The Battle that Changed the Course of British History

Battle of Hastings (October 14, 1066)

Bayeux Tapestry “Death of Harold”

We tend to forget our history. That seems to be a modern failing. But, in spite of this, astrology works.

The Battle (at Battle, as the field became known) started at dawn of the day according to Britannica.com. That configuration in the centre of the event chart shows an almost complete five-pointed star. There are two interconnected Yods and one singular inconjunct.

Sun Inconjunct Neptune

If you develop a bad self-image because of negative influences, you will assert yourself in unhealthy ways. Instead of standing up for your own rights, you will give in to another’s will, but in such a way as to make that person feel guilty. Often you will refuse to tell someone what you really want, thereby allowing him or her to hurt you without meaning to. You may begin to see yourself as a helpless victim of circumstances.

Moon Inconjunct Uranus

With this aspect you must learn to control sudden outbursts of emotion that occur at difficult times when you least expect it. A particular incident when you were very young may have given you the feeling that you can’t count on anything or anyone for support. Later in life, you may try very hard to get away from anything that reminds you of your earliest childhood, even if your childhood has not been difficult. You just feel that you have to get away and go somewhere else.

Uranus Inconjunct Neptune

This aspect indicates a generation that had mixed feelings about its ideals and how to implement them. They often felt very confused about their ideals, and when they found that their ideals failed because they were badly formulated, this group became disillusioned. States of consciousness beyond the ordinary are very confusing to them, and they prefer not to get involved with such matters.

Neptune Inconjunct Ascendant

This aspect can be a sign that you feel you must give way to others in order to get along with them. This can take two forms, both of which will be difficult to handle while you are young. The less positive form is simply yielding to all outside pressure and always giving in to others’ desires. This will produce unconscious feelings of resentment that you can’t express, but that make your relationships with others rather difficult.

But the other, more positive, way of dealing with this energy is by giving freely before others try to take it from you.

(These aspects may be totally about the English population at the time.)

Pluto Inconjunct Midheaven

You may have trouble with older people who try to teach you how to effectively take control of your life. To a great extent, your path in life will be shaped by your early confrontations with authority figures. Your parents and teachers should be very straightforward with you, because if you feel that people are not being honest with you, you will not be honest with them. You are quite capable of acting behind peoples’ backs if you consider it necessary or if you feel that you never get your own way.

(This aspect seems to relate to William the Conqueror.)

Battle, England

I visited this field when I was living in England. It is soaked with the blood of the English and Normans alike. I didn’t get any psychic feelings, but I suspect that other more sensitive souls would have. Britain turned on a five pence piece that day. And look where we are now.

It’s Not Only in the States:

White Supremacy

Poster in Burnaby BC (courtesy of CTV)

When you are a white Anglo Saxon Protestant male it is very difficult to accurately gauge how someone else (who is not) feels. I’ve tackled this subject matter before, but it is becoming more obvious every day that there is a swathe of society that is unhappy with their lot: WASP males. Now, I’ve had an eye-opening experience while watching a YouTube video:

I’m grateful to Ellie Dreams Down Under because she has let me see that the infighting of the different groups will prevent them from uniting and taking over the government. Thank God for that.

When a Deeply Entrenched Routine Becomes a Rut

Stuck in the Mud

When summer changed to autumn last week, I suddenly became aware that I’d managed to stay indoors for the majority of the time. In and of itself, that would barely register on my event horizon, normally, but it has become obvious to me that I’m in a rut. That’s what comes from being a stick in the mud, doesn’t it? Eventually you become stuck in a routine.

They say that one needs to spend some time with nature to recharge one’s spiritual batteries. (I think mine are completely depleted.) So, if the weather holds out, Susan and I will be at Tracy and Roger’s lot as you read this post. Hopefully, I’ll come back refreshed and raring to go again.

Is He the Illegitimate Next-in-Line to the British Throne?

Simon Dorante-Day (April 5, 1966)

It’s a little bit funny, isn’t it? Charles becomes King and rumours start to swirl about this individual, almost instantly, and yet he’s been saying the same thing for at least six years, without any confirmation.

Ooh, ooh, me first! Me first! (Hand in the air.)

