I Told You that We were Programmed, too

Lies My Mother Told Me

This looks like I’m going for the humour of the situation, but, instead, I’m trying to demonstrate how simple it was for you to buy into a long tradition of your ‘mother’s wise words’.

Take health issues, for example: your mother would have warned you that going outside without a coat meant that you would catch a cold…

I guess this line of thinking has been prompted by Phineas Quimby‘s thinking in the mid-19th century.

Why we accept this programming is that it’s coming to us from a trusted source, mother. But we, as children, didn’t have the critical faculties to reason whether what she said was true or not. And by the time we’d become adults, and/or had children of our own, we perpetuated the myths without thinking about what we were doing. And so it has been, since time immemorial.

By the time we die, these lies are exposed as just what they truly are: humbugs.

Bah, humbug!

But by then, it’s too late…

A Past Master at Psychological Intimidation

“Putin Purposely Coughed”

Vladimir Putin thinks that he can get away with anything, and in his own country, Russia, that’s true. But then he takes his ‘magic trick’ show on the road, when dealing face-to-face with other world leaders, and he uses any method available to him to gain an advantage.

The ‘black dog’ trick: making Angela Merkel uncomfortable (knowing that she’d been attacked by a dog and they frighten her).

*Cough, cough* ‘don’t mind my cold’ trick with Trump (knowing that Trump is a germaphobe). Imagine if they’d met after COVID-19 and not before.

Putin is insecure: he has to find a way to get an advantage over others.

Otherwise, he’ll lose, and he never wants to lose.

Was He a Fantasist or an Isolated Child?

Kaspar Hauser (April 30, 1812 – December 17, 1833)

Believe it or not, I had never heard of this individual until I came across his name in Phineas Quimby’s book. His citing of Hauser as an example of an individual who could be made to be sick just by smelling odours seemed a little too improbable, so I had to read about him for myself.

Here’s what Quimby wrote:

Now the case of the boy, Caspar Hauser, shows that odors, which man in his ordinary senses cannot detect by the slightest effect, would make him vomit. The least wine or liquor put into water would throw him into convulsions and make his head ache. When meat was offered him, on putting it into his mouth, it produced convulsions. The odor of flowers affected him. The footsteps of persons at a distance were easily detected one from another. His sight was also so sensitive that he could see when it was so dark that others could not see. All this effect on the boy was proved. Now see the effect of these odors on the boy, making him sick, throwing him into convulsions and giving him dreams. Now after being taught, hear his story. He says that while confined in his cell or cave, he never dreamed and never was sick and he lived on bread and water, all going to prove that the elements of disease are in the world. And if the world had been a cave or prison and man was as ignorant as the boy, Caspar Hauser, disease as we have it would never have come. For bread and water he became accustomed to and the other odors would have affected us, but the name disease would never have been known. Now these odors that make all the disease that flesh is heir to–where did they come from and how came they in the world? I have said these odors affected this boy but only temporarily. The odor of a thing that could not be detected by his friend was very disagreeable to him. Now no one will say that the odor of a flower would give a person the typhoid fever or even any fever, for all the medical men recommend the open air and green fields to the sick. So all those things that we as individuals believe are healthy brought on all his trouble and misery. So we must look for disease from some other source.

Here’s what Wikipedia says about Kaspar:

‘At first, it was assumed that Hauser was a half-wild child from the forests. During the course of many conversations with Mayor Binder, Hauser told a different version of his past life, which he later wrote down in more detail. According to the story, Hauser had as long as he could remember spent his life in solitary confinement in a darkened cell. He gave the cell’s dimensions as approximately two metres long, one metre wide and one and a half high, with only a straw bed to sleep on and, for toys, two horses and a dog carved out of wood.

‘Hauser claimed that he found rye bread and water next to his bed each morning. At times, the water would taste bitter and drinking it would cause him to sleep more deeply than usual. On such occasions, upon awakening, his straw had been changed and his hair and nails cut. Hauser claimed that the first human being he had ever met was a man who visited him not long before his release. The man took great care not to reveal his face to him. This man taught him to write his own name by leading his hand. After learning to stand and walk, Hauser was brought to Nuremberg. The stranger allegedly taught him to say the phrase “I want to be a cavalryman, as my father was” (in Old Bavarian dialect), but Hauser claimed that he did not understand what the words meant.

