You might think I’m referring to a time about 350 years ago, but I actually had this vintage hat in the late 1980’s. I bought it at a native craft shop in Vancouver’s Gastown during one of my frequent returns to Canada. Of course, had I lived in Canada it would have been a lovely protection for my head during winter, but in the UK it was superfluous to my needs. Besides, I hardly ever wear anything on my head, even in the dead of winter. This tells you how much I believe the truth of my past life.
The proof is in the pudding (putting). If you want to see how this works, you have to do it, yourself. No one else can ‘fix’ your life for you. You are the programmer, AND you are the result of your programming. So, as a reminder for those times when things don’t seem ‘right’:
We’ve never had birds in our house before (at least, in my memory). Now we have three. This one is the quieter one, the other two, of a different breed, make a lot of noise. (I may not be able to concentrate for the next few days until I get used to them.)
BeBe doesn’t appreciate them at all.
Their reason for visiting is simple: their mom and dad are in the middle of selling their home and somehow three birdcages do not present an aesthetic that most potential home buyers would like. Besides, the cages take up a lot of room, and therefore would reduce the area of visible space. Once an offer has been made and accepted, the birds will go home again.
Mike’s ‘reading’ of me, which I wrote about yesterday, could have been about himself. In fact, some parts of the first section were almost word-for-word what his astrology analysis stated. But that shouldn’t surprise me because we cannot perceive in others what is not in ourselves.
What did surprise me was the mention of the ‘tightness around the chest’: as this refers back to a time in my life when a kind of panic set in, I’m wondering if that is symptomatic of more unresolved issues. To be brutally honest with myself, I am feeling concern for my dog, BeBe; she is now the last one standing in our household, since Cloe died. For months BeBe has been less than sure-footed about our back stairs to the deck. When we took her to the vets on Wednesday, we were told that she has a soft-tissue issue with her right rear leg. Her joint is inflamed and this has caused a prominent limp when she walks on it. She is not allowed to go for any walks, or jumping up and down from her favourite spots, without assistance, for at least a week. She cannot understand why, of course, so it makes me feel anxious for her mental state of mind.
She’s slightly ‘out-of-focus’ at the moment
That is a reflection of what is happening to me, too. Instead of being carefree (and careless) where my dog’s health is concerned, I have to be mindful of her at all times. But I’m missing our walks, and the comment by Mike about walking rings loud and clear to me:
Strong connection to nature and aware of its healing, recommend some walking bare foot for grounding and healing.
As a diabetic, I’ve been advised to never walk barefoot, not even in the house, and yet I know it’s good for me to connect with the earth. What’s a fellow to do?
That last improvement, “fasting glucose levels among people with diabetes,” flies in the face of what the experts say. So, my guess is, this is another ‘hint’ from the Universe that something needs to change, yet again. (It’s the way I get my inspirations.)
Yesterday, I got ‘read’ for the first time in almost four years by a stranger that I’d just connected with on Facebook. He came recommended to me by way of my daughter.
He sent healing energy and then took a look to see what he could see:
Sudden gush of blue energy, picking up good sense of humour, head strong, strong sen(se) of self, likes own space and doing things alone. Also green coming in, you tend to down play any health issues, feeling tiredness here and there, tightness around the chest, as a metaphors a gust of fresh wind coming in to open things up and give some fresh energy. Strong connection to nature and aware of its healing, recommend some walking bare foot for grounding and healing. Something to do with your bed routine, not clear exactly what it is though, see if more info comes in, just focusing back on the healing now and see what else comes in
While we were on Messenger, and he was linking in psychically, I was reciting the Monad/Soul mantra, which I do every night as I’m going to bed (so a direct hit…).
Happy in your own world!
Yes, I am.
Like a purple energy coming in to the blue, and sparkles, that’s nice. Thanks for letting me link in.
(If I hadn’t given him permission, he would have hit a steel wall.)
Not something I dabble in much anymore, but feeling an ET type presence with you or around you.
