This May Prove to be an Uphill Battle for President

Nikki Haley (January 20, 1972)

Nikki Haley is in the running to be the Republican nominee for President in 2024. Has she a hope in hell?

Her birth time is unknown, so I set Mars @ age 26, when she married her husband. That set an interesting echo: she has Pluto in the 12th House (of the Unconscious) in an aspect to the Ascendant which is similar to Trump’s. Hmm. It is also opposite to the Moon. Meanwhile that position of Mars is opposite Uranus in the 1st House of personality. Maybe she does have what it takes to fight and win the nomination, in spite of being a woman of South Asian heritage. Wouldn’t it be interesting if she ran against Kamala Harris as the nominee for the Democrats? Hmm, again. There is one inconjunct.

Jupiter Inconjunct Saturn

This aspect may signify great restlessness and unease, so that it is difficult for you to achieve a state of balance or feel calm and at ease. Often you have contradictory impulses; you want to plunge ahead into some relatively risky activity, but you are held back by feelings of caution or inhibition. It is often difficult to decide whether you want to act on your own or in a situation that is very structured and regulated.

You have mixed feelings about authority as well. On one hand you respect and admire your parents, teachers and other adults who guide your growth, but at the same time you resist their teachings. At time you resent these people very much, because they seem to limit you so.

The best solution is to learn how to discipline yourself and structure your activities so that you do not have to contend with regulation by others. Then you will discover that your problems with authority come from within, not from the people who are trying to give you discipline and self-control from without. Perhaps the best way to handle this problem in your life is to make a reasonable evaluation of any situation, make up your mind rather quickly and stick to it until you have completed the activity.

Amen.

Did Lizzie Actually Axe-Murder Her Parents?

Lizzie Borden (July 19, 1862 – June 1, 1927)

I’d like to thank Ellie Adams and Brandy Burrow for their insightful (and inciteful) Forensic Astrology YouTube video.

There’s a kind of vacant look in this portrait of Lizzie Borden from 1889. That is not meant to impugn her reputation, but it does make me wonder what’s going on behind those eyes. Was murder on her mind?

This time of birth is considered good. Unfortunately, my computer program had a different time (with a ‘conflicting info’ warning). I’m going with the online astrology websites timing, instead. There are a number of inconjuncts, of which only two format into a Yod, with one part of that Yod time-defined.

Sun Inconjunct Midheaven

This aspect can mean some tension with one of your parents, although it is not likely to be serious or destructive. In fact it may play a very positive role later on by forcing you to confront certain issues that you would otherwise have ignored. However, while you are young, you may resent this parent quite a bit. Do not take this too seriously, unless some other area of your chart indicates a more negative relationship.

Moon Inconjunct Ascendant

This aspect ties together in you a Moon sign and a rising sign that are very different. This indicates that the image you project to other people does not reveal very much about your real feelings. When you are upset, you surprise people by showing a totally different side of your personality.

Mercury Inconjunct Ascendant (one half Yod)

This aspect can be a sign of nervousness, so it will help to keep every part of your life in order, because change and confusion will make you feel even more nervous and scattered. Some persons with this aspect want to have everything organized and are upset by disorder because they intuitively understand that disorder is bad for them. Even if you are not aware of this, it is true for you too.

Mercury Inconjunct Mars (other half Yod)

You often find it difficult to separate yourself from what you believe. You fight very hard for your ideas, even when you suspect you are wrong. You must learn that you are not your ideas, that you have them but are not them. If you do not learn this, it will be difficult even to have a friendly talk with friends, because you are always trying to make a point, defend your opinion or prove someone else wrong. This also makes you irritable and touchy, so that others prefer not to be around you. Of course, you should not give in about something you seriously believe in, but it is unlikely that you would make that mistake.

Venus Inconjunct Midheaven

You have a strong need to be loved and to love others as well, but this may create some problems in your life. You are afraid that if you appear to others as you really are, they won’t accept you. This problem can be corrected only by the most careful upbringing, such that your parents correct your behavior in ways that help you feel self-confident rather than undeserving and unworthy.

