It Was Too Cloudy, Today

This is all we saw of the solar eclipse (@ 90%) about 20 minutes before totality in our region.

I guess I’m not supposed to see one without cloud cover. Oh, well.

How Can You Tell the ‘Good Ones’ from the ‘Bad Ones’?

As you may remember, I was a ‘card-carrying’ Raelian in the early 1980’s. The above symbol was their badge of honour. Rael used to wear a metal one as a medallion. These days the swastika has morphed into a pinwheel. The early symbolism was a hint that the god Yahweh was also connected to Hinduism. Swastika is from a Sanskrit word that means “conducive to well-being”. It was the Nazis that turned this symbol into one that wasn’t conducive to well-being. It became a symbol of evil.

Police Scotland was last night embroiled in an extraordinary hate crime row amid claims a woman who reported an anti-Semitic Facebook post ended up being quizzed about her own ethnicity.

A former police officer reported the post, which depicts a Nazi swastika within a Star of David, to the force but claims she was told no charges would be brought because she is not herself Jewish.

The post, made by a relative of an SNP minister we have chosen not to name, is captioned ‘Nazism = Zionism’.

Talk about recycling old news with a new spin on it. That’s why it’s important to research everything.

Social Media Images that Make Us Go “Ahh”

A Duckling and a Kitten as Friends

Admittedly, this pair have shown up on YouTube many, many times. But it isn’t something spontaneous.

It seems to me that these two have been placed in these awkward situations and then videotaped.

Eventually, with such juxtapositions, the little guys will just relax and go to sleep. Their owner is nearby and if anything nasty happened to either of them, the situation would be resolved quickly.

But when does it end: once they have over a million followers and a billion views? The cat must be used to ducklings by now. But it isn’t natural, and the whole purpose of these images is to soften our hard hearts. What harm could it do? Seemingly, none, unless of course you try to do it yourself for social media and one of them turns on the other. Then, all hell might break loose.

Sometimes, Truth is Stranger Than Fiction

kinopoisk.ru

The Great Escape (March 24, 1944)

We all presume that Hollywood films are the product of someone’s imagination. Literally, how could it be true? Were the Germans the best at keeping their prisoners-of-war encamped? Well, yes and no.

The 1963 version was superseded by the 1988 version, called The Great Escape II: The Untold Story.

But the truth can be seen in the astrology chart for the exact moment the breakout occurred: 10:30 pm.

There are three inconjuncts and they involved the Ascendant and Midheaven. In other words, the timing had to be exact.

Moon Inconjunct Midheaven

With this aspect you must learn to make your emotional needs and desires for pleasure fit in with your growth and development in the world. It is possible that these problems could make it difficult for you to choose a profession or a course that would give your life a sense of purpose. Or you may be unable to follow one path consistently. In other worlds, your emotional needs may be in conflict with your long-range goals. You may know what you have to do, but not feel much like doing it. Or your feelings may actually color your perception so much that you really do not see what has to be done.

(It would have taken place during a new moon, so light would have been nonexistent.)

Mercury Inconjunct Midheaven

It is very important that you develop your mind and your powers of thought, so that you can use them to attain whatever objectives you set for yourself. However, before you can accomplish this, you may have to solve certain problems. You may feel that there is a tension between your natural spontaneous view and what is taught by your parents and other adults. When you are older you may express this tension by making indiscreet remarks that totally get in the way of your objectives.

(More than half of the soldiers who escaped were shot dead, without legal justification.)

Saturn Inconjunct Ascendant

With this aspect you probably have a rather serious attitude toward life and other people. It may be quite difficult for you to simply go out and have a good time. You want to be serious and to spend all your time performing significant tasks. This attitude may have developed because you were discouraged from enjoying yourself when you were younger. You may have been made to feel that only work is important, that play serves no useful purpose.

(This is also indicative of being in a PoW camp, with no means of escape, a very serious situation.)

Perhaps, reading the book would have been a more accurate depiction of what happened leading up to that day, and its aftermath.

At any rate, this is another example of what astrology can show us, behind the scenes.

