Here’s a Thought: What If There’s a Missing Comma?

“I Am, the Way, the Truth and the Life”

It’s an entirely different statement, isn’t it? Over time, we’ve realized that whatever follows “I am” is a message to our unconscious. Of course, that begs the question of the rest of the quotation: “No one cometh to the Father but by me.” Could that be a misquote? Did Jesus intend “…but by my method”? Hmm.

A Peek Behind the Curtains

Canada Federal Budget (November 4, 2025)

In my dream last night, a shocking image was shown to me, and I won’t go into the intimate details, but I can tell you that whatever happens, a general election may be triggered by what happens tomorrow in Ottawa. Oh, no. (Onan.)

No, it doesn’t look good. That Yod (Finger of God) pointing at Venus on the Descendant is formed by inconjuncts to Saturn/Neptune, on one side, and Uranus, on the other. There is also an inconjunct connecting the Moon and Mercury/Mars. Because Mark Carney has a similar inconjunct linking Mercury with a Mars/Uranus/Pluto conjunction, it may be his Achilles heel.

But, and there’s always a ‘but’, Carney may succeed in spite of the odds stacked against him. The NDP may abstain from the ‘no confidence’ vote that will no doubt ensue, and then the Liberal government will pass the Budget and continue running the country.

This Song Spoke to Me Today

Second Cup of Coffee from Lightfoot’s Don Quixote LP

Song by

Gordon Lightfoot

I’m on my second cup of coffee and I still can’t face the day
I’m thinkin’ of the lady who got lost along the way
And if I don’t stop this tremblin’ hand from reachin’ for the phone
I’ll be reachin’ for the bottle, Lord, before this day is done

I’m on my second cup of coffee and I still can’t face the day
The room was filled with laughs as we sang the night away
But my sleep was filled with dreaming of the wrongs that I had done
The gentle sweet reminder of a daughter and a son

Sitting alone, my friends have all gone home
You never know when they’ll come droppin’ in
Thinking of girls with their fingers in my curls
Too young to understand how love begins

I’m on my second cup of coffee and I still can’t face the dawn
The radio is playin’ a soft country song
And if I don’t stop this tremblin’ hand from reachin’ for the phone
I’ll be reachin’ for the bottle, Lord, before this day is done

Sitting alone, my friends have all gone home
They never were around when I needed them

Thinking of girls with their fingers in my curls
Too young to understand how love begins

I’m on my second cup of coffee and I still can’t face the day
I’m thinkin’ of the lady who got lost along the way
And if I don’t stop this tremblin’ hand from reachin’ for the phone
I’ll be reachin’ for the bottle, Lord, before this day is done
And if I don’t stop this tremblin’ hand from reachin’ for the phone
I’ll be reachin’ for the bottle, Lord, before this day is done

    Hmm.

She’s Always Been One to Dress Up

    Hallowe’en 2014

    Katy Perry (October 25, 1984)

At least she and Justin Trudeau have that in common. With news cycles distracting us from the usual suspects, we are starting to see pictures of Justin and Katy together as a new couple.

Of course, that means I want to look at them astrologically.

I wasn’t prepared for that dramatic stellium of five planets in Scorpio. But it makes sense, given Katy’s love of dressing up. The Sun and Pluto are closely conjunct in the 12th House, while the Moon and Saturn are closely conjunct in the 1st House. The light and dark of her personality is visibly present.

If you have three or more planets placed in your first house of self, you’re meant to prioritize developing your sense of autonomy and independence over most things. It might sound selfish, but it’s essential that you put yourself first, and, based on the planets involved, it’s essential that you allow yourself to channel those energies outwardly as much as possible.

    astrology.com

She also has three planets in the next sign of Sagittarius, split between the 1st and 2nd Houses. Hmm.

I guess she’s just eggs-pressing her true self.

Doesn’t the groom in this music video remind you a little of Justin Trudeau?

What Will Her Relationship With Justin Trudeau Be Like?

Off the bat, the age difference might actually work for them. He’s 13 years her senior.

But the Yod (Finger of God), pointing at Justin’s Saturn (conjunct Katy’s North Node) formed by inconjuncts to Katy’s Sun/Pluto conjunction on one side and her Neptune on the other, could signal that his Father energy may be sorely tested by her rebellious streak. There are two other inconjuncts which may make it worse, or better: Justin’s Moon and Katy’s Moon/Saturn conjunction; and Justin’s Mars and Katy’s Sun/Pluto conjunction. In effect, the latter inconjunct makes another Yod, echoing the first Yod.

It’s as if these two people together will be able to unlock each other’s darkest secrets. Watch this space.

When Another Author Figures It All Out, Too

    Alan Watts (January 6, 1915 – November 16, 1973)

When Ellie was discussing writers who ‘speak’ the truth, in her opinion, she waxed lyrical about this man. Personally, I was never a fan of his.

Again, there are two inconjuncts, one linking the Moon and Uranus, the other, Venus and Pluto. I wonder if that’s why he favoured Zen Buddhism, even after becoming a Christian minister.

Was he the one who suggested the term, “Roof Brain Chatter”? That point, I completely agree with.

When an Author Figures It All Out

    Neville Goddard (February 19, 1905 – October 1, 1972)

    Read this sentence from Wikipedia:

He taught various self-help methods for testing his own claim that the human imagination is omnificent, therefore God. He achieved popularity by reinterpreting the Bible and the poetry of William Blake.

Ah, another man after my own heart.

There are two inconjuncts, one linking Mercury with the Midheaven, and the other linking Venus and Mars. Hmm. Looks like a secret sauce, to me. The Sun and Moon are in opposition to each other. For sure, this man would find different ways to express inner knowledge.

    Right!

What Have I Said About Discernment?

    News vs. Noise

This phrase came to mind, yesterday, while watching the latest Ellie Dreams Down Under YouTube video. In it, Ellie was discussing how even news sources are triggering tribal reactions from their followers, in order to keep their viewers from going anywhere else for their news. MSNBC are 75% to the Left of the political divide, while FOX News are 75% on the Right. Neither side is extreme, but both are keeping the two sides apart. Somewhere in the middle is the truth.

The following cartoon probably says it all.

    Hmm.

Emails Coming from This Address are Fraudulent

    prohibitionatl.com

I was suspicious when emails started arriving in my spam folder from this address. At first, they were trying to get me to open them by claiming that my cloud storage payment had been refused by my credit card. For a solid week, I got two to three emails a day harping on the consequences of not having cloud storage for my photos, implying that I would lose them forever. When that did not work, they started switching gears. Lately (meaning, today) I got emails offering a preauthorized Avant credit card (overnight) and, just now, an AAA promo. They must catch a lot of phish with them.

Unfortunately for them, I’m a fish of a different species. I’ve caught the line they’re selling, and I won’t be taking a nibble of what they’re offering. Be warned.

    There’s a Reason Why It’s Called This:

    Doomscrolling

The general feeling these days is that we are doomed. It doesn’t help that social media and news sites are adding to that sense of impeding failure. Even religious organizations are augmenting the inevitability of the world coming to an end by focusing on the Apocalypse. Everybody’s looking for someone, anyone to save us from ourselves. Nobody realizes that they have to do it themselves.

    There is no Superman.

    He is a fiction.