Mars Inconjunct Saturn

This can be a difficult aspect because it signifies a conflict between your sense of responsibility and your desire to fulfill your own needs and do what you want. This leads to a struggle within you that may keep you from acting decisively. Instead of deciding what you will do, you feel caught between these two forces, wondering whether you have the right to do what you want. You may feel that others are trying to frustrate you, but it is only your own indecisiveness that is causing the trouble. Sometimes this conflict makes you very irritable and resentful about nothing in particular. Then, when someone happens to act in a way that is obviously annoying, you focus all your built-up anger on that person.

(There’s a broad series of hints in these aspects that let us know that any violent reaction she had was spontaneous and unpremeditated.)

The Axe Murders of Her Parents (August 4, 1892)

The case was memorialized in a popular skipping-rope rhyme, sung to the tune of the then-popular song “Ta-ra-ra Boom-de-ay.”

Lizzie Borden took an axe
and gave her mother forty whacks.
When she saw what she had done,
she gave her father forty-one.

Folklore says that the rhyme was made up by an anonymous writer as a tune to sell newspapers. Others attribute it to the ubiquitous, but anonymous, “Mother Goose”.

In reality, Lizzie’s stepmother suffered eighteen or 19 blows; her father suffered eleven blows.

The rhyme has a less well-known second verse:

Andrew Borden now is dead,
Lizzie hit him on the head.
Up in heaven he will sing,
on the gallows she will swing.

Folk Rhyme (from Wikipedia)

There are two inconjuncts, neither of which are dependent on a correct time of day.

Venus Inconjunct Mars

You must learn to control your emotions to some extent, so that your feelings do not prevent you from getting along with others. It is difficult to react to someone without emotions, for you tend to either love or hate people quite intensely. Your feelings are often mixed, even toward your friends. One moment you love your friend, and the next moment you hate him or her. Any little problems can set off your anger against someone, but you usually cool off quickly also. Your close relationships will be a bit stormier than most, but this should not be a serious problem in later life. In fact you probably prefer stormy relationships, because it means that you are really involved with the other person.

Jupiter Inconjunct Saturn

This aspect may signify great restlessness and unease, so that it is difficult for you to achieve a state of balance or feel calm and at ease. Often you have contradictory impulses; you want to plunge ahead into some relatively risky activity, but you are held back by feelings of caution or inhabitation. It is often difficult to decode whether you want to act on your own or in a situation that is very structured and regulated. If you situation is too structured, you will feel closed in and repressed; you will want to break free and go off by yourself and do things your way. But when you get that freedom, you feel rather lost and at loose ends, and you find it difficult to set your own pace.

There’s only one double transit that absolutely connects this event to Lizzie:

Neptune/Pluto Conjunct Uranus @ 10° Gemini (a fortunate* degree).

*Lizzie and her sister, Emma, inherited their father’s fortune after his untimely death.

Forensic science in those days was lacking. Borden was acquitted. Was that the right verdict?

In my humble opinion, she suddenly lost her temper and killed them both.

A Labour Protest in Chicago Went Off with a Bang

The Haymarket Protest (May 4, 1886)

Normally, I wouldn’t pay attention to something like this event, except that the explosive nature of the protest marks it out as being something significant. Because we know when the crowd was at its largest, we have a time to erect an accurate chart.

The first thing to notice is the fact that Pluto is on the Descendant. The Moon and Neptune are also conjunct Pluto. This makes the whole situation ‘explosive’. The catalyst is the police involvement, as exemplified by Saturn inconjunct the Ascendant.

Saturn Inconjunct Ascendant

With this aspect you probably have a rather serious attitude toward life and other people. It may be quite difficult for you to simply go out and have a good time. You want to be serious and to spend all your time performing significant tasks. This attitude may have developed because you were discouraged from enjoying yourself when you were younger. You may have been made to feel that only work is important, that play serves no useful purpose.