‘This tale aroused great curiosity and made Hauser an object of international attention. Rumours arose that he was of princely parentage, possibly of Baden origin, but there were also allegations that he was an impostor.’

(Do you see where I’m going with this?)

We have to take for granted that the birth date is correct, but we have no information as to where, or what time, he was born. That puts this chart on very shaky foundations. But I have been inspired to do it, so I randomized the time and I placed his birth at the city he first appeared, years later.

That fairly wide conjunction between his Moon and Neptune in Sagittarius is quite interesting. That means that if he were born anytime on that day before 9:30 am, the Moon would be even closer to Neptune, and the effect may have been greater.

Moon Conjunct Neptune

This aspect indicates that you are very sensitive and that you pick up feelings from the people around you very easily. The danger is that many of these feelings will be difficult to cope with; they may make you afraid of the world and reluctant to go out into it, as you must do when you are older. As a result, you prefer to be alone with your thoughts and let your fancies wander wherever they want to go. When you are older, this may help you use your imagination very creatively, but it won’t help you work out your everyday problems. You must learn to stand on your own and not depend upon others. You also have to learn that you are worth as much as anyone else, for you may tend to withdraw when someone acts aggressive. But the adults who help you learn these lessons must be gentle and understanding. Otherwise you will shrink back into yourself. Above all, you must not be made to feel incompetent or inadequate, or you will think of yourself as a loser all your life.

But it is clear that this aspect is the strong motivation behind much of his behaviour.

His Death may have been Self-Inflicted

Again, back to Wikipedia:

‘Five days later, on 14 December 1833, Hauser came home with a deep wound in his left breast. By his account, he had been lured to the Ansbach Court Garden, where a stranger stabbed him while giving him a bag. When policeman Herrlein searched the Court Garden, he found a small violet purse containing a pencilled note in Spiegelschrift (mirror writing). The message read, in German:

“Hauser will be able to tell you quite precisely how I look and from where I am. To save Hauser the effort, I want to tell you myself from where I come _ _ . I come from from _ _ _ the Bavarian border _ _ On the river _ _ _ _ _ I will even tell you the name: M. L. Ö.”

‘Hauser died of the wound on 17 December 1833.

‘Inconsistencies in Hauser’s account led the Ansbach court of enquiry to suspect that he had stabbed himself and then invented a tale about being attacked. The note in the purse that was found in the Court Garden contained a spelling error and a grammatical error, both of which were typical for Hauser, who, on his deathbed, muttered incoherently about “writing with pencil”. Although Hauser was eager that the purse be found, he did not ask for its contents. The note itself was folded into a specific triangular form, in the way in which Hauser would fold his letters, according to Mrs. Meyer. Forensic examiners agreed that the wound might indeed be self-inflicted. Many authors believe that he had wounded himself in a bid to revive public interest in his story and to persuade Stanhope to fulfill his promise to take him to England, but that he had injured himself more deeply than planned.’

(Oops.)

As I usually do when the time of death is not given, I set the clock for noon. This allows me to see what energies were operating during the day. There is one opposition which seems to indicate what was happening to Kaspar on that day:

Saturn Opposition Pluto

The main problem signified by this aspect is in your relationships with other people or with external circumstances. You may feel that the external world demands that you change when you do not want to change, or that it forces you to stay where you are when you do want to change. Because of this feeling, you may become antagonistic toward others or toward the world in general, because it does not seem to want to let you be yourself. You may adopt a cold or hostile attitude toward others.

Some people with this aspect feel that the only solution is to try to control the world, or at least their piece of it, and to be dominant. If this feeling gets too strong, you won’t let anything stop you in your pursuit of power or authority. However, in the process you could set in motion such opposition from others that you would not stand a chance of success.

Now look at the two charts together:

The Mercury/Mars conjunction of his ‘fatal’ chart is conjunct his natal Neptune. That’s the ‘proof’ of his motivation for self-harm. He’d hoped to “revive public interest in his story and to persuade Stanhope to fulfill his promise to take him to England.” The Sun transiting his natal Moon supports this. And ‘fatal’ Neptune on the natal Descendant is the final echo. Are we clear, here?