The Two World Leaders with Five Letters in Their Names

Is This the Unholy Alliance Spoken of in an End of the Age Prophecy?

I’ve already written about Joseph Smith, here. So, now I want to turn my attention to his successor.

Brigham Young (June 1, 1801 – August 29, 1877)

The issue of polygamy became a basic tenant of Mormonism under his leadership. Smith and his wife were opposed to the idea, because it undercut their union, especially after Smith’s untimely death @ 38.

A polygamist, Young had at least 56 wives and 57 children.

Wikipedia

Now, does that seem a little excessive to you?

When Ellie Dreams Down Under first discussed this prophecy pamphlet about two world leaders with five letters in their names, my mind immediately thought of the leadership of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Unfortunately, the pamphlet doesn’t seem to exist anymore, so we have no idea if it came from the Mormons or not. But it wouldn’t surprise me if someone in the organization came across something that was written in the early 1800’s that was critical of the Smith/Young alliance. But, as any well-meaning pamphleteer would do, they didn’t name the individuals, but only hinted at them.

However, after 150 years, the original fight was forgotten, and the modern person could be excused for thinking this had to do with the famous “End Times”. That’s the way prophecy is set into the future, not realizing that the events have already passed.

Enough said?

When a Song About a Solar Eclipse Made Him Famous

Solar Eclipse (July 10, 1972)

For years, people speculated that the song “You’re So Vain” by Carly Simon was written about Warren Beatty. What if there was a way to prove it? (I know, I know that Carly has admitted after all this time that it was true, but had I done the detective work, I could have taken the mystery out of the story.)

Well I hear you went up to Saratoga
And your horse naturally won
Then you flew your Lear jet up to Nova Scotia
To see the total eclipse of the sun

Carly Simon (November 8, 1972)

Warren Beatty (March 30, 1937)

Here’s his birth chart, as listed on my Kepler 8.0 program:

I won’t delineate the aspects, except to say that Neptune in the 12th House speaks of his love of mystery (and of his being an actor). There are two inconjuncts, one linking Mercury with Neptune, and the other linking Venus with Mars. Hmm.

When I combine Beatty’s chart with the exact moment of the solar eclipse over Nova Scotia, we get this:

Can you see why this reveals who the mystery man truly was?

He has even been photographed with that famous scarf..

You cannot underestimate the value of a song which permanently places someone in the mindset of its listeners.

.

You probably knew this song was about you, Warren Beatty.

Together They Created Desilu Studios in 1950

Lucy and Desi (2022)

We watched this documentary, last night. Their production company, Desilu, was a very successful collaboration, until it wasn’t. At the same time, their marriage followed a similar path.

But what about these two individuals, separately?

Lucille Ball (August 6, 1911 – April 26, 1989)

I’m not sure how reliable this chart is, because it was already on my Kepler 8.0 program. The 1st House (of Personality) contains the Moon. In fact, the Ascendant and Uranus are also in Capricorn, which I’ve come to understand as an enterprising go-getter. So, the bonus is the popularity of the Moon which was its own reward for Lucy’s hard work. There is one inconjunct.

Uranus Inconjunct Pluto (1892-1894 and 1911-1912)

This aspect indicates changes in the world of the people who were born at these times, changes that were difficult to understand because they were very revolutionary but subtle in many ways. The people born during the first period experienced the consequences of these changes through having to fight in the First World War. The second group reached maturity at the time of the Great Depression. Both the First World War and the the Depression were expressions of the breakdown of the nineteen-century world order that was dominated by Western Europe.

Desi Arnaz (Sr.) (March 2, 1917 – December 2, 1986)

Again, I cannot vouch for the accuracy of his birth time, but Desi seems to have that same 1st House position for the Moon, which echoes Lucy’s popularity. (And in the early 1950’s, they were the most popular couple on television.) Desi’s Pluto is also conjunct his Ascendant @ 2° Cancer, which may have been the driver of his ambitions, as well as his obsessions. He says in the documentary that he could never do anything in moderation. This could be the same effect of his Sun/Mars conjunction @ 11° Pisces. But both these ‘drivers’ are in water signs, so that makes it harder to accomplish anything. He needed Lucy (and his assessment of their success was that she was 90% of the reason, everyone else 10%.) In truth, they were opposites.

