

ITS CLAWS

Using the poem My Satanic Struggle I thought of the idea of encoding a hidden clue in the words. Utilizing the rhyme scheme, I concocted a ‘message’ which only made sense if I changed some of the letters. the substituted letters formed a phrase by themselves. The poem was written long before this screenplay, so it was completely random. However, I then decided to name the feminist resistance group this phrase. The recent events have reminded us all that sexual harassment and suppression are still rampant. The feelings that have been stirred up are as sharp as ever. This is a hit.

Henry Evergreen

The story needed a nasty antagonist, so I created one: Henry Evergreen is the head of Community. He is an egomaniac who is not above tackling dissidents directly. In the end, he tortures and kills Thomas Benjamin. Other than Adolph Hitler, I cannot think of anyone who could even come close to the megalomania that it would take to be like Evergreen, until now. The United States now has a new President that could rival this character. This is a direct-hit that I didn’t think could or would really happen.

Conclusion

When I wrote this screenplay, it was science fiction. Now it’s a reality. When it was shared with some agents in Hollywood, I was considered either crazy, or way ahead of the times. Funny how the times have caught up.

Jacqui’s Sonnet

Today, after being reminded in my dreams that she must still be around, I found Jacqui on the internet. https://twitter.com/jbwritergirl Here is a poem I wrote to her in 1978.

Jacqui’s Sonnet

You came to visit us yesterday

Not realizing fully what God’s schemes

Involved; and never in your wildest dreams

Did you imagine what you’d come to say.

Susan said you two’d never found a way

To discuss anything but younger themes

Of boys, cars, clothes, and ev’rything that seems

Important to girls in the month of May.

But now I want to make you understand

I know there’s more to you than meets the eye:

More than beautiful hair or winsome tooth.

You’ve been sent back to lend a helping hand

To those who cannot see that they must die

Again to learn the Universal Truth.

Soundtrack of My Spiritual Life

Here is the alternative version…

Birth

My mother loved me so much, I feel that she could have sung this song to me at birth (even though it wasn’t published by Bliss until 2006): “Starchild”.

Back in the Day

Gordon Lightfoot has been a part of my life, ever since I first heard him in concert in the 60’s. As a Canadian, “Song for a Winter’s Night” speaks to my soul.

Fight

“Child in Time” by Deep Purple epitomizes what I can imagine my father would have told me, if he’d been a part of my life.

Love

When Madonna’s video was first shown (1989), I was going through some very strong spiritual changes. Even now, “Like a Prayer” speaks for me.

Guilty Pleasure

I have so many guilty pleasures when it comes to music, I had difficulty in narrowing it down to one choice. Because Fleetwood Mac music took up so many of the intervening years, I decided to pick a Lindsey Buckingham composition: “Go Insane”.

Death

The Beatles figured strongly “In My Life”, so I think it fitting to make this my death video…

Soundtrack of My Life

This is in response to a challenge on Facebook by my daughter Rosanna.

Birth

When I was a young lad, my mother used to sing this song all the time. When I saw Doris Day sing it in the movie “The Man Who Knew Too Much”, I thought she was my mom. That feeling stuck with me for years. What I like about “Que Sera Sera” is that it is good advice: what will be, will be.

Back in the Day

My very first 45 rpm record was this one by Ferrante and Teicher. I was crazy about movies, and “Lawrence of Arabia” really touched something in me. Over the years, I have collected a lot of music from the movies, and will probably do so for my whole life.

Fight

I could have chosen any number of good songs for this one, including the Rolling Stones’ “Get Off My Cloud” and Deep Purple’s “Child in Time”. Instead, I’m going back to a time in my teens when my frustrations about relationships boiled over a couple of times. The Ugly Ducklings were a Canadian group based in Toronto. “Baby, you’re what I need: Nothin’!”

Love

Again, I could have chosen from a plethora of songs, especially from my teens, but this one is special because it encapsulated my “Summer (The First Time)”. Bobby Goldsboro is not my favourite singer, but I love this song.

Guilty Pleasure

Who could ever have guessed that classical music would figure in my life? I went to see Virgil Fox play at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver in the late 70’s. When he played the “Toccata and Fugue in D minor” (by J.S. Bach), I was blown away. My Miller cousins will know where this interest comes from.

Death

It would be interesting to have this set of songs played at my funeral. Originally written by John and (mostly) Paul (of The Beatles), this version by Phil Collins takes the drum solo to new heights. “Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End” was the fitting end of the Beatles, and my hope is that those that are left behind will take comfort in the words.

Too Many Years (song)

Too Many Years

(We used to be able to hear the song by clicking on the link embedded in the title, but not anymore.)

I’m waiting at the station for the Sudbury bus

To see my real dad, years ago:

He answered my letter to meet this one time

And there’s so much I need to know.

But he hung up the phone before I could ask,

And now we will meet in this place:

He’s been dead to me for all this time,

I can hardly picture his face.

Will I recognize him, will he remember me?

Or will we be strangers this day?

Is it too many years, or too many fears?

I wish he had not gone away.

Years later, I’m flying to visit my long lost son,

He’s just had a boy of his own:

He answered my letter to meet this one time

There’s so much he needs to know.

Can he forgive my absence for all these years?

Will we even know what we should be?

Can anyone be sure that this hurt can be healed?

I’ve done to him what’s been done to me.

Will I recognize him, will he remember me?

Or will we be strangers this day?

Is it too many years, or too many fears?

And I wish I had not gone away.

There’s got to be more to this than naming,

More than moments stolen in time;

Somewhere there’s no need for this explaining,

Where I can be myself, a place that’s really mine.

I’d been trying for years to find them

With hours of research, online,

There’s only one thread which brought me in touch

With cousins I hoped would be mine.

