Not Surprisingly, She was Celine Dion’s Inspiration

Maria Callas (December 2/3, 1923 – September 16, 1977)

There is a certain irony that comes from watching a gut-wrenching documentary like I Am Celine Dion. The irony is that you discover that her inspiration was Maria Callas. Well, in the grand scheme of things that shouldn’t really be a surprise, but it caught me off-guard. The internal irony is that Celine is now experiencing what Maria did in the final years of her life: the inability to continue singing like she did when she was younger.

Initially, I was going to compare their birth charts, but then abandoned the idea when there are conflicting details of her actual birth date, and her birth time is unknown. (Most astrology sites list it as December 3 @ 6 AM, but Wikipedia states that her birth date as December 2.) And, again, I’m faced with the possibility that Celine might be Maria reborn, but nine years before Maria died. This has happened before, in my experience, but it makes it kind of messy when I’m trying to astrologically ‘prove’ the fact.

Allow, instead, a couple of images to show you the similarities.

Pictures while young:

.

And their autographs:

.

In truth, they are not the same person, in two separate bodies, but they seem to have the same animating spirit, with a difference: one hated being made to be a singer from childhood; the other wanted to be on stage from an early age. Perhaps the difference is down to having a normal upbringing, or not.

Hmm.

On This Day in History, a Disaster Happened in London

The Globe Theatre Burns Down (June 29, 1613)

We know from subsequent history that after this event happened, William Shakespeare retired to Stratford to live his life in quiet solitude until he died suddenly three years later. So, this event is significant to his life’s story.

By now, we are used to looking for the reasons for some events. In this case, I would suggest that the Mars/Midheaven conjunction indicates an accident. The several conjunctions between other planets also seem to suggest that it was a timely event, intending to bring to an end Shakespeare’s prolific work ethic. There are three inconjuncts, two of which point to that Mars/Midheaven conjunction from the planet Saturn, and one connecting the Moon and the Scorpio Ascendant. In other words, the timing has to be exact for all these inconjuncts to happen at the same time, or else there’s only Mars inconjunct Saturn. All is True.

When the Globe event chart is compared to Shakespeare’s birth chart, two indicators appear: Shakespeare’s natal Saturn is conjunct the Globe’s Part of Fortune, and Shakespeare’s natal Jupiter is conjunct the Globe’s Mars. Yes, this was the Universe’s way of saying to Shakespeare to hang up his quilled pen for good.

Hmm.

It was Definitely a “Light Bulb” Moment for Me

Some ideas just hang about the air for quite awhile before they strike you like a lightning bolt from the blue. I had one of those moments yesterday afternoon as I sat on our backyard deck.

You see, we have a series of lights strung around the inside of our gazebo. At the moment, they are unplugged. Normally, they would be plugged into the extension cord that is plugged into a off/on switch which is itself plugged into an outdoor electrical socket. Are you following me, so far?

Electricity doesn’t flow into the lights until they are plugged in and then the switch is turned on. That was my ‘a-ha’ moment. Humans have a series of ‘lights’ known as chakras. Most of the time, they are in the off position. The plug is the base “Root” chakra. When it is turned on, intentionally, Kundalini energy flows up the spine and lights all the other chakras on the way. However, there is a cutoff (breaker) point at the Heart chakra. If the individual is not balanced enough to allow the further channeling of this energy, it will shut down the whole process.

It’s like a failsafe death switch.

Amen.

Somebody Should have Consulted an Astrologer First

CNN Presidential Debate (June 27, 2024)

Train wreck? That’s putting it mildly. Four hours before the event, I did this chart:

Initially, my eye was drawn to Mercury’s position in the event chart: it is conjunct Trump’s Venus/Saturn conjunction, and conjunct Biden’s Jupiter. OK, I said to myself, Trump has to endure some restriction on his usual tactics. Biden will have more opportunity to be expansive in his discussions. Then I looked at the Sun in the event chart: oops, it is conjunct to Trump’s Mercury. “Houston, we have a problem.”

Pluto in the event chart is beginning to come into opposition with both men’s natal positions of Pluto. At the moment Pluto in the event chart is retrograde, so the full effects are not visible. But when it goes direct, it’ll be affecting Biden before it affects Trump, so that doesn’t bode well for the country.

He Remembers What Others Can Only Imagine

Terrence Howard (March 11, 1969)

My daughter, Amy, sent me a YouTube video link to a Joe Rogan Experience program, that Terrence participated in. Hmm. Here’s a review of what he suggested, there.

So, are there any hints in his birth chart for this (supposedly) bizarre behaviour? Well, yes.

His birth time is unknown. I had two obvious markers that could have rectified his chart accurately. His father’s abuse at a young age (Saturn) was one; the other was his first marriage at age 24 (Venus). I chose the latter. That allowed me to see that his Jupiter/Uranus conjunction in the 12th House (of the Unconscious) is a likely culprit for his megalomania. Those two planets are exactly conjunct.

Jupiter Conjunct Uranus

Probably you are quite inventive, and you are often the first to see all the possibilities in a new situation. You may invent gadgets and games, or you may organize an entirely new activity for all your friends to get involved in. And you don’t mind going off in a new direction by yourself if no one else wants to follow you. You can be quite independent of other people’s opinions if you are doing what you want.

At the same time you are quite willing to let others do what they want, as long as they do not try to control you. In fact, as you get older, you will be unusually tolerant of points of view that are different from your own. According to your liberal temperament, everyone should be allowed to be themselves.

Planets in Youth (page 264) by Robert Hand (1977)

Normally, I would also list the inconjuncts, but I suspect we have learned enough with the above-noted conjunction. Just a word of explanation, though: I myself experienced being in the womb before I was born, but I had to experience it spontaneously while under hypnotic regression.

