Before William Blake had died, a new ‘branch’ of my spiritual tree was growing, which then confuses the traditional understanding of reincarnation. Phineas Quimby was born.
Quite rightly, these two are connected, but is it still reincarnation, or something else? And, maybe, the splitting off into a secondary direction was a response to the Universe’s need for more bodies to be inhabited as the population began to grow exponentially.
Now, we’re back into familiar territory: the progression from one spiritual individual to another proceeds as it “should”. And then if you look at the three birth charts together, it makes sense.
But, again, this is not a ‘slam dunk’. It takes the full picture, which includes me, to make sense of it all.
That alignment of energies along 15° to 17° Leo seems especially strong, all of which are opposite my Sun/Jupiter conjunction in Aquarius. Blake’s Saturn @ 16° 48′ Aquarius is here, too. More rays of sunshine, eh?
In the older traditions, reincarnation is a progressive, linear development of an individual soul.
And, until recently, I would have totally agreed with that premise. In truth, I’ve only had one life that I could count as ‘mine’: Pierre-Esprit Radisson. So for this exercise, I am going to link three lives together with his in the middle: Étienne Brûlé, Radisson, and William Blake.
Because Étienne Brûlé’s death date is unknown, we cannot totally rely upon the connections with Radisson’s birth chart, but, even so, there would seem to be significant links, with both Brûlé’s birth and death charts.
William Blake’s birth chart shows significant connections with both Radisson’s birth and death charts, but it doesn’t look like ‘proof’ until you put all three birth charts together.
You can see that not everything is written in black and white, but with varying shades of grey.
Conclusion
I am comfortable enough to say that these three lives are connected, through me.
Like rays of sunshine, the light of our collective soul shines out into the world.
There I was, having a quiet afternoon nap, when this question crossed my mind. Could it be possible? Could my dad have come back as my son’s only son? Holy Cow, Batman!
This seems impossible, but their birth charts, in particular, are very well connected. Jim’s North Node is conjunct Avery’s Jupiter; their birth Ascendants are about 1° apart in Gemini; Jim’s ‘fatal’ Saturn is conjunct Avery’s Pluto in Sagittarius, while Jim’s ‘natal’ South Node is conjunct Avery’s Mars in Sagittarius; Jim’s natal Mars/Saturn conjunction @ 16° Aries is conjunct Avery’s Venus; and Avery’s South Node is halfway between Jim’s natal Sun and Uranus in Capricorn. And the one that shows me their strongest tie: their natal Midheavens are (almost) exactly conjunct @ 21° Aquarius, where Jim’s natal Mercury sits, conjunct with Avery’s Uranus.
I’m not going to publish Avery’s full name here, but I will share a photo of him from 2015-16:
Do you see the similarity? (And before you say, “Well, they came from the same gene pool, didn’t they?” please consider that Avery was born before I even knew that my father had died. And it had never occurred to me to compare their charts until today.) None of the rest of us in the intervening lives (me, and my son, Derek) look like this. And my grandson is sooo smart.
(The irony is that my mother and father never got together during my lifetime, and yet they came back as my grandchildren … you cannot make this sh*t up.)
These questions seem the same, but are subtly different: I’m asking ‘can we?’ while Dr. Dyer is wondering ‘could we?’ And the term ‘with’ implies everyone being connected to everyone else in the family from previous lives together. I’m suggesting a new wrinkle in time: coming back to continue a family line, either as a help to one of the family members, or as a prompt for my thinking…
You can read about one such story from Dr. Dyer’s book Memories From Heavenhere. It seems to echo my own feelings of what happened in my family.
After My Granddaughter was Born:
My sister, Anne, and I speculated on whether my (unnamed) granddaughter was actually our mother reborn. You see, we both ‘felt’ it to be true, although, at the time, we had no way to prove it. But the feeling stuck, although we never spoke of it again.
For the past few years, I’ve been researching/experimenting with birth and death charts to see if anything in them can demonstrate connections of a reincarnational kind. I’ve been overwhelmed with the ‘proof’ lately, so I think the penny finally dropped yesterday. I decided to compare/combine my mother’s charts with my granddaughter’s birth chart. Here they are:
Those with eyes that see can discern the apparent patterns between them. It is not a ‘slam dunk’ but it’s spinning around the rim of the hoop. Especially significant is the North Node of my mother’s natal chart linking her ‘fatal’ Moon with my granddaughter’s Moon in Virgo. And my mother’s natal South Node is conjunct my granddaughter’s Uranus in Pisces (“especially since Uranus can have ties to past life memory”). So, just to make sure that I got that point, my granddaughter’s South Node is conjunct my mother’s natal Neptune @ 17° Leo. My mother’s volatile ‘natal’ Moon/Pluto conjunction in Cancer is conjunct her own ‘fatal’ Part of Fortune and my granddaughter’s PoF. And finally, my mother’s ‘fatal’ Saturn is conjunct my granddaughter’s Ascendant @ 29° Gemini.
That’s enough ‘proof’, I think.
You may be wondering why my granddaughter is unnamed here. When she was adopted into a different branch of our family tree, I was forbidden to talk about her publicly, lest my daughter Amy should try to contact her. Unfortunately, this is a big deal in our family, effectively dividing it in two. Up until now, this has been painful, especially for me. But this ‘revelation’ of my mother’s continued presence in the family is already healing the wounds.
