It Took a Hundred Years for a New Wilde to be Born

Stephen Fry (August 24, 1957)

Courtesy of Twitter

It would have taken me a hundred years to link this man with the role he played in 1997: Oscar Wilde. David Lowe picked up the link instantly, yesterday afternoon, and commented on my post. He’s right.

As Stephen Fry is a public figure, I can share with you his (already published) birth chart, but I will not compare it with Wilde’s birth and death charts because I do not have Fry’s permission to do so. Other astrologers can work through the comparisons and see for themselves.

The first thing to notice is that Stephen Fry has no hidden agenda: what you see is what you get.

Famous for his public declaration of celibacy in the “Tatler” back in the 1980s, Emma Thompson has characterised her friend as “90 percent gay, 10 percent other.”

The Sun and Pluto are conjunct @ 0° Virgo, adjacent to his Ascendant @ 29° Leo 49′. There is a dynamic to his personality that most would describe as larger than life. Mars is @ 10° Virgo, too, and all of these positions are square to Saturn @ 7° Sagittarius 48′. So, disciplined, to the Nth degree, even though Saturn is trine to the Moon and Uranus in Leo. But the Sun, Pluto and the Ascendant are sextile to Neptune in Scorpio, so that’s where the actor comes into play.

The North Node is @ 14° Scorpio and the South Node is @ 14° Taurus. One picture = 1000 words:

North Node Scorpio 3rd House / South Node Taurus 9th House

Letting yourself get tangled up in conversation. Becoming deeply interested in what other people have to say. No longer being stuck on your own opinion. Giving up stubborn, dogmatic opinions. Getting in touch with emotional intensity through conversation and writing. Giving up smug assumptions. Forming deeper relationships with your siblings, uncles and cousins. Speaking in your authentic, unfiltered, voice. Moving away from taking the easy way out by clinging to tried and true opinions. Learning to take those risks in communication that will bring deeper emotional involvement with others. Letting go of resistance to complicated discussions. Trusting that you can share what you think. Speaking with passion and intensity. Not letting other people make you feel foolish for communicating with intensity and passion. Moving away from a materialistic philosophy. Moving away from self-righteous feelings about money and material comfort. No longer needing a solid philosophical base on which to rest your thinking. Following your passion for writing and communicating. Moving away from a tendency to be greedy with your knowledge. Moving away from a stingy lifestyle. Learning to share what you know with others. No longer hoarding knowledge. Deep sharing that informs and educates. Learning to deeply support other people’s learning processes. Learning to talk about sex and sexuality. Unflinching, authentic, discussions about sex and sexuality. Embracing intimate communication. Learning about your powers of communication.

A Man about 150 Years Ahead of His Time

Oscar Wilde (October 16, 1854 – November 30, 1900)

Today is Oscar Wilde‘s 167th birthday. He didn’t live to a ripe old age, dying at 46 years, broken and alone. Is there a lesson in this story? Of course, only the good die young.

This is the timing of his birth according to most astrology websites, but it only rates a “C” because the original documentation is unknown. I originally rectified it to 4:25 pm in order to recognize Mercury @ age 27, when he first had some of his poetry published. But then I thought the 3:00 am time was more dramatic-looking, in accordance with his flamboyant personality. There are four inconjuncts.

Moon Inconjunct Neptune

People with this aspect often hide their real feelings and make sacrifices for others that they do not really want to make. Then they resent the person who asked for the sacrifice. You must learn to tell people how you really feel; if you do not, you have only yourself to blame for what happens. You must learn to accept that you are responsible for your own life. Do not act as if you are a victim of strong forces that you can’t control, because you can control them.

Mercury Inconjunct Saturn

This aspect can have several different meanings. First of all, you may have hidden fears that are difficult to express, but they cause you to do things that others can’t understand. These may include fear of the dark or of certain places or people. Or this aspect can mean that you often feel depressed and sad for no apparent reason. You tend to see the serious side of life, and it weights on you more than on most people.

Mercury Inconjunct Midheaven

It is very important that you develop your mind and your powers of thought, so that you can use them to attain whatever objectives you set for yourself. However, before you can accomplish this, you may have to solve certain problems. You may feel that there is a tension between your natural spontaneous views and what is taught by your parents and other adults. Even though their teachings are perfectly reasonable, you want to think matters through for yourself. But while you are young, you may not be able to accept your own ideas as valid if they contradict what you have been taught. Yet you cannot simply suppress your own ways of thinking. If you try, you will create tension and probably create a gap between what you are trying to do and what you say. When you are older you may express this tension by making indiscreet remarks that totally get in the way of your objectives.

Mars Inconjunct Pluto

You have a strong will and always want to have your own way. But very often it seems as if tremendous forces are working to prevent you from getting what you want. If you have this problem, it is because of the way you go about trying to achieve your ends. If you put too much force into your desire to get something, you may unknowingly alienate people because your aggressive manner shows that you will let nothing stop you from getting what you want. Even if that isn’t the way you really feel about it, you should recognize that your forcefulness creates this impression.

