Spiritual Downloads or Intrusive Thoughts?

Lately, I’ve had a dream image repeat itself most mornings, just before I wake up. In its latest version, the walls of my room seem to be flooded with light. But attached to the moving light are words and phrases which seem to realign themselves into patterns like sentences being written. Unfortunately, in the dream state, these phrases are unintelligible. In other words, they could be Greek for all I know.

Writing this now, I am remembering a previous post from seven years ago, about a Dream Wordle. Please note that the Wordle puzzle in the New York Times was nonexistent. (Today is their 1000th edition.) But in 2017, the thoughts were ‘dark’. Now they’re ‘light’. Is this a good sign?

It feels so to me.

Astrology Chart as a User’s Manual for Life

I am reminded today that Astrology has some very important purposes in peoples’ lives. I did the birth charts of our next-door neighbour’s two daughters, born 2020 and 2022. Essentially, they could qualify as COVID kids, because their charts are reminders of what the world was going through during those years. In fact, we are still feeling the fallout of the pandemic, even now.

As parents, our neighbours were mystified by the eldest’s reactions. She could not be bossed or cajoled into doing what they would want her to do, so they felt stumped. I offered to do the girls’ charts so, as parents, they could understand what was really going on behind the scenes. It has been enlightening.

Once these girls reach the age of majority, or maturity, should that come first, I would suggest their parents print out the copy of their aspect analysis, in order to pass onto them the wisdom of their lives.

Inspired Transmission or Plagiarized Book?

The Urantia Book (1924 – 1955)

Someone asked Ellie Dreams Down Under if this book was real or not. There is no ‘author’ as such, since it purports to be coming from a spiritual channel. So, it’s in the same vein as Madame Blavatsky‘s “Isis Unveiled” and “The Secret Doctrine”. Her method of transmission was that bits of information would be presented to her (by unseen hands) from different ancient manuscripts and she would add them to her own manuscripts. That’s also how I wrote “The Star of Bethlehem”.

The text introduces the word “Urantia” as the name of the planet Earth and states that its intent is to “present enlarged concepts and advanced truth.” The book aims to unite religion, science, and philosophy. Its large amount of content on topics of interest to science is unique among documents said to have been received from celestial beings. Among other topics, the book discusses the origin and meaning of life, mankind’s place in the universe, the history of the planet, the relationship between God and people, and the life of Jesus.

Wikipedia

In the grand scheme of things, each one of us is a Child of the Universe. We seem to forget that. And our day-to-day existence is so mundane that we also don’t see that there are universes inside of our bodies.

It’s All Connected

A more recent version of this book has attempted to cross-reference where the ideas and quotes come from, in response to the criticism that this book has been plagiarized from other sources. It is that fact that Ellie said made her feel that the book wasn’t from ‘celestial beings’. Well, the Universe works in mysterious ways, and, in Ellie’s own words, “The Universe Always Wins.”

True Stories of a Tell-Tale Heart?

The Heart’s Code (1999)

Ellie Collins’ new radio broadcast brought up this book and its suggested ‘cellular memory theory’.

You know that the heart loves and feels, but did you know that the heart also thinks, remembers, communicates with other hearts, helps regulate immunity, and contains stored information that continually pulses through your body? In The Heart’s Code, Dr. Paul Pearsall explains the theory and science behind energy cardiology, the emerging field that is uncovering one of the most significant medical, social, and spiritual discoveries of our time: The heart is more than just a pump; it conducts the cellular symphony that is the very essence of our being.

Amazon introduction

I guess someone is trying to explain how we can ‘know something in our heart’ (what most of us refer to as ‘intuition’) and that this information can be shared with someone else via organ transplants. Is it real?

To me, it reads like an urban legend:

An eight year-old girl who received the heart of a murdered ten year-old girl, began having recurring dreams of an actual murder. The girl was taken to a psychiatrist which concluded that the girl was recounting a real incident. After contacting the police they were able to provide clues (time, weapon, place, clothes worn by murderer and what the little girl said to him) that lead to the convinction of the murderer of the eight year old girl.

Reddit

The person posting that ‘excerpt’ may have mixed the eight-year-old with the ten-year-old girl (in the last line). But you get the drift of their concern. Urban legends are stories that help us sleep at night.

Which brings me to Edgar Allan Poe’s short story from 1843: The Tell-Tale Heart.

You see, there really is nothing new under the sun.

Moving From Faith Into Knowledge

The Age of Aquarius

It’s such a hard thing to do, moving from one Age into the Next en masse. It takes a leap of faith.

