Is This Donald Trump’s Waterloo?

FBI Raid Mar-a-Lago (August 8, 2022)

Of all the things that Donald Trump has allegedly committed as the 45th president of the United States, this ‘raid’ may be the only thing that sticks. And yet, what a fiasco!

“When the Moon hits your eye like big pizza pie, Mar-a-Lago.”

The event chart is timed to perfection, but there are three inconjuncts, showing us that there were tough choices being made behind the scene. The ‘lightning strike’ of the Mars/Uranus/North Node conjunction in Taurus is lingering from the week before. ‘Something’ has changed, but not for the better for Trump.

Moon Inconjunct Venus

You need to be loved, even more than most people, particularly by your mother or another woman who takes the place of your mother. This need for love will be the force behind many of your actions. If you don’t find the love you are looking for, you will develop an insecure hunger for love from everyone you meet. However, you may express this in very strange ways, such as a desire for food, especially sweets, which unconsciously represent love to you.

Mercury Inconjunct Jupiter

You like to think big, and you have great ambitions, but you don’t always make sure that your thinking is clear or careful. When you make any kind of plan, be careful. Don’t try to take on more than you can handle and make sure not to overlook details, for that could hurt what you are trying to do. Careful planning will help you develop disciplined habits in other areas as ell. This aspect can mean that you are sloppy in your personal appearance and in your work habits.

Pluto Inconjunct Midheaven

You may have trouble with older people who try to teach you how to effectively take control of your life. Even while you are young, you may resent their control over you and resist everything they are trying to teach you. To a great extent, your path in life will be shaped by your early confrontations with authority figures. Your parents and teachers should be very straightforward with you, because if you feel that people are not being honest with you, you will not be honest with them. You are quite capable of acting behind people’s backs if you consider it necessary or if you feel that you never get your own way.

(I wonder: is this describing Trump or the FBI?)

And speaking of the Avatar Gates, isn’t it telling that the ‘event’ Sun is just entering 16° Leo, which is conjunct Trump’s Ascendant and opposite Trump’s Part of Fortune? Hmm.

We shall see…

Yesterday in History XVIII

Richard Nixon Announces His Resignation (August 8, 1974)

On This Day in 1974: U.S. president Richard Nixon announces his resignation following the Watergate scandal.

It’s hard to believe that this event was 48 years ago. Sometimes, it feels like yesterday.

The timing is excellent. And that Yod pointing at the Pisces Ascendant is significant. Having Mars opposing the Ascendant makes it obvious that Nixon had to act when he did. Also the inconjunct between the Sun and Jupiter is echoed in his words: “I have never been a quitter…but as president I must put the interest of America first.”

Sun Inconjunct Jupiter

This can be an extremely useful aspect, if you learn to have more self-control in what you do. Jupiter is always high-spirited, wanting to do and encounter everything and enjoy life thoroughly. Yet in some combinations, it means that you are unwilling to work for what you want. You may feel that you are such a fine person that you deserve to have everything done for you. Certainly you are worthwhile in your own way, but that doesn’t give you a right to be taken care of without contributing your share. As with all Sun-Jupiter energies, if you learn to support others, to make them feel good and happy in your presence, you will get their support as well. Then there will always be someone to help you when you need it. But if you act arrogant towards others, they may not stay around to support you.

Mercury Inconjunct Ascendant

You are likely to have some problems, but not serious ones, in communicating with others. The problem is that people’s first impression of you may not fit in with what you say or your manner of thinking and speaking. People tend to hear what they expect to hear, and they may not listen to you as carefully as they should. So you will have to be as clear as possible and insist that others listen to what you are really saying. If others do not understand you, it is up to you to set them straight.

Pluto Inconjunct Ascendant

This can be an indication that through experiences with others, you will be forced to undergo many significant changes in life. At times the crises may be quite unpleasant, but for the most part the results will be very positive, although for some people, they may be less constructive. But you must be very careful about the kind of people you get involved with. Choose your friends with great care and try to find people who have a healthy outlook on life and who seem reasonably well balanced. People who are driven to extreme behavior or who act compulsively, as if they could not plan anything in advance, are not very good for you. They will get you into difficult situations that you do not need.

(This reminds me that Nixon’s White House staff may have planned Watergate without Nixon’s knowledge or approval, but in the end he was left holding the Plumbers’ bag.)

Hmm.

Another Series of Dreams, Another Mystery

Worker’s Comp(ensation)

So, this is weird…

At least five times during last night’s dreams, I ‘saw’ false reporting and accounting with regards to claims for worker’s compensation. Now, that has absolutely nothing to do with my life at present, so I’m wondering, “Why am I even dreaming this?”

As usually happens, I get prompts like this, only to have it confirmed later by news reports. So watch this space.