On the other hand, this aspect sometimes means that you are the victim of such energies in someone else, that you always seem to attract forceful persons who give you a hard time. Either they never let you have your own way, or they may be rather brutal, physically and psychologically. Learn to recognize such persons in advance and avoid them. Also think about why you are attracted to them, since in fact you may be quite fascinated by their forcefulness.

At certain times in your life, when there are great changes taking place within you and in your environment, you will have to work very hard to make your affairs turn out right. There is nothing to be done at those times except do the work that must be done. Fortunately you have plenty of energy and enough endurance to pull through anything that you will encounter in life. You are basically tough and persistent. These changes are an integral part of your growth, and even if everything seems to go wrong they are necessary to your full development.

Reading Jail

When first I was put into prison some people advised me to try and forget who I was. It was ruinous advice. It is only by realising what I am that I have found comfort of any kind. Now I am advised by others to try on my release to forget that I have ever been in a prison at all. I know that would be equally fatal. It would mean that I would always be haunted by an intolerable sense of disgrace, and that those things that are meant for me as much as for anybody else – the beauty of the sun and moon, the pageant of the seasons, the music of daybreak and the silence of great nights, the rain falling through the leaves, or the dew creeping over the grass and making it silver – would all be tainted for me, and lose their healing power, and their power of communicating joy. To regret one’s own experiences is to arrest one’s own development. To deny one’s own experiences is to put a lie into the lips of one’s own life. It is no less than a denial of the soul.

De Profundis

There, but for the grace of God, go all of us.

The Wellspring*: New World Order?

October 15, 2021: *New Channelling (XIX)

The increased pressure is beginning to affect everyone.

The energies are bringing new impulses which need to be integrated into the psyche and these adjustments are taking place. By resting in a peaceful frame of mind, the inflow of energies is smooth. If anxious or preoccupied with worry, and other distracting activity, a feeling of disjointedness is experienced. Progress towards the New Earth requires the integration of these energies in order to function with confidence, otherwise a lack of balance will be observed, and judgement will not be sound. Irrational behaviour is a manifestation of the lack of integration, but rest and sleep are the best options to cope and return to balance.

Since Covid, society has been impelled to slow down and this does assist the easing of imbalance. By listening to the media, fear has been generated of shortages and lack, with the breakdown of all that was previously taken for granted. Change has to happen so that old and worn out ideas can be replaced with innovation and a creation of a new way to live.

Man has dreamt and anticipated the New World Order but has always feared the unknown. This is truly an exciting time to be living through and all are called to play their part.

Jenny Merton: “Who’s Sorry Now?”

Heartbeat: Season 14, Episode 11 (November 21, 2004)

Played by Sarah Tansey

I’ve been a fan of this UK program from the very beginning, but lost the thread of the stories over the later years, due to family upheavals and my final return to Canada. I watch it on TVO now.

Last night’s episode repeated a theme I’d been discussing yesterday: madness (in this case, bipolar disorder, or as they called it on the show ‘acute mania’). This episode is the one before the halfway point of the 14th season, so it sets up the exit from the show of Jenny, the pharmacist at the local surgery, and Sgt. Merton, her husband. It is uncomfortable to watch, but it is quite informative as to what happens when paranoia sets in. And if we, the viewers, hadn’t known how devoted Dennis was to his wife, Jenny, her version of events would have been quite believable and he would have been in so much trouble.

The mind is a mystery to us all. When it’s at its best, a person can seem to be a genius. But when it slips out of sync with the rest of life, it goes down a rabbit hole (a la Alice in Wonderland). This must have felt like a stretch for Sarah Tansey, who normally plays Jenny with a winsome smile and generous heart.

Mental health (as the Newspeak calls it) is a strangely fragile state. Once it’s lost, it never truly returns, even though we all like to think that someone can be cured. At best, it is ‘managed’ by drugs and psychoanalysis, but lurking around the next corner could be something that sets the condition off again.

I wouldn’t wish manic-depression on anyone. And for those who are becoming anxious in their day-to-day life, remember to breathe, relax, and get plenty of sleep. Bless.

Can Madness Link Two Lives?

Elizabeth Thorpe (May 17, 1963)

Watching the Stanley Cup playoffs in 1979

This is awkward, to say the least: my sister, Elizabeth is schizophrenic. She has been this way since her late teens, blaming our mother for hypnotizing her and thereby allowing the Devil to enter her mind.

Ordinarily, I would be quite reluctant to share this information publicly, but today’s post about Sylvia Plath has set my thinking on this mental pathway: my sister and Sylvia share similar planetary positions.

