Chants’ Scary Adventure, Yesterday

Take a look at his tail. He had part of it singed off when he decided to perch in the light bowl just below the ceiling fan blades (one of which he is pictured sitting on here). I guess he thought it was a warm place to be. I smelled smoke and said to Susan, “Is something burning?” She thought it might have been the night light, so she checked on it. Those few seconds must have been close to Chants being ignited, because I mentioned where he was, and Susan rushed to get him out of it. A bulb had burnt his beautiful tail feathers, and now he has a different tale to tell. (They will grow back when he moults in the future.)

This is an approximation of the timing of the event. As you might expect, those inconjuncts were operating for everyone at the same time, but each individual’s experience will dictate what happens to them. In Chants’ case, he had a near miss. It could have been worse.

He’s not even two months of age. We have to remember that he’s still a baby and will have to keep a close eye on him. Babyhood allows innocence to overcome adversity. Hopefully, this experience won’t scar/scare him too much. Bless.

What Makes Our Budgie So Feisty?

Deja (September 18, 2022)

“Strange,” I can hear people saying, “he thinks astrology applies to birds, too.” Well, yes, I do.

Deja ‘hatched’ on September 18th, nine days before Chants, but she acts so much older than him, scolding him and then kissing up to him. Only this morning did Chants let her kiss him. I wonder:

Venus Inconjunct Saturn

You need and want love, but you may not be able to get it easily.

I thought, ‘How strange is that? A bird wanting and needing love. Whatever next?’ The timing of her emergence from the egg is not exactly known. That is why I am not also looking at Jupiter inconjunct Midheaven. But, at the same time, Uranus opposite the Ascendant does explain her feistiness, so noon may be the right time after all. And the aspects linking Venus and Saturn to Mars may bring out her obvious aggression in her dealings with Chants. She’s chasing him, as if he is her prized possession.

Anyway, as I showed you before, they can stand together is peace and harmony.

It’s a Hard Taskmaster, But Necessary for Our Growth

Saturn in the Birth Chart

I was reminded by a YouTube video by Ellie Adams, yesterday, that mental health and other healings need a prompt from one’s birth chart. In the early 1990’s, I used to ask my clients for their birth details before taking them through hypnotherapy sessions. I found it cut through the usual BS and helped me understand where they needed the most help.

The planet that gave me the most information was Saturn. The sign, the house and the aspects to it were the bread and butter of how each person approached their father and other authority figures. Sometimes, it would also help me understand at what age of the client their father died. And, in my own case, it pinpointed the exact month my father left my mother before I was even born. It is that informative.

Saturn Returns

Over time, we get to see how we’re doing, when measured against the natal chart. It’s called the Saturn Return which happens every 29 years (approximately). A qualified astrologer can help you understand the implications, and sometimes the significant events, that will have happened then. Ellie and I have compared notes on a couple of occasions, and it seems phenomenal how accurate the timings were.

And, just to make a point of it, Saturn is the Ruler of this 3D world. That’s why it is necessary to pay attention to it. You shall not move on to the next level, until you have learned all your lessons here.

Borgia: The Byword of Libertinism and Nepotism

Pope Alexander VI (1431 – August 18, 1503)

Now, ordinarily, I wouldn’t bother with Middle Ages popes, but this one kind of stands out from the rest.

Obviously, his birth date and time are unknown, so I have only a limited awareness of the Alexander Borgia rule as Pope. He was such a bad boy, fathering several children with his mistresses. So, Venus inconjunct Uranus and Mars inconjunct Neptune at his death would tell you why Aleister Crowley thought he was Borgia reincarnated.

Alexander VI’s ‘fatal’ North Node is within 3° of Crowley’s natal North Node in Aries (and by extension, my own @ 10° Aries). There is a long streak of libertinism running through our charts, for sure. But is it real? I wonder.

When Windsor Castle was Almost Completely Destroyed

Windsor Castle Fire (November 20, 1992)

It’s hard to believe this happened 30 years ago. It proved to be a turning point in Elizabeth II’s UK tax strategy. The government paid for the restoration, and the Queen started paying taxes.

Uranus and Neptune conjunct Capricorn Rising seems to be the ignition point. (I wonder why I never looked at this event before now.) I used to live in Eton, just across the bridge from Windsor: I could see the castle from my building’s bathroom. So, this feels a bit more personal than most events. I can only imagine how Her Majesty felt.