You need to be encouraged to believe in yourself and to recognize your personal strength. You have to be helped to realize that you as an individual (and as a group) are worth a lot and that you need to get some satisfaction from life as much as the next person does.

And Now for Something Completely Frivolous…

Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862) and Ellen DeGeneres (Jan 26, 1958)

I used to scoff at these photos of doppelgangers. But, no longer. In truth, these two couldn’t be more dissimilar in other ways, but their looks seem identical. That’s a sign of reincarnation.

Thoreau had a distinctive appearance, with a nose that he called his “most prominent feature”. Of his appearance and disposition, Ellery Channing wrote:

His face, once seen, could not be forgotten. The features were quite marked: the nose aquiline or very Roman, like one of the portraits of Caesar (more like a beak, as was said); large overhanging brows above the deepest set blue eyes that could be seen, in certain lights, and in others gray,—eyes expressive of all shades of feeling, but never weak or near-sighted; the forehead not unusually broad or high, full of concentrated energy and purpose; the mouth with prominent lips, pursed up with meaning and thought when silent, and giving out when open with the most varied and unusual instructive sayings.

Walter Harding – The Days of Henry David Thoreau
Wikipedia

Henry David Thoreau‘s birth chart is completely randomized. The resulting Yod must be taken with a pinch of salt, but it is intriguing, is it not? The other inconjuncts are not time-dependent, so they may be the true measure of the man.

Sun Inconjunct Neptune

You are very sensitive to your environment and to the people around you. On one level of your being, you feel what is going on very acutely. Unfortunately your understanding often comes in terms that are very difficult to communicate to others, because their meaning is not clear in your own mind.

Moon Inconjunct Jupiter

This aspect indicates that you have a positive, optimistic outlook on life, and you enjoy socializing with good friends. However, there are some dangers with this aspect. First, it can be a sign that you are self-indulgent and possibly even selfish, although this is not likely to happen if you have a good, strong relationship with your mother. However, if you feel emotionally secure and accepted, you will be able to give others the support that you would otherwise have been seeking for yourself.

Mercury Inconjunct Jupiter

You like to think big, and you have great ambitions, but you don’t always make sure that your thinking is clear or careful. Don’t try to take on more than you can handle and make sure not to overlook details, for that could hurt what you are trying to do.

Moon Conjunct Mercury

How well you think depends very much upon your feelings. If you are at all emotionally involved in a situation, as you often are, you can’t think about it clearly.

His death chart has been set for noon on the day he passed. As you can see, those inconjuncts have been totally conquered, and his passing was (supposedly) very peaceful.

Aware he was dying, Thoreau’s last words were “Now comes good sailing”, followed by two lone words, “moose” and “Indian”.

Wikipedia

Hmm.

But to Return as Ellen DeGeneres: What’s that About?

Ellen DeGeneres needs no introduction. To say she is a gender rule breaker and social icon is to underestimate her impact on modern womanhood in the United States. But, a philosopher? Not so much. Her birth chart contains but one inconjunct:

Uranus Inconjunct Ascendant

Your need for freedom may interfere with your close relationships. When you are with others, even those you like, you feel very restless but you can’t get up and leave because you want to be with them. This is typical of the ambiguity that comes with this transit. Certainly, the more others try to restrict your freedom of movement, the more you try to get away.

So, Let’s Look at These Two Individuals over Time

At first glance, I thought that there were no clear indications of a past life connection, and then I looked again, more closely, especially of the North and South Nodes.

Ellen’s Mars/Saturn conjunction (in her 10th House of Career) is conjunct Thoreau’s ‘fatal’ Saturn and his natal Neptune. (Oh-ho, says I, to myself). At the other side of the divide (meaning in opposition to Ellen’s Mars/Saturn conjunction) sits Thoreau’s Moon/Mercury conjunction (and his ‘fatal’ South Node).

