The First (and Only) Dictator of Rome

e004_1

Gaius Julius Cæsar (July 13, 100 BCE – March 15, 44 BCE)

Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears;
I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him.
The evil that men do lives after them;
The good is oft interred with their bones;
So let it be with Caesar.

(spoken by Mark Antony in Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare)

I waited a full week since I wrote about Mark Antony before writing this post. There is a reason for this. It has to do with Cleopatra’s #metoo moment.

The injustice, the adverse partiality, of the attitude assumed by classical authors will speedily become apparent to all unbiassed students; and a single instance of this obliquity of judgment is all that need be mentioned here to illustrate my contention. I refer to the original intimacy between Cleopatra and Julius Cæsar. According to the accepted view of historians, both ancient and modern, the great Dictator is supposed to have been led astray by the voluptuous Egyptian, and to have been detained in Alexandria, against his better judgment, by the wiles of this Siren of the East. At this time, however, as will be seen in due course, Cleopatra, “the stranger for whom the Roman half-brick was never wanting,”2 was actually an unmarried girl of some twenty-one years of age, against whose moral character not one shred of trustworthy evidence can be advanced; while, on the other hand, Cæsar was an elderly man who had ruined the wives and daughters of an astounding number of his friends, and whose reputation for such seductions was of a character almost past belief. How anybody, therefore, who has the known facts before him, can attribute the blame to Cleopatra in this instance, must become altogether incomprehensible to any student of the events of that time. I do not intend to represent the Queen of Egypt as a particularly exalted type of her sex, but an attempt will be made to deal justly with her, and by giving her on occasion, as in a court of law, the benefit of the doubt, I feel assured that the reader will be able to see in her a very good average type of womanhood.

The Conquering Hero

What’s his most famous quote? Ah, yes:

Veni, vidi, vici

I’m going to jump to the YOD (Finger of God) in Caesar’s birth chart. That alone tells the story of this man.

Mars Inconjunct Ascendant

Learn to work for the good of others by making their objectives your objectives, whenever possible. This aspect can accomplish a great deal, as long as you do not spend all your time and energy feeling angry or resentful about seemingly undeserved defeats. When you have a real goal to work toward that you can share with others, you will be able to attain that goal.

In close relationships you also have to learn to compromise. Initially you may come on very strong and act very aggressively toward someone you are interested in. But that approach only provokes conflict because the other person feels threatened. If you learn to take a softer approach, you will be able to get what you want, within reason, without having to fight for it.

Pluto Inconjunct Ascendant

This can be an indication that through experiences with others, you will be forced to undergo many significant changes in life. At times the crises may be quite unpleasant, but for the most part the results will be very positive, although for some people, they may be less constructive. But you must be careful about the kind of people you get involved with. Choose your friends with great care and try to find people who have a healthy outlook on life and who seem reasonably well balanced. People who are driven to extreme behavior or who act compulsively, as if they could not plan anything in advance, are not very good for you. They will get you into difficult situations that you do not need.

Sagittarius Rising (I came)

You are a very open and outgoing person, quite frank and honest; in fact, you may be blunt to the point of indiscretion. But people who are hurt by the frankness of your remarks feel better when they realize that you really do not intend any harm. Your honesty results from a sincere desire to keep life straight and simple. You do not like social niceties, seeing them simply as obstacles to real communication.

You have a great deal of energy, and you enjoy freedom very much. When you have to remain quiet or confined for any length of time, you get extremely restless. If you can’t direct your own life as much as you want, you feel trapped. For this reason you are particularly fond of open spaces. Sagittarians usually like mountainous areas, and being outdoors in general is very good for you.

Pluto in Taurus (I saw)

Mars in Cancer (I conquered)

As in all things, Caesar seemed to have a single-minded ambition: to conquer the world.

But “forces” at home in Rome felt that he had stayed ‘too long in Egypt’. So they plotted to remove him from the scene. They did not want an Egyptian Queen or her “unacknowledged” son to ‘rule’ the Republic with Caesar.

The Knives Were Out for Him

CaesarJuliusWBAGE2

Although I have written about Julius Caesar’s assassination in a chapter of my book, At This Point in Time, I had not thought to compare his end with his beginning, until now.

There are a lot of ‘hot spots’ linking these two charts. For example:

Moon/Jupiter conjunct in the ‘event’ chart is transiting Caesar’s natal Uranus; and Caesar’s Part of Fortune is conjunct the ‘fatal’ Venus.

But I think the most striking feature involves the three Fingers of God aspects:

The ‘fatal’ Mars in the apex of the two inconjuncts with Caesar’s Sun and Midheaven, coupled with his ‘natal’ Sun forming the apex of the ‘fatal’ Mars and Saturn sextile; and the most obvious of all, the ‘fatal’ Pluto/Ascendant conjunction forming the apex of the Yod from Caesar’s Uranus and Ascendant. The timing couldn’t have been more exact.

There are no accidents. This was the will of the ancient gods.