The point of comparing this event with Elizabeth’s natal chart is to see what ‘exactly’ was going on. The almost exact conjunction between Elizabeth’s Saturn and the event’s Part of Fortune @ 24° Scorpio implies that this was always meant to be. The Uranus/Neptune/Ascendant conjunction from the event chart is wholly contained in Elizabeth’s 12th House, representing (I suppose) her worse nightmare come true. Her Sun/Part of Fortune conjunction is inconjunct the event’s Sun/Mercury conjunction. Timing is everything.

So true.

And Just in Case You’re Feeling Smug about Winter

We All Have a Bit of Magick in Us

Aleister Crowley (October 12, 1875 – December 1, 1947)

Up until now, I have avoided this individual, like the plague. It’s not hard to work out why: he personified ‘evil’. But, as always, when you actually look at the person, new insights appear.

There is a Yod (Finger of God), formed from inconjuncts to Venus from the Moon and Pluto. I think that explains everything, at least to me.

Moon Inconjunct Venus

You need to be loved, even more than most people, particularly by your mother or another woman who takes the place of your mother. This need for love will be the force behind many of your actions. If you don’t find the love you are looking for, you will develop an insecure hunger for love from everyone you meet. However, you may express this in very strange ways, such as a desire for food, especially sweets, which unconsciously represent love to you.

Venus Inconjunct Pluto

With this aspect you must learn a great deal about the kinds of friends you want and the kinds of experiences you will have through other people. Even while you are still young, you may meet persons who are quite difficult to get along with, but who seem to be impossible to get away from, even when you want to. You may be fascinated by such persons, or circumstances may force you to stay with them. These people do have a definite role to play in your life, but it may not always be a pleasant one. They will teach you something about life or about yourself.

So, was it just a way to meet women (presuming, of course, that his interest was in them and not men)?

He Who is Without Sin May Cast the First Stone

I am always mindful that ‘there, but for the grace of God, go I.’ That’s why I compare my birth chart to others’ birth and death charts. In this case, Aleister’s North Node is within 3° of my own. And his natal Saturn, ‘fatal’ Ascendent (if his 12-noon death time is correct) and my Sun/Jupiter conjunction are close. Even my Moon and his natal Mercury are close, as is my Neptune and his natal Sun. We are connected.

My credo, exactly.

We (Finally) Have Lift-Off

Artemis I Launch (November 16, 2022)

It took some time to get it right, but (so far) it’s going without a hitch. But is there trouble ahead?

That Yod, pointing at Mars, formed by inconjuncts to the Sun and Pluto, is not a good omen. The timing has changed nothing but delayed the inevitable. And there are two other inconjuncts, but time associated.

Sun Inconjunct Mars

You have a rather strong will, which may be difficult to control. This is because your way of doing something tends to interfere with what you want to gain by doing it. Your actions in some situations may surprise people by contradicting what they have learned about you as a person. Inside of yourself, you may even begin to feel that you can’t approve of the way you act, or you may feel that you can’t deal comfortably with the results of your actions. In other words, you get yourself into real jams.

Moon Inconjunct Uranus

With this aspect you must learn to control sudden outbursts of emotion that occur at difficult times when you least expect it. Also, your present home life may not be a stable situation in which you can grow up emotionally secure and confident. A particular incident when you were very young may have given you the feeling that you can’t count on anything or anyone for support. Later in life, you may try very hard to get away from anything that reminds you of your earliest childhood, even if your childhood has not been difficult. You just feel that you have to get away and go somewhere else.

Mars Inconjunct Pluto

You have a strong will and always want to have your own way. But very often it seems as if tremendous forces are working to prevent you from getting what you want. If you have this problem, it is because of the way you go about trying to achieve your ends. If you put too much force into your desire to get something, you may unknowingly alienate people because your aggressive manner shows that you will let nothing stop you from getting what you want. Even if that isn’t the way you really feel about it, you should recognize that your forcefulness creates this impression.

Saturn Inconjunct Ascendant

With this aspect you probably have a rather serious attitude toward life and other people. It may be quite difficult for you to simply go out and have a good time. You want to be serious and to spend all of your time performing significant tasks.

You may find it rather difficult to express yourself to other people. This is another expression of your lack of self-confidence, which will change if you get positive emotional support from the people around you.

The Yod Applies to Trump’s Third Attempt at the Presidency

I highlighted in bold the two inconjuncts that were also present during Donald J. Trump’s November 15th announcement of his candidacy for US President in 2024. Doesn’t bode well, does it? We shall see.