Conclusion

Why have I gone to such pains to illustrate this young man’s story? To show that everyone’s life story is important. The more we know, the better we understand human motivation.

Besides, he was an artist, too.

September 27, 2021: Self-Doubt

The fluidity of time brings its own reward.

You can adjust the moment to bring action into play. It requires trust that all is appropriate in the greater scheme of things and that everything will be accomplished. There is a plan that creates an opportunity for all things to be seen and experienced.

The questions often asked are:

“Have I done everything I came here to do?”

”Have I failed in some way?”

”What is my purpose, why was I born?”

“What is the point of life itself? Is it just to be born, grow, reproduce and die?”

“Has my life any real significance?”

At times of struggle, just to survive is too much…

(and I feel I have made decisions which have been the wrong ones and hurt others.)

Thoughts like these come from the emotional field which puts a judgement on self. The plant and animal kingdoms do not analyse their existence, but express themselves in the diversity of their nature, living in the time allotted to them. The sheer celebration of who and what they are is simplicity itself.

Mind analyses everything, it frets and worries.

There is a season for everything, and the development of inner stillness, while coping with the demands made of you, is the way to flow with time.

September 26, 2021: The Plan

When will you be able to feel with certainty that you are aligned with the new incoming energies?

Expectation serves no purpose. The changes will be subtle because a rapid integration would be a shock to the system.

Seeing pictures in your mind more sharply does give a clue, as does an increase in sensitivity when thinking about a problem, or situation, which requires greater clarity for your answer. This is due to the growing alignment of the spiritual realm. A greater knowledge and awareness will be yours with less fear about the future.

There is a lot of fear at present which accounts for the irrationality of decisions being made. In calmness, there is no fear, but trust that all is well and in accordance with The Plan. Mankind has come to the end of one phase and is making ready to start a new paradigm. The shift in energies is causing the disruptions seen around the world, creating irrational behaviour in those who are not coping with the increases in energetic frequency. They have a desperate need to hold onto the old ways and are causing fear with those unwilling to face the changes that are to come.

September 25, 2021: New Growth

In the heat of the moment brings the burn of new inspiration.

With it comes growth at an escalated pace and vibrancy. Checks and balances bring proportionality to the forward progress. Due to the burning away of the old thinking, the shoots of the new growth vibrate with the energy of birth. After a forest fire, among the ashes of the old you see the spikes of green shoots standing out in contrast, and hope and trust in rebirth develop with the awareness that this is real.

Into the present chaos and madness, which seems to dominate news reports, there is an undercurrent of new growth showing itself gently and quietly, but will grow exponentially during the coming months.

Your inner peace and calmness through the day radiates out. This facilitates the new thought processes, like a beacon on a dark night illuminating the surrounding darkness. It works on an energetic level. As you move around, that light is carried, touching others, even though you do not realise it at the time. No words are needed, your calmness generates light.

Doing Time on Planet Earth

The Shawshank Redemption (1994)

The analysis of this film has probably been done to death, but it occurred to me during the night that it’s an excellent metaphor of life on earth, spiritually. Here is the plot as reported on Wikipedia.

‘In 1947 Portland, Maine, banker Andy Dufresne is convicted of murdering his wife and her lover and is sentenced to two consecutive life sentences at the Shawshank State Prison. He is befriended by Ellis “Red” Redding, an inmate and prison contraband smuggler serving a life sentence. Red procures a rock hammer and a large poster of Rita Hayworth for Andy. Assigned to work in the prison laundry, Andy is frequently sexually assaulted by “the Sisters” and their leader, Bogs.

‘In 1949, Andy overhears the captain of the guards, Byron Hadley, complaining about being taxed on an inheritance and offers to help him shelter the money legally. After an assault by the Sisters nearly kills Andy, Hadley beats and cripples Bogs, who is subsequently transferred to another prison. Andy is not attacked again. Warden Samuel Norton meets Andy and reassigns him to the prison library to assist elderly inmate Brooks Hatlen, a front to allow Andy to manage financial matters for other prison staff, guards from other prisons, and the warden himself. Andy begins writing weekly letters to the state legislature requesting funds to improve the prison’s decaying library.