No one has his correct birth time, so I set the clock to 12 noon. Even so, there are clues: an exact conjunction between Uranus and Pluto is inconjunct to his Sun; and Mars is inconjunct Neptune. This event was supposed to be kept under wraps.

Sun Inconjunct Uranus

There is a side of your personality that is very restless and impatient with rules, even when you know they are for your own good.

Sometimes the energy of this aspect comes out in other ways as well. At times sudden upsets may occur in your life that totally alter your plans, so that you have to change course entirely. When this happens, you must learn to yield to the pressure and flow with the change. It may be difficult for you to realize it, but such an upset occurs because you have blocked much-needed changes in your life, or they have been denied you.

Sun Inconjunct Pluto

There will be many changes in your life, and you will be affected by deep psychological forces that may be difficult to understand at times, as well as confusing to the people around you. You approach people with great intensity, and your emotional involvements are seldom casual. One of the most important lessons that you will have to learn is to be more moderate.

You are very serious for your age, perhaps too much so, for taking everything very seriously can destroy much of the joy in life. Not all encounters are important and require you to put yourself on the line, although you may try to live that way.

Mars Inconjunct Neptune

With this aspect you must learn to stand up for yourself and demand your rights forthrightly and directly. Often you feel that you don’t have enough energy to assert yourself or that any such effort would be futile. Unfortunately, some people with this aspect learn to work behind the scenes or dishonestly. Others simply give up or take a defeatist attitude toward life.

I don’t honestly know what to think about this. So, I did a little alternative viewing to see what I could find:

Then I compared Simon’s chart to Charles’ and Camilla’s charts:

OK. Now it’s a little clearer: Simon’s Sun is conjunct both Charles’ and Camilla’s Midheaven. That says a lot to me. And Simon’s North/South Node axis is conjunct Camilla’s. And Simon’s Jupiter is conjunct Camilla’s Uranus. It makes it entirely possible that Camilla is Simon’s mother, but what about Charles? Simon’s Neptune (remember that, from his birth chart analysis?) is within 1° of Charles’ Sun, while Simon’s Moon is in the middle of Charles’ Venus/Neptune conjunction. There is a definite connection.

So, could his paternity ever be ‘proven’? Probably not.

Uranus Conjunct Pluto (1965)

This aspect undoubtedly signifies a generation of children who will have very powerful effects upon the rest of the culture, for they will be revolutionaries in the truest sense. They will be very eager and restless for change, but at the same time patient enough to learn how to really bring it about. They will undoubtedly have a very powerful impact on everyone in society.

When Charles first met Camilla, she had been in a relationship with Andrew Parker Bowles, but they had split up in 1970. Parker Bowles began courting Charles’ sister, Princess Anne. The most commonly-held belief was that they met at the polo match at Windsor, although it was also suggested they had met at the home of mutual friend Lucia Santa Cruz.

andmeetings.com

They ‘first met in 1970’, eh? Hmm, that makes this a bit of a fantasy (unless they’d had a fling without anyone knowing five years earlier). At age 5, in 1971, Simon was brought to see a ‘posh couple’ and he said that the man (in a military uniform) stated that the two of them were ‘buggered’ from then on if anyone found out. I wonder… Could this be the beginning of the end of the British Monarchy?

When the Past Came Knocking on the Present’s Door

Dead Sea Scrolls Released (September 22, 1991)

In the midst of my decade of strife and struggles, the Dead Sea Scrolls were released to the world. This is now 31 years ago.

This chart is randomized. It might be significant that the Ascendant is in Sagittarius, it might not, but there’s no mistaking that inconjunct between Jupiter and Saturn.

Jupiter Inconjunct Saturn

This aspect may signify great restlessness and unease, so that it is difficult for you to achieve a state of balance or feel calm and at ease. Often you have contradictory impulses; you want to plunge ahead into some relatively risky activity, but you are held back by feelings of caution or inhibition. It is often difficult to decide whether you want to act on your own or in a situation that is very structured and regulated. If your situation is too structured, you will feel closed in and repressed; you will want to break free and go off by yourself and do things your way. But when you get that freedom, you feel rather lost and at loose ends, and you find it difficult to set your own pace.