It is easily understandable that this would be true because of Elizabeth being born just 95 days after Sylvia committed suicide in 1963. That would probably preclude reincarnation, because ‘normally’ a person who kills herself would not be allowed to return to a new physical incarnation so quickly.

So, this discussion is more about what makes two people have similar mental issues.

Looking at the three charts together shows some very srong links between them. Elizabeth’s North Node is almost EXACTLY conjunct Sylvia’s natal Pluto! At the same time, Elizabeth’s Pluto is also almost exactly conjunct Sylvia’s natal Neptune. Elizabeth’s Moon is almost exactly conjunct Sylvia’s ‘fatal’ Jupiter, and Elizabeth’s Saturn is 1° from Sylvia’s ‘fatal’ Sun position in Aquarius. And finally, Elizabeth’s Mars is just over 1° from Sylvia’s natal Mars in Leo. Do you see what I mean?

One Other Shared Personality Trait

My sister liked to write poems. They were never great masterpieces, but they allowed her to share her thoughts with others in the family. Sylvia’s poetry won her literary prizes, mostly after her death. *snap*

I do not presume to ‘know’ anything more about these two individuals. The last time Elizabeth visited our family in North Vancouver, she was exhibiting very disturbed reactions, mostly bordering on paranoia. I didn’t want my daughters witnessing that, so I sent her on her way. That was in 1984. She was 21. I personally saw her in Salmon Arm, visiting our mother in 1987, but nothing since that day.

Now I wonder how she is doing. All attempts to contact her have been in vain. If she reads this, all I want to tell her is:

I love you, Liz.

“Owl’s Talons Clenching My Heart”

Sylvia Plath (October 27, 1932 – February 11, 1963)

We watched a short documentary about this tortured soul‘s short life two nights ago. She was too far ahead as a feminist in the 1950’s to stay unaffected by society’s pressures to make her conform to their rules. The full TVO documentary is here:

This chart was already on my Kepler 7.0 program, so I’m leaving the timing as it is. Where Mars is in her birth chart may represent her falling in love with Ted Hughes. But it may also represent her conflict with the world and its uncle. Saturn conjunct the 12th House cusp may be the source of her mental issues. Saturn is opposite Pluto in the 5th House.

There is one YOD, formed by two inconjuncts:

Mercury Inconjunct Uranus

Your mind moves quickly from topic to topic, often without pausing long enough for you to understand what you have learned. And if there is a lot of excitement or activity around you, your mind may race so fact to keep up with it that you work yourself into a state of nervous frenzy. Under these circumstances it is almost impossible for you to concentrate or do any useful work.

This aspect might mean that you have nervous problems, such as a tendency to get exhausted or a sensitive disposition that requires a very calm environment in order to prevent further problems.

Venus Inconjunct Uranus

You feel mixed up about whether you want to be close to others or be free. When you are really close to a loved one, you feel smothered and want to get away by yourself to do what you want. But when you are alone and free to do what you want, you miss your loved ones and want to be with them. It will take you several years to understand yourself enough so that you can strike a balance between these two needs, so be patient.

She Committed Suicide at Age 30

This is another one of those “Perfect Storms” when the planets line up in a triggering way, and the individual decides she’s had enough. The event South Node is transiting her natal Saturn @ 28° Capricorn. That alone could be enough to motivate her to stick her head in a gas stove. But at the same time, the event Moon transiting her natal Venus made her mindful enough to seal off the kitchen from her sleeping children so as to keep them safe from her actions. And the event Part of Fortune is conjunct her natal Sun @ 4° Scorpio. This event seems to be ‘on schedule’, as it were.

The Final Words are Hers

The Wellspring: Past Lives

(Flashback to) October 16, 1991

Courtesy of Oprah.com

Question: If we have lived before,

why can’t we remember past lives, and how do we get access to these memories?

Most life experiences are an indication of the universal forces of manifestation.

We would wish you to ‘key into’ that aspect of memory which is available and ready, when you are prepared to accept that life itself is a continuous force, and the continuation of the manifestations of matter are but the physical display of creative thought. With the acceptance and understanding that all is continuity, you have access to your memories of all previous experience.

If you wish to have full knowledge of that previous experience,

you may have access to it through the lightening-up of the expectations of life.

The veil that blots out memory can be lifted by that state of inner peace, and the deep knowingness of eternity and continuation of all. The separator or shutters begin to dissolve, and the memory is reawakened, so that instead of a compartmentalisation of all experience, it once again becomes a continuous flow.

Awareness in every waking moment will also facilitate access to memory.

There is an assumption within your society that memory fails as the years pass, and that is ‘buying into’ a thought form, without really questioning its validity.

It is an interesting phenomena of many of the old, who, failing to have instant recall of recent memories and actions, have great clarity of childhood memory.