‘Brooks is paroled in 1954 after serving 50 years, but he cannot adjust to the outside world and eventually hangs himself. The legislature sends a library donation that includes a recording of The Marriage of Figaro; Andy plays an excerpt over the public address system and is punished with solitary confinement. After his release from solitary, Andy explains that hope is what gets him through his time, a concept that Red dismisses. In 1963, Norton begins exploiting prison labor for public works, profiting by undercutting skilled labor costs and receiving bribes. Andy launders the money using the alias “Randall Stephens”.

‘Tommy Williams is incarcerated for burglary in 1965. Andy and Red befriend him, and Andy helps him pass his General Educational Development (GED) exam. A year later, Tommy reveals to Red and Andy that his cellmate at another prison had claimed responsibility for the murders for which Andy was convicted. Andy approaches Norton with this information, but Norton refuses to listen, and when Andy mentions the money laundering, Norton sends him back to solitary confinement. Norton has Hadley murder Tommy under the guise of an escape attempt. Andy attempts to discontinue the laundering, but relents after Norton threatens to destroy the library, remove Andy’s protection from the guards, and move him to worse conditions. Andy is released from solitary confinement after two months, and he tells a skeptical Red that he dreams of living in Zihuatanejo, a Mexican coastal town. Andy also tells him of a specific hayfield near Buxton, asking Red—once he is released—to retrieve a package that Andy buried there. Red worries about Andy’s well-being, especially when he learns Andy asked a fellow inmate for 6 ft (1.8 m) of rope.

‘At the next day’s roll call, the guards find Andy’s cell empty. An irate Norton throws a rock at a poster of Raquel Welch hanging on the cell wall, revealing a tunnel that Andy dug with his rock hammer over the past 19 years. The previous night, Andy used the rope to escape through the tunnel and prison sewage pipe, taking Norton’s suit, shoes, and ledger, containing proof of the money laundering. While guards search for him, Andy poses as Randall Stephens, withdraws over $370,000 (equivalent to $2.95 million in 2020) of the laundered money from several banks, and mails the ledger and other evidence of the corruption and murders at Shawshank to a local newspaper. State police arrive at Shawshank and take Hadley into custody, while Norton commits suicide to avoid arrest.

‘The following year, Red is finally paroled after serving 40 years. He struggles to adapt to life outside prison and fears that he never will. Remembering his promise to Andy, he visits Buxton and finds a cache containing money and a letter asking him to come to Zihuatanejo. Red violates his parole by traveling to Fort Hancock, Texas, and crossing the border into Mexico, admitting that he finally feels hope. He finds Andy on a beach in Zihuatanejo, and the two reunited friends happily embrace.’

Warden Samuel Norton

Now, substitute Satan for Norton, and Any Man for Andy, and the whole Shawshank (Life on Earth) scenario begins to make sense. We’re all just doing hard time.

Even the subtitles on the poster say it all:

Fear can hold you prisoner.

Hope can set you free.

Amen.

New Channelling through Fenella Rundell (VIII)

September 23, 2021: Climate Change

Enlightenment will not come in a way you might expect.

The journey of the soul towards growth is in a different dimension to the human form you inhabit at present. Everyone is feeling a diminution of interests and urges that they have carried through this life, and a period of quiet adjustment follows for a period of time. You will still continue to see and hear all the chaos around and wonder at the rationale of many in the public eye and positions of authority, wondering how rational decisions are made. You are slowly separating from their reality, yet still need to play your part in the scene, assisting in the stabilization of the energies. That is why it is preferable for you to be calm and peaceful in daily living, no matter what is happening in the world.

The movement of weather and climate is forcing re-evaluation. There is a power, that cannot be controlled and is inevitable, to facilitate the changes. This will continue for awhile but all will eventually settle down to a new rhythm. There will be many who can no longer work with the new energies and will leave the planet. Those who try to hold onto the old paradigms cannot stay. There is much work to be done, the old ways no longer work. By learning to trust your intuition you will know how to play your part.