It’s similar to moving to all electric vehicles from our old gas-powered ones. Some of us don’t want to, even though we’re constantly being told that it’ll be better for the environment. Really??

But Humanity essentially has only one choice: move forward with the Earth via the procession of the equinoxes, or check out altogether and return to your spiritual home. Which will you choose?

Left path, right path or down the middle?

I’m Anti-War

I was a teenager during the Sixties. My natural reaction to war is being against it. I’d always wondered why, until I went through a past-life regression in the early Eighties. Then it became obvious; I had fought in both WWI and WWII. Now, during my Karmic Astrology work, I have discovered past lives that had taken part in many wars (and rumours of wars). That’s where my Peaceful Warrior vibe comes from. But I’m also aware that the choice isn’t always so simple. Maybe it’s been written into the fabric of space and time. The battle between Good and Evil has always been part and parcel of the Human Condition. It is a binary world, after all.

Now, it’s coming down to ‘sitting on one’s hands’ or getting out into the world and protesting.

Peace be upon you.

Well, That’s One Way to Become Famous in the States

Senator Katie Britt (February 2, 1982)

One kind of has to wonder what the GOP were thinking when they chose Katie Britt to give their televised rebuttal of Joe Biden’s State of the Union speech on Thursday night last. (And I have to remind myself that this person is two years younger than my youngest child.)

The timing of this chart is entirely random. Isn’t it funny how the Moon is conjunct to the Ascendant, opposite Uranus, and the point of a Yod formed from inconjuncts to Neptune and Pluto? But that could be entirely accidental. Her biggest political event, so far, was the rebuttal she delivered.

This time is approximate, since I didn’t watch it live on TV, so the Pluto inconjunct the Midheaven is reasonably suspect. No doubt, any aspects formed to either the Ascendant of the Midheaven are, too.

The fact that all the planets and ‘lights are in the personal part of the chart may be significant. This event hit some very personal points, especially for women, one day before “International Women’s Day”.

So, let’s now look at the intersection of this event with Katie’s birth chart:

Hmm. Interesting. There is one conjunction that entirely puts this into perspective: the event South Node and Katie’s Mars @ 17° Libra 20′. Apparently, she was born to do this. So, next stop?

Fractals: Is History Repeating Itself, Yet Again?

No, I’m not trying to be funny, here. Gregg Braden has this little guy (or a facsimile* of him) in the corner of his YouTube videos.

Are we destined to see this battle of good and evil play out again?

It’s All About the Cyclical Nature of Time.

As an astrologer, I’m particularly aware of time, especially when it concerns events in the past.

But then, does the past even exist?

NB: Maybe Gregg’s logo was showing, in cartoon fashion, this image:

In This “New Age”…

Are Psychics Real?

Now, this is the question for the ages. As one of the practitioners of the ‘forbidden’ arts, I am quite sensitive to the idea that we (as a group) are unwitting instruments of the devil. I had to unfollow a fellow WordPress blogger yesterday, because she railed against the workers of the ‘Dark Side’.

Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

John 14:12 (NIV)

In the past, I have shown that Jesus himself may have been a ‘magician’ (a wonder worker, healer, astrologer, etc.) After all, he communed with the Almighty, and he had discourses with Satan.

That’s what makes it so hard for Fundamentalists today, because they cannot tell ‘good from evil.’

16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

Matthew 7:16-18 (KJV)

In other words, use discernment (try the spirit).

Here ends today’s lesson.

How Political Ads Play Off Voters’ Anxieties

There is an Conservative Party of Canada ad playing on the airwaves at the moment that highlights this exact issue: “Canada is broken.”

A pile of puzzle pieces spills onto a table.

“Everything feels broken,” Pierre Poilievre says in a voice-over as the shot tightens in on the federal Conservative leader’s face as he appears to be concentrating on sorting the pieces in his palm.

The ad seeks to sell a hopeful message: Canada can be fixed — and Poilievre is the leader to do it.

But first Canadians need to trust him.

National Observer (August 14, 2023)

The final part of the ad, after Poilievre and his child put the final piece of the jigsaw puzzle in place, is the map of Canada. It’s a very clever visual image.

It’s something that isn’t true, but events that have occurred since early 2020 have conspired to help people believe that it is. So, Justin Trudeau and the Liberals are in trouble with the electorate, and next year when their control of the Government of Canada comes up for renewal, they will be replaced by Pierre Poilievre and the Conservatives. Then we’ll see how broken Canada really is.