Just a Small Town Girl from Hicksville, USA

Theresa Caputo (June 10, 1967)

Along with other psychics and mediums I have featured on these pages, I have finally decided to look at Theresa Caputo. Her “Long Island Medium” TV program was popular in our household. Now she has an updated version, minus her husband, called “Raising Spirits”. Her detractors call her a ‘performer’. Hmm.

A-ha! Neptune in Scorpio, conjunct the Ascendant is the actress vibe. But the fact that it’s in Scorpio, adds a hidden element that others cannot perceive. She’s the ‘real deal’, but her processes look messy.

Sun Inconjunct Neptune

You are very sensitive to your environment and to the people around you. On one level of your being, you feel what is going on very acutely. Unfortunately your understanding often comes in terms that are very difficult to communicate to others, because their meaning is not clear in your own mind. Your greatest danger is in being exposed to negative people who are full of anger or depression or who act very harshly toward you and undermine your self-confidence. Your self-confidence has to be boosted at every conceivable opportunity, and it would be very destructive for you to be criticized sharply, unless the person has made it very clear that he or she loves you.

Planets in Youth (page 92) by Robert Hand (1977)

Sun Inconjunct Ascendant

You may find that no matter how hard you try to show others who you really are, they misunderstand you somehow. This is because the angular relationship between your rising sign and Sun sign indicates that your internal energies are quite different from the energies that you show to the world. You are not intentionally dishonest with the world, you simply present a confusing complex of energies.

Ibid (page 97)

Neptune Conjunct Ascendant

Very often when people with this aspect get in touch with their real feelings, they make the astonishing discovery that they can project themselves to others in many ways, as if they have different personalities for different people and situations. You may or may not be a professional actor, but you will probably do quite a bit of acting in your everyday life. Just try to avoid getting a reputation for being deceptive and untrustworthy. At your core you have to be honest with others, even if you enjoy seeming mysterious and elusive.

See what I mean?

The Universe Always Wins

Last September 3rd, I fell out of bed, while evading something sinister in my dream, cutting my eyebrow. After a couple of days, this black eye appeared. A week or so later, Ellie Dreams Down Under invited me to appear on her YouTube channel later in the month to discuss the events surrounding my unexpected betting win on the Grand National steeplechase horse race in 2007 in the UK.

I’m a bit vain about my looks, so to be sporting a shiner was obviously going to be problematic, if I was going to be on YouTube as Ellie’s guest. After a couple of back-and-forth emails, discussing what else we could talk about, she cancelled our session completely, choosing a different guest to discuss the Akashic Records and their impact of our everyday lives.

In response to the cancellation, I wrote: “The Universe Always Wins.”

Postscript: Here is a photo of my father with a very similar shiner (circa 1965?)

Managing Expectations

Would you believe that this post came to me in the night, after going to bed without knowing the results of game 7 of the Stanley Cup playoffs between the Edmonton Oilers and the Florida Panthers in the NHL? As I was waking up, I decided that the Oilers would have lost the game and the series by a single goal. That turned out to be true: the Panthers won the game with a score of 2-1 over the Oilers.

Trump (and his crony, Roger Stone) are going through a similar exercise during this year’s Presidential election. They’re hoping to win, but just in case, they are setting in place another “Stop the Steal” campaign, this time involving some federal judges (and an obvious majority of Supreme Court justices).

I know that everyone makes plans, hopes for the best, and then amends their plans to take into account bumps along the way, but to set out from the very beginning with a plan B shows that they know they’re screwed. It seems everything hinges on Trump getting back into the White House. Otherwise, they’ve failed.

I wonder what the Universe is planning, if anything.

Some Questions Concerning NDEs

1. Why are Individuals Greeted by Symbolic Messengers?

I write ‘symbolic messengers’ because each person has their own expected person or being that is acceptable to their approaching them. In one instance, that being was his dog, Max. Most of the time, the figure is God, Jesus, an angel or a predeceased relative. One woman sat on a bench with her grandfather, but she sensed that she wasn’t supposed to look at him.

2. How does the Greeter Know the Person’s Nickname?

Now, this question presupposes that everything about a person is known when they ‘cross over’ to the ‘other side of life’. But one man, identifying himself as Jackson Jax, met the angelic being, Gabriel, who called him Jax. Hmm. That implies that the silent communications between them taps into the individual’s mind, and uses what would be ‘familiar’ with that person.

3. Why are These People Sent Back to Complete Their Lives?

Most Near-Death Experiencers would prefer to stay in the ‘heavenly realms’. The ones that come back are told that they must return. It is not as if they are in control of their own lives. That’s why we may be individual programs in a group simulation, somewhat like the participants in the film, Tron.

4. Do they Visit an Intermediary Space?

The image of a ‘Garden of Eden’ location is an almost Universal meme when it comes to what the NDE-ers experience when they arrive at their way (weigh) station. Several films describing the afterlife have referenced a more stylized version of: an airport waiting room (“Stairway to Heaven”); or a bus terminal (“Defending Your Life”). But a beautiful garden somewhere outside of time has a greater calming effect.

5. What Happens when the Individual Doesn’t Believe in Heaven?

Several thoughts occur about this: in the first place, they hae no expectations of an Afterlife. Eben Alexander found himself buried in the earth, like a worm. Only later, was he allowed to see God and hear the Heavenly Choir of Angels. It would never occur to a child that there was anything to doubt, ask Colton Burpo.

6. Are Their Lives Changed Forever?

I would say so. Two examples should suffice for this idea: Hamish Miller and Anita Moorjani.

Have you had a near-death experience? If so, add a comment below to share some of your story, please.