So, then I looked at Ellen’s natal South Node, and wouldn’t you know it, it is conjunct Thoreau’s ‘fatal’ Pluto and his natal Mars. Even Ellen’s Part of Fortune gets in on the act by being conjunct to Thoreau’s natal North Node. And, for good measure, Ellen’s Uranus (which is opposite her Sun/Mercury conjunction) is conjunct Thoreau’s ‘fatal’ Moon.

Alright, I give in: these two ARE related reincarnationally.

There, Universe, are you happy now? Ellen is a philosopher…

They Treated You So Badly, You Had to Call Them Out

Prince Harry and Edward VIII

As you may remember, I made the connection between these two royals previously, only that I looked at their determination to marry the women they loved, even if it meant they had to leave the British Royal Family. So, it makes sense now to see if there are any karmic astrological links between them.

Where do I start? I guess Harry’s South Node is as good a place as any: it is conjunct Edward’s ‘fatal’ Moon/Neptune conjunction and Edward’s natal Midheaven, while not forgetting that Harry’s North Node is conjunct Edward’s ‘fatal’ Mercury. Aligned with that is Harry’s Moon conjunct Edward’s natal Venus. Harry’s Uranus is opposite Edward’s ‘fatal’ Sun/Saturn conjunction and Edward’s natal Pluto, while Harry’s Mars is opposite Edward’s natal Jupiter/Neptune conjunction. Finally Harry’s Jupiter/Neptune conjunction is conjunct Edward’s ‘fatal’ Jupiter/Midheaven conjunction and opposite Edward’s ‘fatal’ Venus and his natal Sun. Harry’s Ascendant is opposite Edward’s ‘fatal’ Mars. Harry’s Saturn is conjunct Edward’s natal Uranus. Harry’s Venus is conjunct Edward’s ‘fatal’ Uranus and his natal Saturn. And finally, Harry’s Sun is conjunct Edward’s ‘fatal’ Pluto/Part of Fortune and his natal Part of Fortune. These cannot be coincidental, can they?

My instinct says that Edward didn’t want to be the first born again, so he reincarnated as the ‘spare’. That way, he could be more liberated from the role of Prince of Wales/future King, in order to speak his mind about the Firm. We think it would be great to be a royal. These two know otherwise, and doubly so.

Why Charles Fought for Camilla to be Queen

Queen Camilla and Queen Charlotte

Imagine, if you will, that a karmic memory of loving your spouse was so great that you were willing to risk condemnation from the whole of the nation, just to marry her again in the present time. That’s the conundrum that faced Charles when he was instructed to marry Diana, instead of Camilla. I’ve looked at Charles and Camilla‘s charts before, so nothing new. But now I want to compare Camilla with Charlotte.

Again, the Ascendants line up nicely (as they do with their spouses). But it’s Camilla’s Sun that surprises me: it is opposite Charlotte’s ‘fatal’ Ascendant (for a noon death) and Charlotte’s natal Moon. That’s got to account for all lot, right? Camilla’s South Node is conjunct Charlotte’s ‘fatal’ Mercury/Midheaven conjunction. And Charlotte’s natal Sun is conjunct Camilla’s Mars. Camilla’s Moon/Venus conjunction is conjunct Charlotte’s natal Neptune and opposite Charlotte’s ‘fatal’ Jupiter, while Camilla’s Jupiter is conjunct Charlotte’s natal Pluto. Is that enough proof?

Camilla and Charles did it differently, this time: Diana was selected as ‘brood mare’ by the royals, and Camilla was married off to get her out of the way. But true karmic love never dies and they would not be thwarted in this lifetime.

Evidently, This King is the One He Most Admires

King Charles III and King George III

Courtesy of the Daily Mail

During Episode 4 of “Queen Charlotte” (last night), I got the most peculiar insight: watching the young King George was like watching Charles when he was Prince of Wales. Somehow, they must be connected, astrologically.