You may have mixed feelings about authority as well. On one hand you respect and admire your parents, teachers and other adults who guide your growth, but at the same time you resist their teachings. At times you resent these people very much, because they seem to limit you so.

The best solution is to learn how to discipline yourself and structure your activities so that you do not have to contend with regulation by others. Then you will discover that your problems with authority come from within, not from the people who are trying to give you discipline and self-control from without. Perhaps the best way to handle this problem in your life is to make a reasonable evaluation of any situation, make up your mind rather quickly and stick to it until you have completed the activity.

Well, surprise, surprise! This same configuration exists in my birth chart. Only this time, the planets have reversed signs and houses. I should have seen it coming, I guess.

Some call it Karma, some call it Hubris. I call it Poetic Justice. These sacred scrolls were hidden in those caves because of some actions of my own in a previous lifetime. So, when they came back into the public eye, my sins needed to be exposed, too. That is why the whole situation was a spiritual cleansing.

Like a Moth to the Flame

The Refiner’s Fire

It has taken me a long time to return to an insight I glimpsed in 1992. Each soul is attracted to, and ultimately, absorbed by the Spiritual Light. It might take a very long time (in human terms) and involve untold number of lives, but we will all get there in the end.

Cash Peters (the English Channel) has followed over a hundred souls (so far) in their transition process. He watches them enter a metaphorical cave when they die and then tracks their pilgrim’s progress until they reach the light, farther on up the tunnel. Eventually, every single one of these individual souls is absorbed into a dome of light at the end of their journey, even Queen Elizabeth II.

Choosing the Right Time to Act (or Not)

Two of Swords

I have previously discussed the Tarot card that followed the first two drawn, here. Strangely enough, I was now faced with a financial dilemma in the late 1980’s: how can I succeed when my path isn’t clear?

I was definitely in a bind. Could a different perspective help? From Tarot of the New Vision:

A blindfolded person sits on a stone block on the seashore, the symbolic birthplace of life. The stone seat is a symbol of solidarity. The man’s blindfolded eyes suggest he has not yet realized his situation; he is unaware that he is passing from one emotive or existential dimension to another. He holds two swords diagonally: a symbol of an apparently insurmountable boundary. In front of him is a white horse, the symbol of spiritual leadership that helps us overcome any obstacle. The beach in front of this character should be seen as a landing place for existence. In the card’s previous version, we could see the moon in the sky (representing the unconscious and instinctive faculties) and little islands in the sea (symbols of certain aspects of the personality that emerge from the unconscious).

Page 108

The card following this one suggested that I let go of inhibitions. I did, as evidenced by the next one.

Page of Swords

It was time to do something, anything: but would I succeed or fail miserably?

You can imagine my surprise when this card showed up in Susan’s cousin’s impromptu reading for me. Here’s what it could actually mean (and please note that the other name for this card is Knave of Swords):

On the top of a mountain stands a young man, or maybe a young woman, brandishing a sword. It looks as if this person wants to challenge the dark and cloudy sky – a symbol of unfavorable omens or emerging problems. This is the image of the youthful idealism that urges us to tackle problematic situations head on, without worrying too much about long-term consequences. The mountain represents an ample vision of reality; we can look into the distance, but we may not have sufficient knowledge of the details that characterize each place, situation or experience. Under the figure’s right foot is a stone in the shape of a head, signifying a contempt for materialism.

Main Meanings

A young friend (man or woman) or consultant with rich imagination and Utopian projects. He or she studies or carries out research. He or she shares ideal passions, professional or sentiments. Perfect health.

Page 117

I read somewhere that he/she represents someone who wants to take credit for their actions but has to do them behind-the-scenes. Very apt, as it turned out in 1994.

The result in 1995 and 1996? As noted, before: complete ruination. But the spell was broken and now all I had to do was wait for the storm, that I’d started by my actions, to pass. In the meantime, I started writing the Star of Bethlehem manuscript. That may have been the purpose, in the long run.

I Wand-ered Lonely as a Cloud

Four of Wands

This was the first card turned over in my impromptu reading from Susan’s cousin. I have puzzled over this for almost two months. How does this apply to my life, now? Hmm. More information required.