When I gently challenged him on this, he came back with:
Yeah didn’t delve in to that, was just a feeling as linking in with the purple/violet. Semantics, ET’s, higher beings
His aura reading of my chakras was spot on, too. Green is my balance energy (from the heart); blue is my communication energy (from the throat); purple is my inspiration energy (from the crown). The sparkling bit is new, so, as he said, “that’s nice.”
I think, sincerely, that we are beginning to get the message. My research into past lives has shown me that the personalities in history are fully represented in the present time. And sometimes, there are double acts where two individuals help each other to succeed in life.
But we have this thing about boundaries. We limit our perspectives in order to experience life from a specific point-of-view. Why do we do that? To find our way back to the Essence, alone.
Don’t fool yourself into believing that you are alone in this vast Universe. Communion is the state of being that allows All That Is to express itself through you. May the Force be with you.
François Leclerc du Tremblay (November 4, 1577 – December 17, 1638)
a.k.a. Father Joseph
Just after researching Cardinal Richelieu last week, I heard this term “Grey Eminence” on Jeopardy for the first time. I took it as a sign.
Father Joseph started out as a soldier, then became a monk at age 23, so I have rectified his chart to place Saturn at that age. I ‘knew’ that Neptune would be on the horizon (conjunct the Ascendant, Cancer Rising). Isn’t it lovely when that happens? This man was a mystic, for sure.
Venus Inconjunct Midheaven
You often feel that you haven’t any right to ask much of those whom you love. You feel that you must do favors for them instead of asking for their help. For you, love is an act of service, not self-gratification. Also, through relationships with others, you try to learn more about your own and other people’s inner workings. For this reason your relationships are more deep and profound than most people’s. But they are somewhat difficult, too. Your close friends and loved ones discover that you are quite different in a close relationship than you appear at first. It is not that you are dishonest, but that you show a side of yourself to your friends that you usually keep hidden, often because you are not entirely confident in that role. You may feel unsure that others will like you or accept your affection. This is one reason why you express your love by doing nice things for people. You are trying to win them over.
Jupiter Inconjunct Midheaven
The problem with this aspect is to find a balance between, on the one hand, expressing yourself creatively, perhaps artistically, and having a good time and, on the other hand, getting ahead in life, learning the ways of the world and finding an acceptable role in society. You know you will have to make sacrifices in order to accomplish anything of value.
Later in life, you will enter a critical period when your need for personal satisfaction and freedom force you to change jobs or even careers. When you have learned more about the world, you will understand how to make changes intelligently, but now you should discipline your Jupiterian drive for freedom and learn what you need to know to take over your own destiny. You should learn as much as possible about any subject or skill that will make you more aware of the larger world. Travel or foreign study would be beneficial, if that is possible. The more you know about how you fit into the larger scheme of life, the easier it will be to make the right decision when you have to change to a more rewarding and personally satisfying course.
Father Joseph’s chart has a lot of Libran energy, so it is no surprise to me that he was a political agent for Richelieu. But his Sun is in Scorpio, That’s why he preferred being behind the scenes.
Cardinal Richelieu (September 9, 1585 – December 4, 1642)
You’ve seen him in films about “The Three Musketeers”. He figures strongly in the creation of New France. But what else do we know about Cardinal Richelieu? Maybe astrology can help.
I have rectified this chart to reflect his tender age of 22 when he became Bishop of Luçon. As a result of the timing (and perhaps in spite of it) Pluto and Jupiter are both inconjunct (and forming a Yod) to Mars (conjunct North Node in Scorpio). Hmm. They called him a reformer.
Mars Inconjunct Jupiter
With this aspect you probably are quite active, with abundant energy for anything you want to do. But you must learn to control your energies rather than have them control you. You may be inclined to take excessive risks, to try out things that you are not sure you can do. But be careful, because with this aspect the energies of Mars and Jupiter do not work very smoothly together. If you overextend yourself and try to do more than you are physically capable of, you may have an accident. Also you may be clumsy when you take up a new activity until you learn to control your physical body better.