Conclusion

Mark Antony was Julius Caesar’s friend. They shared so much throughout the years, including Cleopatra…

Antony must have sensed Caesar’s rising sign, because he nicknamed his eldest son and heir “The Archer” (Antyllus).

But to go back to Antony’s oration at Caesar’s funeral, the speech that Shakespeare put into his mouth was just a clever bit of writing:

Just so we don’t skip by yesterday‘s post and not mention St. Teresa of Ávila, here’s the coat of arms for the order she founded. Isn’t it great how divergent thoughts link up?

Who was the Beloved Disciple of Jesus?

Poussin

Was it St. John the Divine?

This is one of the enduring questions which has puzzled Christians from the 1st Century CE to the present day. And the fact that there are so many competing theories has not made it any clearer for the faithful.

So, how does one get to the truth?

The Secret Initiation of Jesus

the-secret-initiation-of-jesus-at-qumran-9781591430445_hr

The Gnostic tradition says that John the Baptist is the real Christ. Now, that may be hard to swallow for some, but if you get past the initial shock of that revelation, you will see that there is some truth to the idea.

Jesus couldn’t start his mission until John baptized him. And John was an Essene. Much like in the rites of Osiris, the novice undergoes a series of initiations, after which he partakes of a special meal (bread and wine). Jesus inaugurated this for the disciples at the Last Supper.

And all of this seems to be linked to Mount Carmel, an Egyptian ‘holy mountain’.

(From Britannica:) Sanctified since early times, Mt. Carmel is mentioned as a “holy mountain” in Egyptian records of the 16th century bc. As a “high place,” it was long a centre of idol worship, and its outstanding reference in the Bible is as the scene of Elijah’s confrontation with the false prophets of Baal (I Kings 18). Mt. Carmel was also sacred to the early Christians; individual hermits settled there as early as the 6th century ad. The Carmelites, a Roman Catholic monastic order, were founded in 1150; they received their first rule, or laws and regulations governing the conduct of their order, in 1206–14. Their monastery (rebuilt 1828) is near the traditional site of Elijah’s miracle.

The link is confirmed with Edgar Cayce’s readings:

Q: What was the nature of the records studied by Josie in Egypt?

A: Those same records from which the men of the East said and gave, “By those records we have seen his star”. These pertained, then, to what you would call today astrological forecasts, as well as those records which had been compiled and gathered by all of those of that period pertaining to the coming of the Messiah. These had been a part of the records from those in Carmel, in the early experiences, as of those given by Elijah, who was the forerunner, who was the cousin, who was the Baptist. All of these had been a part of the records — pertaining not only to the nature of work of the parents but as to their places of sojourn, and the very characteristics that would indicate these individuals; the nature and the character that would be a part of the experiences to those coming in contact with the young Child; as to how the garments worn by the Child would heal children. For the body being perfect radiated that which was health, life itself. Just as today, individuals may radiate, by their spiritual selves, health, life, that vibration which is destruction to disease in any form in bodies. These were the characters and natures of things studied by Josie. (1010-17) From Edgar Cayce’s Story of Jesus by Jeffrey Furst

The Raising of Lazarus

St-Germain-Incarnations-640x609

I have written previously about the story of Lazarus coming back from the dead. I think this New Testament story is a blind for the truth of what really happened.

The full description is contained chapter 11 of the Gospel of St. John! (That’s a hint…)

In my post about The Refiner’s Fire, I quoted this:

After Jesus brought Lazarus back from the dead, he had him prepare himself for a spiritual baptism by meditating with the angels of the Heavenly Father and Earthly Mother for 6 days in the manner of the ESSENES. Then on the seventh evening, Jesus took Lazarus to a cave with a stream running through it and initiated him with a secret ceremony.

I can no longer find the source of this quote, so it must have come from a book I had, now long gone. It may have been from the ‘secret’ Gospel of Philip.

At any rate, Lazarus (Mary and Martha’s brother?) drops out of sight after the secret ceremony, and isn’t mentioned again except in parables about the afterlife.

Could he have been renamed John by Jesus?

John of Patmos

Евангелист Иоанн

According to Rudolf Steiner, St. John (the scribe of Revelation) is the prior life of Christian Rosenkreutz. That would also make the Count of St. Germain part of this spiritual lineage. (And when I say ‘spiritual lineage’, I actually mean a series of reincarnational lives.)

As you might imagine, this is exciting. There is a Christian hypothesis that John would continue to live until the Second Coming of Christ.

20 Peter turned and saw that the disciple whom Jesus loved was following them. (This was the one who had leaned back against Jesus at the supper and had said, “Lord, who is going to betray you?”) 21 When Peter saw him, he asked, “Lord, what about him?”

22 Jesus answered, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You must follow me.” 23 Because of this, the rumor spread among the believers that this disciple would not die. But Jesus did not say that he would not die; he only said, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you?” John 21:20-23

Of course, the thinking is that somehow he would remain as he was for 2,000 years. The obvious solution is for him to reincarnate continuously throughout time. But that can become a stumbling block for the true believer because only Jesus resurrected from the dead. Really? Lazarus got there first. (And resurrect was their word for reincarnate…)

Parsifal Unveiled

81QlvLNO7oL

The thread for this image was revealed when I searched for St. John the Divine. Was it an accident? Or was the Universe making sure I included the obvious connection?