An Echo in Time, from 1853-56: the Crimean War

Charge of the Light Brigade (October 25, 1854)

Although this was a short skirmish from the larger Battle of Balaclava, it made an impression on the British mindset in Crimea, and might be why the West hesitated to stop Putin from recapturing the region in 2014.

I didn’t get a definitive time of this event while reading through volumes about the Charge of the Light Brigade, so I settled on 9 am local time. Within an hour, the Mars and Moon positions would have been conjunct the Ascendant, with all that might entail in the reality of that situation. But the Cosmic Cross from start of the maneuver implied that it was doomed to fail, in my opinion.

Moon Inconjunct Uranus

With this aspect you must learn to control sudden outbursts of emotion that occur at difficult times when you least expect it. Also your present home life may not be a stable situation in which you can grow emotionally secure and confident. A particular incident when you were very young may have given you the feeling that you can’t count on anything or anyone for support. Later in life, you may try very hard to get away from anything that reminds you of your earliest childhood, even if your childhood has not been difficult. You just feel that you have to get away and go somewhere else.

Sounds strange, doesn’t it? But, if you read this as representing Lord Raglan, maybe it has merit.

My focus is on something else, though: the Mars/Uranus/North Node conjunction operating at the end of July/early August this year. An Australian astrologer, based here in Ontario, has pointed out in her YouTube video that all three energies were last (collectively) in the sign of Taurus in May,1855. I hadn’t realized that. At no time were they in a triple conjunction, but they were close enough (a week) together that some correspondence can be made to the present situation in Ukraine.

The Crimean War (October 1853 – February 1856) was a military conflict in which Russia was defeated by an allied force consisting of the Ottoman Empire, United Kingdom, Piedmont-Sardinia, and France. The immediate cause of the war involved the rights of Christian minorities in Palestine (then part of the Ottoman Empire) with the French promoting the rights of Roman Catholics, and Russia promoting those of the Eastern Orthodox Church. Longer-term causes involved the decline of the Ottoman Empire, the expansion of the Russian Empire in the preceding Russo-Turkish Wars, and the British and French preference to preserve the Ottoman Empire to maintain the balance of power in the Concert of Europe.

Wikipedia

There are couple of things that stand out. The overall length of time for Uranus to pass through Taurus, coupled with the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine could tell us how long this ‘war’ will go on. The other thing is the uniting of the world against Russia. We seem to be back in the Crimean War.

Will Russia be defeated and humiliated again? Or will they finally get the revenge they’ve been seeking?

Paul has a Similar Yod, Lost Mum While Young

Paul McCartney (June 18, 1942)

You’d think, seeing as I’m such a Beatles’ fan, that I would have looked at Paul McCartney‘s birth chart before now. It was my initial look at his second wife, Heather Mills, that raised the issue of similarity.

Could this be why they got together in the first place? However, Paul’s Yod is formed by Midheaven inconjuncts to Mars and Uranus, suggesting something entirely different from Heather’s double Yod.

Mars Inconjunct Midheaven

This aspect can mean that you have mixed feelings about all authority figures, including your parents. You may feel that you have to violate the rules laid down by your parents in order to get your way. This is a significant problem, because if it continues into adulthood, you will have great difficulties with employers. Therefore it is very important that your parents teach you how to express your self-assertive drives without going against their teachings. Unfortunately it is impossible to state how that should be done, because the conflict between self-will, on one hand, and self-denial and work, on the other, is different for each person.

Uranus Inconjunct Midheaven

You need to express your thoughts and feelings, but you often upset the people around you with your words. You seem to enjoy creating a stir every time you say something, but this can get you into quite a bit of trouble with parents, teachers and other authority figures. The underlying principle of this aspect is the need to balance your individual self-expression and manner of communicating with your need to learn and grow under the guidance of older people.

Certainly you will discover your own routes to what you want in life. Now you need to be given the confidence and encouragement to look for those routes on your own with total freedom.

(Forming the Beatles with John Lennon may have done that for him…)

In reality Paul and Heather weren’t that ‘together’ as a married couple. This may account for their divorce: they each wanted the other to ‘mother’ them without invoking the father energy. That can happen sometimes.

All things must pass…

While Married to Paul McCartney, She was an Enigma

Heather Mills (January 12, 1967)

It was during my latest viewing of “Paul McCartney in Red Square” that I started thinking about Heather Mills again. Such a beautiful woman, she seemed to be the ideal second wife for him. But something went wrong, and then they got divorced. Why?

No one knows what time Ms. Mills was born: most astrology sites list 6 am, but that didn’t look right to me. I contemplated randomizing the time, and then chose 10 pm instead. Why? Because the Moon seems to be at the right age when Heather’s mum left the family (age 9). Then I saw how Uranus and Pluto are bracketing the Virgo Ascendant and my mind went, “a-ha.”