Their Synastry

I suspect these two had been together in a past life: Lucy’s North Node is within 2° of Desi’s Jupiter. And Desi’s South Node is within 5° of Lucy’s Neptune (which is also conjunct Desi’s Saturn). I could almost see her role as Jester to his King. Their Moons are opposite each other’s.

Lucie Arnaz was at her father’s side while he lay dying. She called her mom and said that if there was anything she wanted to say, she should do it now. Lucy said, “I love you” five times. Desi replied, “I love you, too.” Then he slipped into a coma for 24 hours, dying at 12:05 am on December 2nd, 1986. Lucie later realized that her parents last spoke on November 30th, the anniversary of their wedding.

Strangely, we also know exactly when Lucille Ball died: 5:47 am, April 26th, 1989.

Nothing more needs to be said.

My Personal Take on Next Monday’s Celestial Event

Solar Eclipse (April 8, 2024)

It’s easy to look at public figures and see what effect the solar eclipse will have on them. It’s quite another thing to look at myself. Everyone will be affected, but how will it affect me?

Previously, I tracked how the North and South Nodes will return to my natal positions of them on July 23, 2024 @ 6:00 pm local time. Between the solar eclipse and that date, the Nodes will slowly move backwards from 15° Aries. But the trigger for a profound change may be the transiting Ascendant/Part of Fortune conjunction @ 16° Leo hitting my natal Pluto opposition Jupiter. But what does it mean?

Hmm.

Factual Clarification or Media Manipulation?

Seven World Central Kitchen Volunteers Killed in Gaza (April 2, 2024)

Honestly, I dislike being fooled. If an image is being shown around the world of a war in Gaza atrocity, I would prefer the unvarnished truth. It was the use of the slightly charred WCK decals that made me think, “They’ve been placed there in the middle of the destruction to ensure no one misses the point.” Was that even necessary? Did someone think it would be too oblique/obscure for the general public?

EDITORS NOTE: Graphic content / People gather around the carcass of a car used by US-based aid group World Central Kitchen, that was hit by an Israeli strike the previous day in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip on April 2, 2024, amid the ongoing battles between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas. The international food aid charity said on April 2 it was pausing its Gaza aid operations after seven of its staff were killed in a “targeted Israeli strike” as they unloaded desperately needed food aid delivered by sea from Cyprus. (Photo by AFP) (Photo by -/AFP via Getty Images)

This image is intact. Those decals are legitimate. But the totally burned out vehicle in the next picture has no visible decals.

Now compare this image to the next one:

Those decals have been added. Do you see what I mean?

Propaganda is a dangerous thing. Manipulation is the point of the exercise. War is hell.

Rest in Peace.

Remember What I Said About Cycles Repeating?

Redeeming Love (2022)

A family member recommended this film on Netflix. We watched it last night. There is no more a depressing story than that of a prostitute in goldrush California times. As a film, it takes its time to tell the tale of her degradation and eventual redemption, but it’s not much fun to watch.

When I started researching the plot, I found out rather quickly that the story is based on Hosea and his wife Gomer. (I should have noticed that the man’s name was Michael Hosea: that would have given me a clue, or two.) His wife, whom he redeemed from a house of prostitution, was called “Angel” and she had kept hidden her true name, Sarah. She left him twice, thinking that she wasn’t worthy of his love and that she could never give him children. Michael’s brother-in-law, Paul, finds her in San Francisco, after three years, and persuades her to return to Michael, in other words, to ‘come home.’

The echo of those times to now seems significant, doesn’t it?

Where “Angel” had been for the three years is as broad a hint as you can get in a film like this: San Francisco’s Magdalen Asylum. Oh-ho, says I, Jesus and Mary Magdalene! The Gospel story of him forgiving her is based on the Old Testament story of Hosea and Gomer. Who would’ve thought it?