Think how vivid previous life memories will be

if you can dissolve the compartmentalisation of one experience from another and remember that which has been done millenia ago, that which has been experienced, and that which has been learned.

Many of the experiences of mankind have been accepted in physical matter, and have been a way of showing you how to receive access to many parts of your soul, but, unfortunately, mankind has taken it at ‘face value’ only.

To be in a state of peace, to be in a state of acceptance and total awareness, memory will flow back and re-establish itself as part of your known experience. The limitation of that memory is within yourself and your ability to accept.

If life itself is continuity, then there is no separation and there is no blockage to recall all experience that has ever been part of your own soul growth, your own known experience. It is all there, it is all waiting, once you put down barriers of expectation and assumed ideas that have been fed to you, and loosen up the bonds.

The Wellspring*: Freedom to Evolve

October 13, 2021: *New Channelling (XVIII)

The human heart seeks love and commitment with someone to share and trust.

In that search, there is a fear of betrayal which tends to take any close relationship with some degree of ‘guardedness’. It is very rare for people to be drawn together into an enduring relationship which achieves total trust.

What is human love? It is the ideal that everyone seeks, but so often is regarded with a “wait and see” attitude. Is the beloved in the relationship whole-heartedly? Or is the other person untrustworthy?

Universal love of creation is totally open. It does not seek any reward or confirmation. It just is, allowing all things to enable the flow of innovation and creation. It does not judge or attempt to limit, but allows all things.

Perfect love is open and allows all that follows in newness and transformation, both good and bad, but always progressing forward, allowing lessons to be experienced and learnt. That is the love of the Creator, the freedom to evolve.

Can We Trust the Source of Channelled ‘Musings’?

The Great White Brotherhood

When I worked on Fenella Rundell’s manuscript, The Wellspring in late 1992, early 1993, I had to overcome my resistance to channelled information. What I hadn’t realized at the time was that I have an ongoing connection to Nicholas Roerich. Now, whether it’s a reincarnation relationship remains to be seen, but it ‘feels’ like it is.

Then I worked on Helena‘s birth chart. That made me do further research to see what I could find out about her. Obviously, she used to channel the Great White Brotherhood for Nicholas.

The Great White Brotherhood is the name given in some metaphysical/occult circles to adepts of wisdom in or out of earthly incarnation who have assumed responsibility for the cosmic destiny of the human race, both individually and collectively. Nicholas Roerich and his wife, Helena Roerich, inspired by the Theosophical writings of H.P. Blavatsky, published the “Agni Yoga” series of books. Their contents, claimed to be inspired by the Master Morya, described the work of the White Brotherhood and the Spiritual Hierarchy.

Wikipedia

OK. Now this is where it gets weird. I started ‘asking’ my spiritual guide who might be connected to Helena in this present lifetime. I kept getting a ‘whisper’ in my ear: Fenella.

In real terms, Fenella is a very private person. But when I contacted her by phone six weeks ago, she immediately gave me her birth details, since she was also a student of Astrology.

We had never spoken before.

Afterward, she started sending me her latest ‘musings’ by email. I have featured them here on these pages, to bring her manuscript work up-to-date.

She has also been a little reluctant to endorse my idea that she may be a reincarnation of Helena. So, I am going to share their combined birth charts this one time, and those that are of a similar mindset can take a look and see for themselves.

There are four interactive YODs. That has to account for something, right? And the North/South Nodes flip-flopping between their charts shows a very powerful karmic relationship. The wrinkle in the argument is the fact that Fenella was born over 11 years before Helena died. So this is not straightforward.

The latest offering from Fenella’s pen (to be published later today) has a couple of pointed remarks about trust in relationships. What is her Source trying to tell her (and us)?

Would You Know a Golem When You Meet One?

Ron’s Gone Wrong (2021)

Watching the preview ads for this latest animation film coming out on October 22nd, I am uncomfortably aware that this scenario is exactly what the future could hold for mankind.

Now, David Icke would call this the tip-toe acclimatization of all things robotic, and I would say it’s essentially the Golem story all over again. Did you know that, in Jewish mysticism terms, Adam was a Golem? Oops…

‘The word golem occurs once in the Bible in Psalm 139:16 which uses the word גלמי (golmi; my golem), that means “my light form“, “raw” material, connoting the unfinished human being before God’s eyes. The Mishnah uses the term for an uncultivated person: “Seven characteristics are in an uncultivated person, and seven in a learned one”, (שבעה דברים בגולם) (Pirkei Avot 5:7 in the Hebrew text; English translations vary).’

In Modern Hebrew, golem is used to mean “dumb” or “helpless”. Similarly, it is often used today as a metaphor for a mindless lunk or entity who serves a man under controlled conditions, but is hostile to him under others conditions. “Golem” passed into Yiddish as goylem to mean someone who is lethargic or beneath a stupor.

Wikipedia

Do you see what I’m getting at?

Hmm.