As a result of this timing, there is a double Yod pointing at the Midheaven. Now, this could be totally speculative, or it could be totally inspired. You decide.

Sun Inconjunct Midheaven

This aspect can mean some tension with one of your parents, although it is not likely to be serious or destructive. In fact it may play a very positive role later on by forcing you to confront certain issues that you would otherwise have ignored. However, while you are young, you may resent this parent quite a bit. Do not take this too seriously, unless some other area of your chart indicates a more negative relationship.

Mercury Inconjunct Midheaven

It is very important that you remember not to speak impulsively. If you do, it is very likely that you will put your foot in your mouth. Consider what you are going to say and how your words can further your objectives.

Neptune Inconjunct Midheaven

With this aspect you may have to build up your self-confidence considerably while you are young and learn that you are as worthy as anyone else. Even though these are your learning years, when you must develop a great deal of discipline, you still deserve as much consideration as anyone else. Your natural tendency is to yield to authority, so that those people who are most influential in your life, including your parents, should be very careful about how they exercise that authority over you. If they try to control you too much, or if they make you feel that you aren’t able to manage your own affairs, it will be difficult to correct the effects of this negative influence later in life.

In Summation of Their Divorce the Judge Said This:

The husband’s evidence was, in my judgement, balanced. He expressed himself moderately though at times with justifiable irritation, if not anger. He was consistent, accurate and honest. But I regret to have to say I cannot say the same about the wife’s evidence. Having watched and listened to her give evidence, having studied the documents, and having given in her favour every allowance for the enormous strain she must have been under (and in conducting her own case) I am driven to the conclusion that much of her evidence, both written and oral, was not just inconsistent and inaccurate but also less than candid. Overall, she was a less than impressive witness.

I find that, far from the husband dictating to and restricting the wife’s career and charitable activities, he did the exact opposite. He encouraged it and lent his support, name and reputation to her business and charitable activities. The facts as I find them do not in any way support her claim.

All’s Fair in Love and War…

And Politics

To my mind, politics has become a very messed up business, especially in the United States. Now, Canada and the United Kingdom are not immune to some silliness every so often, but the process by which the Prime Minister can be removed is so much easier to enact. Basically, the party which the Prime Minister belongs can say they’ve had enough of their leader and force his (or her) to resign. Then they choose another leader from within their ranks, and he (or she) automatically becomes the Prime Minister. The opposition parties have the same process, and when the electorate gets tired of having the country run by one party, they choose a different party at election time (which is about every four years). And, sometimes, when the choice isn’t clear, they’ll elect a minority government. It keeps everyone on their toes (and honest, if I’m being honest).

Americans don’t have it so easy. They have to basically go through an election every two years, with the presidential election every four years. What usually happens is that one party has control of the Presidency, the Congress and the Senate for at least two years and then that control is diluted or overturned during the Midterms. Then the country cannot run at all, unless compromises are negotiated.

So, in effect, a minority government situation. At least, the President can only serve for two terms (or more, if the situation is dire, such as during World War II, when FDR was elected to four terms). The only other measure to remove a president is impeachment. Effectively, this would remove him from office and bar any further political involvement. However, it doesn’t seem to work against some presidents and they even tried to impeach Trump twice, but to no avail. I suspect some Republicans regret voting against impeaching him, but they know their base would have removed them at their next primary season. Only Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger were ‘brave’ enough to stand up to the Republican Party by taking part in the January 6th Select Committee. It’s like political suicide, though.

This quote from “Bridgerton” is apt (even if you add ‘politics’…)

Ingrid Channels Personal Fire Dragon Poetry

B*tch: a Reclamation (2022)

You might wonder why I would buy a book of poetry intended for women. Well, in the first place, I have lived most of my life surrounded by women. Secondly, I have read and admired Ingrid’s work on Facebook for the past year or so. Finally, because I write poetry, too, I like supporting poets when I can.

Ingrid Turner’s style of writing is unique in my experience: she writes as if creating flash cards of short phrases, which she strings together to make emotive and coherent sentences. At the base of her writing is an internal voice admonishing her to do better and then giving her love and support through her struggles. In effect, this is her Spirit Guide speaking aloud. That is why her words need to be spoken out loud, too.

,

Thank you, God

for reminding me

that my anger

is a lie.

.

It’s just the nails

I’ve spackled

on my own bed

.

the place

of rest, that you

gave to me

.

from your love.

.

And I have

the hammer

to remove this pain

.

and sleep forever

.

in the embrace

of your presence

for the rest

.

of my life.

I’m using this recent poem as an illustration. I only got the book yesterday and I need some time to absorb what it has to say. In the meantime, I would recommend Ingrid’s poetry for its truth. Amen.