It is important for you to realize that you are not unlucky. Accidents or mishaps result from going too far too fast rather than from bad luck. If you slow down and learn new skills carefully and slowly, you will do as well as anyone else, perhaps better. However, this may be difficult for you, because you are somewhat impulsive and quite restless. You find it almost impossible to sit still for very long. You are always eager for change and new experiences, even when you are not ready for them yet. The only way to get over this is through self-discipline.
You have a great need for personal freedom also. But while you are young, you may not be very responsible about the way you use your freedom. You may take too many liberties or even interfere with other people’s freedom. Here again the problem is rashness and lack of self-control.
Mars Inconjunct Pluto
You have a strong will and always want to have your own way. But very often it seems as if tremendous forces are working to prevent you from getting what you want. If you have this problem, it is because of the way you go about trying to achieve your ends. If you put too much force into your desire to get something, you may unknowingly alienate people because your aggressive manner shows that you will let nothing stop you from getting what you want. Even if that isn’t the way you really feel about it, you should recognize that your forcefulness creates this impression.
On the other hand, this aspect sometimes means that you are the victim of such energies in someone else, that you always seem to attract forceful persons who give you a hard time. Either they never let you have your own way, or they may be rather brutal, physically and psychologically. Learn to recognize such persons in advance and avoid them. Also think about why you are attracted to them, since in fact you may be quite fascinated by their forcefulness.
As certain times in your life, when there are great changes taking place within you and in your environment, you will have to work very hard to make your affairs turn out right. There is nothing to be done at those times except do the work that must be done. Fortunately you have plenty of energy and enough endurance to pull through anything that you will encounter in life. You are basically tough and persistent. These changes are an integral part of your growth, and even if everything seems to go wrong they are necessary to your full development.
Conclusion
So, he was the power in front of the throne of France. That is an interesting perspective of the man. His highest honour was to be included on the coinage of the time.
This image is our usual way of making fun of ourselves. But this year due to the ‘discovery’ of unmarked graves at residential schools across Canada, our national celebrations have been toned down, and we are being schooled in a collective sense of guilt for what was done to the indigenous children starting over 125 years ago. The last residential school was closed, I believe, in 1997.
Over the course of the system’s more than hundred-year existence, around 150,000 children were placed in residential schools nationally. By the 1930s about 30 percent of Indigenous children were believed to be attending residential schools. The number of school-related deaths remains unknown due to incomplete records. Estimates range from 3,200 to over 30,000
This excerpt is part of a series of articles relating to genocide. Now do I have your attention?
Whenever one race (or nation) wants to eradicate another race (or nation), the term genocide is an accurate reflection of what goes on. What makes this worse is that it was done under the guise of ‘helping’ the children get on in their future lives. And even worse than that, it was administered by the Canadian churches, including the Roman Catholic Church. So, note, this is not just a Catholic problem, yet all the other church leaders have asked for forgiveness of the First Nations people, but not the Pope, yet. But, obviously, he will, in time, when it works to the Roman Church’s benefit (like on a papal visit to Canada sometime next year).
This becomes, for me, a ‘told you so’ moment, because as one of the original coureurs des bois. I didn’t want the priests from France interfering with the native culture, since I saw that the First Nations were perfect the way they were. But, no, the authorities thought they were ‘savages’ that needed to be saved from the eternal fires of Hell. So, they tried scaring them into converting to Christian beliefs by painting a picture of torment and pain. Not the right way, in my opinion. The First Nations people did not like the idea that they would be separated from this ancestors, for all eternity. So most rejected the Jesuit and Recollet crusades. The ones that did convert were wiped out in the Indian Wars between the Huron and Iroquois. So sad.
All month long, in June, I’ve been contemplating the past. Now, the world and his uncle are catching up to think about what was done in our Canadian society’s name.
Watching the CBC’s “Nature of Things” last night, I was amazed at the healing improvements for most of the people featured in the program. But it’s not a new idea, I’ve even hinted at it before, here.
The two hemispheres of the brain control our ‘normal’ split between ‘right’ and ‘left’, analytical and artistic, thinking and feeling.
So, just to add a little bit of controversy to this concept, think ‘LGBTQ2S+’ and see what that can mean during these final days in Pride Month 2021.