No. I haven’t got its meaning for me, yet. So, let’s look at the Tarot of the New Vision description:

New shoots sprout from four poles planted into the ground. A flowered festoon joins the poles together – a symbol of festivity. In fact, nearby, we can see many people dancing and playing. Two women – one dressed in red (the color of passion) and one dressed in blue (the color of temperance) – can clearly be seen lifting bouquets of flowers to the sky. They express their wish to join in the party, even if only indirectly and from a distance. In any case, this is the representation of the joy derived from a success involving numerous people.

Page 96

A glimmer is starting to appear. Could this be the last birthday party (age 35) I celebrated with Rus and my sisters, Anne and Rachel, in Canada, before I flew to the UK? Hmm.

Then that raises the question: what does the next card drawn mean?

Three of Wands

Treachery?! Ooh, dear me.

I suspect that this card may represent my actions after I arrived in England in early March 1985. I’m starting to see the significance of this Tarot reading.

On the top of a hill, a man looks into the distance while a caravan of horses and wagons comes up behind him. He has probably gone ahead to scout the area; perhaps he is an explorer. His clothes are colored red (a desire for knowledge) and green (the hope of obtaining it). The caravan represents a project, an idea, or ambition involving many other people. The caravan is at the bottom of the hill and about to go up the steep path to the top of the mountain; this means that the journey will be rough, and that the destination is a long way off.

Page 95

OK. Now we’re getting somewhere.

To be continued…

“Time, Times and Half-a-Time” (Daniel 12:12)

Logan Smith Predictions on Twitter

Twitter prediction update – June 7, 2022

I suppose it would not be too difficult to ‘fake’ a prediction if you know how. There is a lot of speculation as to the fact of Logan Smith predicting the Queen’s death on September 8th, last June.

But did you know that he’d previously made a similar prediction last January?

Now, that’s how to call it ‘wrong’ in a spectacular manner. But is there any merit to his suggestion that Charles III will die on March 28, 2026?

I have randomized the timing since no other details are available from Logan Smith. At the time this chart suggests, there is a Moon inconjunct Mercury aspect.

Moon Inconjunct Mercury

On the other hand, you shouldn’t allow your feelings to overrun your reason. The best thing to do whenever there seems to be a conflict between these two areas is to not make a decision immediately. Reflect and wait for further information that might help you make up your mind.

(Warning noted…)

I just wanted to let you see what his birth chart and his predicted death chart would look like together.

Note that Pluto is just about exactly conjunct his natal Descendant in Aquarius. This could be a sign of the accuracy of the prediction. It could also be wishful thinking on someone’s part. Three-and-a-half years, eh?

Hmm.

The Grim Reaper had a momentary visitation to Coronation of Charles III on May 6, 2023

Uh-Oh: Should Have Done His Chart First

Raymond Dearie (June 4, 1944)

When Trump thought he could find a “Special Master” who would be on his side, he chose a Judge who didn’t have a good time with the F.B.I. in the past. But that was then, and this is now.

Birth time unknown, so this chart is randomized. And yet…there is one inconjunct (but dependent on a correct time of birth).

Saturn Inconjunct Ascendant

With this aspect you probably have a rather serious attitude toward life and other people. It may be quite difficult for you to simply go out and have a good time. You want to be serious and to spend all your time performing significant tasks. This attitude may have developed because you were discouraged from enjoying yourself when you were younger. You may have been made to feel that only work is important, that play serves no useful purpose.

You need to be encouraged to believe in yourself and to recognize your personal strength. You have to be helped to realize that you as an individual are worth a lot and that you need to get some satisfaction from life as much as the next person does.

Will He Help Trump Win His Battle with the DOJ?

My initial response to that question is “No.” There’s a subtle conflict of energies between Trump’s 12th House Pluto in Leo and Dearie’s Mars (slightly more that 2° apart). The other conjunctions are close but not exact: Trump’s and Dearie’s Neptunes in Libra; Trump’s Venus and Dearie’s North Node in Cancer; Trump’s Uranus and Dearie’s Sun in Gemini; and Dearie’s Part of Fortune and Trump’s Midheaven.

It’s an interesting dynamic. I suspect Trump won’t get away with anything. We shall see, won’t we?

See this:

And this:

And now for something completely different:

Perhaps.
