Based on the past, especially the Roman Empire’s decay and demise, it is obvious that the only way to defeat a nation, or a political way of life, is to sow seeds of doubt and distrust in the fertile grounds of rebellion and revolution. We are watching a similar process happening in American politics.

Last night, on The National on the CBC, Adrienne Arsenault interviewed Celine about her stiff person syndrome diagnosis and her hopes for the future. The power went out before the whole interview aired, so we didn’t see it to the end. Adrienne asked if Celine was going to be able to perform again, and Celine said that she is intending to sing again. The ‘deer-in-the-headlights’ look on Celine’s face was concerning.
Is this syndrome obvious on her birth chart?
So, what could be the astrological cause of her health issues? The close conjunction of Mercury and Venus @ 18° Pisces could be the culprit. Mercury is not just the planet of thinking, it is also the planet of communication, connected to the throat chakra. Her Venus represents those she loves. When Rene, her husband, started getting sick, her vocal problems may have been exacerbated by the fear of losing him. But, to be fair, she may not have wanted to express those fears because she didn’t want to upset her family, and she may have been wanting to hold out hope for their future. Those two planets are in opposition to the Uranus/Pluto conjunction in Virgo. Therefore, she couldn’t fool her body into believing that everything was going to be alright. The spasms are sudden and debilitating. Holding yourself rigid to stop them probably made them worse.

This picture, taken some three years after Rene’s death, shows Celine to be almost skeletal. Last night’s interview, she looked healthier than she has in years, but that look on her face is haunting me.
No matter which way you look at this individual, it took a lot of guts to be a whistleblower, even though his methods were questionable. In fact, almost 11 years later, he is still on everyone’s minds and lips.
As far as actually answering the questions in the post header, I am completely on the fence, neither for nor against. I guess it was a matter of conscience on his part. I wonder if he has any regrets, now.
This chart’s timing is considered “excellent”. That makes it very clear that Mercury in Gemini in the 12th (of the Unconscious) is the overriding principle of ‘should I/shouldn’t I’ prominent in his chart.

This is the essence of click-bait: writing about the British Royal Family is like writing about Hollywood relationships, such as the one between Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, people just can’t get enough of it. But something is amiss. Only astrology can allow us a peek into their relationship:
These two were born close enough to each other to allow a great deal of connection, perhaps, too much. Of greatest concern are the interactive Yods pointing to William’s Moon. These Yods are formed by inconjuncts to Kate’s Mercury/Venus conjunction and her Uranus. Because William’s Uranus is also there, this ‘trouble’ gets doubled up. In effect, he is working through the problems he felt about his mother, Diana, when she was Princess of Wales. There is also an interactive Yod pointing at his Venus, formed by inconjuncts to her Neptune and Pluto (which are also identical to his Neptune and Pluto positions). This doesn’t bode well.
There has been a lot of speculation as to what is happening with Catherine, since the revelation of her cancer diagnosis and the subsequent medical treatments. Here it is, almost five months later, and she hasn’t yet returned to royal duties. But, honestly, if you were in her shoes, would you be wanting to be in the spotlight while trying to take care of your health, while battling cancer? I thought not.
Sun opposite the Moon, both squared to Saturn: on its own this T-square would be hard work. Jupiter (conjunct Pluto) in opposition to the Midheaven all squared to a Mercury and Venus conjunction is the other T-square. That doubles the load. And just for effect, the Sun is inconjunct to the Ascendant and Uranus is inconjunct the Midheaven. Whoa, Nellie!

Uranus Inconjunct Midheaven

This sleeper of a story is presently on Netflix. We watched it over the weekend. Ordinarily, I wouldn’t even have bothered with it, but when you’re at someone else’s home, you go along for the ride.
The Outfit is a 2022 American psychological crime drama thriller film directed by Graham Moore in his directorial debut from a screenplay by Moore and Johnathan McClain. The film stars Mark Rylance who leads an ensemble cast including Zoey Deutch, Johnny Flynn, Dylan O’Brien, Nikki Amuka-Bird, and Simon Russell Beale. Rylance plays an English cutter who runs a tailor shop in Chicago, whose primary customers are a family of vicious gangsters. The film premiered at the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival on February 14, 2022, and was released in the United States on March 18, 2022, by Focus Features, to positive reviews from critics.
I won’t tell you the plot, but the story is about one’s past catching up with them. The story slowly evolves, but the clues are there, if you watch for them. Mark Rylance is so understated that, at first, you wonder if he had wandered onto the set of a three act stage play, which takes place over the space of 24 to 48 hours in one location in Chicago in 1956. His description of how to cut and sew a suit of clothes also seemed out of place, until later, when the reason for the narration becomes clear. At any rate, the film is ‘shear’ perfection, from start to finish. I would highly recommend the time to watch it, without distraction. The twists and turns are masterful, and a masterclass in how to manipulate your enemies to achieve your personal ends. Brilliant.

Gender confusion seems all the rage these days. We didn’t expect our latest addition to the family to be caught up in the fad. Essentially, we’ll have to wait for he/she to come into heat before we’ll know for sure.
So I wondered to myself, would his/her ‘hatch’ chart give us a clue? It turns out we had two clues: Moon inconjunct Neptune (for noon of the day, since we don’t know the actual ‘hatch’ time); and Venus and Mars conjunct in Aquarius, That last aspect (in humans) would indicate an expression of love and hate combined, but in a budgie? Gender confusion, for sure. Isn’t astrology great?
I used to watch Dave Allen on Canadian television, long before I moved to England in 1985. He was famous for being an Irish Roman Catholic who wasn’t afraid to make fun of religion, like this:
Over the weekend, when we weren’t watching the Stanley Cup playoffs, we watched comedy routines. One of us had never heard of Dave Allen before, so it was a revelation to him.
This chart is rectified to his Saturn being at the age of twelve when his father died. The three inconjuncts spell out his role as ‘society’s conscience’: Sun inconjunct Jupiter; Moon inconjunct Mars; and Venus inconjunct Jupiter. In addition, Mercury is in opposition to Jupiter and Uranus is in opposition to Pluto. I suspect everything he says is done with affection, at least when he was younger.
Everyone on this side of the pond knows George Carlin. Probably most of his notoriety comes from the “Seven Words You Can’t Say on TV” live show: he was arrested in Milwaukee for it. But we knew him in the 60’s as a counterculture figure, when he was Al Sleet, the Hippy Dippy Weatherman.
I began to suspect that these two might have similar impulses, but I hadn’t realized that they were born within a year of each other. That means that the slower planets would not have moved very far.
This is considered a good time for Carlin’s birth. Note, however that there are no inconjuncts, so what you see is what you get. That makes so much of a difference between them. Carlin’s sh*te disturbance comes from Jupiter in opposition of Pluto. One of his latest videos demonstrates his penchant for violent ideas and rude language.
I guess the other difference is the environment. But what is similar between them is the need to point out the ‘bloody’ obvious to the audience.
Comparing their birth charts demonstrates the slower planets hardly moving for a year, but there is one surprising ‘other’ connection: Carlin’s North Node is conjunct Allen’s Jupiter. Hmm. What does that mean?