Ta-da! The proof is in the pudding. Because the American Revolutionaries have returned ‘en masse’, I thought it only logical that the ‘enemy’ should return, too. When Charles chose to be the third king with his name to rule, the penny probably dropped, but I didn’t pick it up, until today.

Where do I start? Probably, the best place is the conjunct natal Ascendants. George’s ‘fatal’ Moon is also there. Charles’ Uranus is conjunct George’s natal Venus/Neptune conjunction and opposite George’s ‘fatal’ Uranus/Neptune conjunction (which is conjunct Charles’ Jupiter). Charles’ South Node is conjunct George’s Pluto, and Charles’ Part of Fortune is conjunct George’s natal Moon. Is that enough proof?

Oh, and just for luck, William and Kate named two of their children, George and Charlotte.

What Caused the Madness of King George?

George III (June 4, 1738 – January 29, 1820)

We are in the middle of watching “Queen Charlotte” on Netflix. It has reminded me that I had yet to tackle the birth chart of her husband, George III. In particular, I wanted to see if his madness had an astrological explanation.

By this time, George’s health was deteriorating. He had a mental illness characterised by acute mania, which was possibly a symptom of the genetic disease porphyria, although this has been questioned: the original authors of the theory, Ida Macalpine and her son Richard Hunter, were “highly selective” in choosing evidence to support their claim. The most likely diagnosis, using more recent techniques, is bipolar disorder. However, a study of samples of the King’s hair published in 2005 revealed high levels of arsenic, a cause of metabolic blood disorders and thus a possible trigger for porphyria. The source of the arsenic is not known, but it could have been a component of medicines or cosmetics.

Wikipedia

This chart was already on my computer program, so I’ll leave it as is. There are two inconjuncts.

Sun Inconjunct Moon

This aspect suggests that there is a subtle conflict going on inside that may sometimes create emotional problems. The Sun signifies your conscious personality, the way in which you act and the kinds of activities that you like to get involved in. The Moon signifies the emotional and less conscious side of you. It indicates the habits that take over when you are not acting consciously and feelings that come up from deep inside you. The inconjunct aspect between the Sun and Moon means that the Sun part of your personality is quite different from the Moon part, and it may be hard for you to relate them to each other. It is as if you are divided in two, so that whenever you have to make an important decision, especially one that involves your feelings, the different sides of your personality want to go in opposite directions. You sometimes find it difficult to decide if you like something or if you want to take part in some activity.

Uranus Inconjunct Ascendant

Your need for freedom may interfere with your close relationships. When you are with others, even those you like, you feel restless but you can’t get up and leave because you want to be with them. This is typical of the ambiguity that comes with this transit. Certainly, the more others try to restrict your freedom of movement, the more you try to get away.

The restless energies of this aspect should be given some kind of release, because otherwise they can turn inward to create the kind of rash and compulsive actions that lead to accidents. If you have accidents, it is not because you are unlucky, but because you are not careful at critical times. Learn to avoid any kind of dangerous activity when you are nervous, upset or feel that your energies are scattered.

But that conjunction between the Moon and Uranus may have been the trigger for his illness.

Moon Conjunct Uranus

Unfortunately this aspect can indicate emotional problems in your early home life. When you were very young, something may have happened that upset your life when it should have been perfectly peaceful. In this case, you may feel anxious and mentally restless much of the time. You may also feel that you can’t depend on other people, so it would be a good idea to avoid situations in which you have to depend on others. It isn’t that they are so unreliable, it is simply that you have a strong need to be on your own terms emotionally.

I wonder what that “something” was?

Was Charlotte a Good Match for George III?

This is where astrology gets behind the story and tells us some truths that we would otherwise ignore.