The Grail story is very powerful. It also hints at other things, such as Mary Magdalene being the Grail, herself. She is often thought to be the Beloved Disciple. As her brother, Lazarus, John could have been legitimately related to Jesus by marriage.

But I want to turn this back to Colin Bloy and his “Close Encounters of a Fourth Kind”. As shown in that passage from Who’d Have Thought It, Colin was told he was Parsifal in the re-enactment ceremony, and also that he was greeted by Jesus as his brother. Colin didn’t know what to make of those statements, since he did not believe in reincarnation.

But, as I’ve noted many times in these posts, you don’t have to believe in something for it to be true, anyway.

Conclusion

We’ve come a very long way from the beginning of this quest, and although we have no definite ‘proof’ that this could be true, we do know that all things are possible in God.

The author of the Revelation of St. John has seen the End Times, and although his latest incarnation died a few years ago, there may be yet another one coming, before the Second Coming of Christ. We can only wait and hope!

Kingmaker: the Throne Behind the Power

1200px-Isis.svg

ꜣst: the Throne (Egyptian alphabet)

Isis is represented in the Egyptian alphabet by the image of a throne (see it on top of her head, above). The pronunciation of her name is equivalent to ‘aisé’. This could be where we get the term ‘seat of power’. It could also be where we sit…

In the old days, only women were the kingmakers. Even the Native Americans and Canadians chose their council chiefs through the Grandmothers. If the chief wasn’t up to the task, he would be replaced by them. There was no divine right to rule. It was always up to the women to decide.

Has anything really changed? No.

It only appears that men are in control. Donald Trump would be wise to remember that.

Exactly Who was Isis: Horus’ Mother?

deities-Egyptian-Osiris-Isis

Isis, Wife and Sister of Osiris

Isis is a goddess in Egyptian mythology. She was the sister and wife of Osiris, and they had a son named Horus. As goddess of life and magic, Isis protected women and children, and healed the sick. Closely linked to the throne, she was one of the greatest goddesses of Ancient Egypt.

Her symbols were the ankh, her wings, and her throne headdress. (from Wikipedia)

She is sometimes depicted with a solar disc on her head, as shown in the above image.

s-l300

While Cleopatra VII was Queen of Egypt, she would have been the personification of the Goddess, on Earth. Her relationship with Julius Caesar was an alliance to unite the new Roman Empire with ancient Egypt, the country where the gods and goddesses ruled.

I suspect that Cleopatra realized that Caesar was the personification of Osiris in the world. She knew a good history lesson when it presented itself.

They had a child together: Caesarion, although Caesar would never confirm paternity.

Caesarion (June 23, 47 BCE – August 23, 30 BCE)

CaesarionWREJC1

It didn’t turn out as expected. Julius Caesar was assassinated during the Ides of March, 44 BCE, and Caesarion did not became his successor. Not only that, but Octavian (Set?) made sure by having Caesarion killed after Cleopatra committed suicide in 30 BCE, thereby becoming the sole heir to the head of the Roman and Egyptian empires.

I think this birth chart demonstrates how dynamic Caesarion was (Pluto/Sun conjunct), and also how young he was when his life ended (Saturn in his teens). But, as always, the inconjunct reveals a bit more than we’d reasonably expect to know.

Mars Inconjunct Midheaven

The difficulty with this aspect is to find a balance between getting what you want in life and getting along with others. More than most people, you will have to learn the necessity of compromising to get along with people, especially because you often seem more aggressive than you are. While you are young, the need to compromise may be frustrating, because youth is a time when your own needs seem especially urgent and demanding. At times you may feel that nothing is going your way, that you continually have to give in to others and put your own wishes aside. However, it is not really this bad. You do not actually have to compromise any more than anyone else, but you are more reluctant to do so.

Learn to work for the good of others by making their objectives your objectives, whenever possible. This aspect can signify the ability to accomplish a great deal, as long as you do not spend all your time and energy feeling angry or resentful about seemingly undeserved defeats. When you have a real goal to work toward that you can share with others, you will be able to attain that goal.

The Other One

It makes me wonder how these myths and legends become ‘real’. Set, also known as Seth, was the trouble-maker in the lives of the Egyptian gods and goddesses.

What is truly weird is that Adam and Eve’s third son was also named Seth. Is there a connection? The Hebrews spent a lot of time in Egypt. It doesn’t take too much of a leap of faith to see that they may be one and the same. However, his reputation has always been negative in the Egyptian story.

Conclusion

There’s that old saying, “What goes around, comes around again.”

I have no doubts that we are in the End Times. It makes sense that personalities and energies from the past would want to be present to help mankind through its travail.

We are giving birth to a new species of humanity.

Isis is here to watch over the process.