I met him in London for the first time

And he set up this visit for me:

To meet my father’s family all at once

And for them the prodigal to meet.

Will I recognize them, do they know about me?

Or will we be strangers this day?

It was too many years, or too many fears:

This time I won’t go away.

The Ascension Mysteries

Did you get that number?

the-ascension-mysteries

At the end of August of this year, David Wilcock published his long-awaited book, The Ascension Mysteries: revealing the cosmic battle between good and evil. I’ve been interested in his work ever since I confirmed that he was the reincarnation of Edgar Cayce.

What makes this book so delicious is that little ‘clues’ show up in his work that others have hinted at, or discussed previously, but have never been adequately proven. Let me give you an example:

The first three digits of any stargate address are single numbers between 1 and 9. The next three sets of digits are between 1 and 99. The final set of digits will be between 1 and 999. Almost any number you dial, except perhaps for the highest numbers in the final three-digit set, will take you to an inhabited world. If you are traveling locally, a three-digit number will suffice. The local gate address for Mars is 605, and Earth is 606, so keep that in mind if you ever get lost. Some of the higher three-digit numbers do not have planets assigned to them in our local area. Once the people on a given planet ascend, their number is reassigned to new planets. Now that enough time has passed and no other insiders have come forward with this information, I will finally reveal our entire gate address after all these years, according to Daniel’s testimony. It is 7.5.3.84.70.24.606.

Wilcock, David. The Ascension Mysteries: Revealing the Cosmic Battle Between Good and Evil (p. 310). Penguin Publishing Group. Kindle Edition.

By itself, this tidbit would be of interest only to Internet techs, as it demonstrates the string address concept that the World Wide Web adopted in the early 1990’s. But for me, it rang a bell.

The 12th Planet

the-12th-planet

Normally, we think of the planets as counting out from the Sun. That’s why we refer to Earth as ‘third rock from the Sun’. But visiting starships wouldn’t start the count at the Sun, they would start at the outer planet.

No one but the Nefilim, traveling to Earth past Pluto, Neptune, Uranus, Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars, could have considered Earth “the seventh.” Even if, for the sake of argument, one assumed that the inhabitants of ancient Mesopotamia, rather than travelers from space, had the knowledge or wisdom to count Earth’s position not from the central Sun but from the solar system’s edge, then it would follow that the ancient peoples knew of the existence of Pluto and Neptune and Uranus. Since they could not have known of these outermost planets on their own, the information must, we conclude, have been imparted to them by the Nefilim.

Whichever assumption is adopted as a starting point, the conclusion is the same: Only the Nefilim could have known that there are planets beyond Saturn, as a consequence of which Earth— counting from the outside— is the seventh.

Earth is not the only planet whose numerical position in the solar system was represented symbolically. Ample evidence shows that Venus was depicted as an eight-pointed star: Venus is the eighth planet, following Earth, when counted from the outside. The eight-pointed star also stood for the goddess Ishtar, whose planet was Venus.

Many cylinder seals and other graphic relics depict Mars as the sixth planet. A cylinder seal shows the god associated with Mars (originally Nergal, then Nabu), seated on a throne under a six-pointed “star” as his symbol. Other symbols on the seal show the Sun, much in the same manner we would depict it today; the Moon; and the cross, symbol of the “Planet of Crossing,” the Twelfth Planet.

In Assyrian times, the “celestial count” of a god’s planet was often indicated by the appropriate number of star symbols placed alongside the god’s throne. Thus, a plaque depicting the god Ninurta placed four star symbols at his throne. His planet Saturn is indeed the fourth planet, as counted by the Nefilim. Similar depictions have been found for most of the other planets.

Sitchin, Zecharia. The 12th Planet (Book I): The First Book of the Earth Chronicles (Kindle Locations 4411-4426). Inner Traditions/Bear & Company. Kindle Edition

What does it all mean?

In my opinion, this proves that we have indeed been visited by ‘others’ since the beginning of time. The key seems to be the first digit of the number system: 1 through 9. We are on planet 7. The ‘gate sequence’ starts with 7. QED.

Golden Gates

Golden Gates

The story goes, “In days of old, a Man

Held this to be self-evident: do not

Reveal what’s told to you, until you can

Examine its intent; the way is fraught,

Each step, a chance to undertake a test —

Go thoughtfully through three pure Gates of Gold:

One asks, ‘Is it true?’ Two asks, ‘Is it Best?’

Lastly, ‘Is it Kind?’ If not, put on hold.”

Do not impart what could be quite untrue —

Go carefully, for traps are set to bind

A man whose tongue is loose — and debts accrue

To him whose words, unneeded, are unkind.

Each time temptation lures your wayward voice,

Stand at these Golden Gates, and make your choice.

The Key to the Wine Cellar

Wine Cellar

The mysterious bouquet

Of past vintage years

Has an allure so strong

That the prohibition

Could cause more harm

Than the intoxication.

Please give me just a sip

And I shall be content

Knowing that it is no longer

Forbidden.

Please let me share a drop

Of whatever lies behind

The locked door.

Please let me into your secret heart.

Noises

Eek!

I went to bed sometime last night,

But early this morning I woke with a fright,

For I could hear as plainly as light is day

A mouse, in a corner, begin to say:

“I love to make noises and scurry about,

Such noises as a squawk and a squeak,

To make the menfolk get their guns out,

And, in turn, make the women weak.

“But my day is never done

Until, by gosh, I’ve had some fun,

And most of my fun hits its height

When I make noises throughout the night.”

It’s hard to believe that a mouse would say

Such things as these, but in every way,

It’s very possible for a mouse

To say anything in my house.

(my very first poem, written in 1964 and published in our high school yearbook)