When I first did Charlotte‘s birth chart, I rectified the timing. Little did I know that that would make Charlotte’s Ascendant (almost) exactly aligned with George’s Ascendant @ 3° Leo. That fact, on its own, would make them a great team. The other links between them only strengthen their ties. It’s no wonder that George and Charlotte would remain faithful to each other (in spite of his illness) and have fifteen children together, of which thirteen lived to see adulthood. This was a great match, made in heaven.

Honestly, You Cannot Make This Stuff Up, Again

Death of Macbeth (August 15, 1057)

I was skeptical of finding any information about the Scottish King that was the basis of Shakespeare’s play. So, you can imagine my surprise that I found out when and where Macbeth was killed.

Notice that the calendar is out by about a week when compared to present time. But it serves the purpose of my enquiry very well. There are no inconjuncts, so no hidden agendas.

So, what was I hoping to prove by raising this chart? That he has something to do with Ron DeSantis

Firstly, notice that the North and South Nodes have flip-flopped, with DeSantis’ Sun conjunct Macbeth’s ‘fatal’ South Node @ 21° Scorpio. DeSantis’ Moon is within 5° of Macbeth’s ‘fatal’ Pluto. And both charts have Uranus situated @ (about) 14° Scorpio. And, finally, DeSantis’ Mars is within 3° of Macbeth’s ‘fatal’ Jupiter, and DeSantis’ Jupiter is opposite Macbeth’s ‘fatal’ Moon. We are on solid ground here reincarnationally.

And all this because someone compared Casey DeSantis to Lady Macbeth.

Post Script

As I have shown previously, I was the son of the Malcolm III, the Scottish King who took the throne from Macbeth’s stepson, Lulach (Lady Macbeth’s child). It’s a small world, after all.

She is Rumoured to be the Power Behind the Throne

Casey DeSantis (June 26, 1980)

TALLAHASSEE, FLA. 8/22/19-Florida’s First Lady Casey DeSantis at the Governor’s Mansion in Tallahassee. COLIN HACKLEY PHOTO

I usually don’t bother with the spouses of candidates for the American Presidency until after they are voted into office. I’m making an exception here, due to the unprecedented attention being paid to Casey DeSantis, since her husband, Ron DeSantis, threw his hat into the ring. She has her eye on the main prize of being the next First Lady of the USA. (She has even been compared to Lady Macbeth.)

Her birth time is unknown, so I randomized the timing and then flipped a.m. to p.m. I was going to rectify the chart to reflect Mars at age 29 years, when she married her husband, but then saw this Yod pointing at the Ascendant @ 7° Aquarius and thought, “How appropriate.”

Sun Inconjunct Ascendant

You may find that no matter how hard you try to show others who you really are, they misunderstand you somehow. This is because the angular relationship between your rising sign and Sun sign indicates that your internal energies are quite different from the energies you show to the world. You are not intentionally dishonest with the world, you simply present a confusing complex of energies.

Jupiter Inconjunct Ascendant

With this aspect, you may discover that in order to grow and get ahead in life, you will have to put aside your own needs and do whatever the situation or other people require. At times you will go through tremendous and possibly painful creative changes in your life, in which everything that you are is replaced by a new order. Your environment may change radically, or you may lose all your old friends and find a whole set of new ones. During these times you will arrive at new understandings and realizations that make it impossible for your life to continue as before. You must always be open to new ideas and be willing to change your outlook on life.

See what I mean?

Her Marriage to Ron DeSantis

Sometimes, I need to step back and let the Universe show me what’s going on: this is especially true about relationships and marriage. These two may be very well suited to each other’s ambitions.

Casey’s Mars/Saturn conjunction is conjunct Ron’s Sun.@ 22° Virgo. Her Jupiter (remember that Yod?) is conjunct his Mercury/Saturn conjunction. Their conjunct Pluto positions are on his Descendant. And showing up in their joint charts: an interactive Yod pointing at Ron’s Ascendant @ 20° Aries. You couldn’t make this stuff up, even if you wanted to.

I wonder if I should be looking at Lady Macbeth now?