Phineas Parkhurst Quimby (February 16, 1802 – January 16, 1866)
Okay. Here we go again. I’m beginning to think that this line of thought will never end, but that is the nature of life, isn’t it? Phineas Quimby used mesmerism to affect positive change in the lives of his clients. (Now, where have I heard of that before?)
Barry Morton, a scholar of faith healing, has said that Quimby’s constant practice of his mind cure method led him to make important discoveries related to curing psychosomatic illnesses. Although Quimby did not publish his findings, he trained many others in his methods. In effect, he started a “gnostic” healing tradition. Some of his methods were adopted by John Alexander Dowie, who revolutionized Christian faith healing in the 1880s.

Do you see where I’m going with this?
Several astrology sites cite this birth time, although they rate is as “C”, meaning that they aren’t sure of its accuracy. For our purposes, I will go along with 11:33 pm, mainly because it allows Neptune to rest in his 1st House (of personality). There are two inconjuncts.
Moon Inconjunct Mars
Until you learn to handle your feelings, you are likely to get angry easily, have temper tantrums and be touchy about what is yours and what is not. You may feel you have to defend yourself against imagined threats. The problem here is that you are likely to become too emotionally involved with ideas, opinions or even objects without knowing it until someone threatens them. Then you react as if you were being personally threatened or attacked. You have to realize that it is possible to change your opinions and attitudes without damaging your owrth as a person.
Your relationship with your mother is especially important. If you and she don’t get along in some important way, you will have similar problems with other women when you get older. […] You are likely to be very aggressive and unpleasant when you are emotionally upset.
However, if you have a good relationship with your mother, you will develop self-confidence and the ability to stand up for your rights against any obstacle. You will be courageous, and your strength will inspire others to follow where you lead. You will be independent and able to go your own way, even if others do not choose to follow. But this will happen only if you have healthy emotional experiences as a child.
Uranus Inconjunct Pluto
This aspect indicates changes in the world of the people who were born at this time, changes that were difficult to understand because they were very revolutionary but subtle in many ways.
The fact that Quimby felt that he cured himself of consumption (TB) in his youth is the basis for his decision to help others with their ailments. His introduction to hypnosis happened in his early 30’s, a time when the Neptune energy of his 1st House would have come to fruition in the 7th House (of relationships).
Mary Baker Eddy, the founder of Christian Science, was a patient of Quimby’s for a short time. Later, claims were made that she was at least partially inspired by Quimby in her theology. However, both Quimby’s son and Christian Scientists have pointed out major differences between Quimbyism and Christian Science. Biographer Gillian Gill and others agreed, pointing out that because of its theism, Christian Science differs considerably from the teachings of Quimby, who did not base his work in religion.
I asked my daughter, Rosanna, what she thought of yesterday’s post about Christian Science, hoping that she might give me a clue as to whom Eddy reincarnated as in our family. Her instant response was “Gran’mere.”
I’d never thought to include her in my research (which just goes to show you how I can be blind to obvious solutions). Compare the above image with this one of my Mom.

The way she holds her mouth closed is similar to Eddy’s smile. But, looks alone do not ‘prove’ any connection. There has to be links in their birth charts.
The closest conjunction? Jean’s Saturn with Eddy’s Midheaven @ 20° Libra. At the same time, Jean’s Venus is within 3° of Eddy’s Ascendant in Aquarius. And Jean’s Neptune is just over 1° from Eddy’s Mercury in Leo. And the Jupiter/Saturn conjunction in Aries in Eddy’s chart is inconjunct Jean’s Midheaven in Virgo.
The more convincing aspects occur between Jean’s natal chart and Eddy’s ‘fatal’ chart. Eddy’s ‘fatal’ South Node (with Mars) is conjunct Jean’s Jupiter @ 17° Scorpio. Eddy’s ‘fatal’ Sun/Venus conjunction is close to Jean’s Ascendant in Sagittarius, while Jean’s Venus is almost exactly conjunct Eddy’s ‘fatal’ Mercury @ 22° Sagittarius. The interactive Yod, pointing at Jean’s Midheaven, is made up of two inconjuncts from Eddy’s ‘fatal’ Saturn (in Aries) and Midheaven (in Aquarius). And Jean’s Moon/Pluto conjunction in Cancer is closely inconjunct Eddy’s ‘fatal’ Sun. I’ll finish with one more aspect: Jean’s Venus in Sagittarius is opposite Eddy’s ‘fatal’ Ascendant (conjunct with Pluto) in Gemini. That should be enough for anyone’s curiosity.
Family ties are interesting. And we don’t know the half of what goes on behind the scenes in spiritual terms. Yesterday, I concluded that Khan’s wife was someone I know in the present, and just to demonstrate how we all recognize each other when we meet in the flesh, this woman got on with my mother ‘like a house of fire.’ We are blessed.
It’s getting to the point of ridiculous: every time I pluck a name and memory out of the history books, I get a connection to me. Is this Egotism gone mad?
In the case of Phineas Quimby, I find myself face-to-face with (perhaps) the basis of my interest in Hypnotherapy. That makes me want to investigate our astrological connections.
Hmm. Nothing is ‘exact’, but there are some very close aspects which bring to mind a similar trend in thinking. My Mercury is conjunct Quimby’s Mars; my Sun is conjunct his Venus; my Pluto is conjunct his Midheaven; and Quimby’s South Node is about 4° from my Saturn. (Yes, we have no bananas, we have no bananas, today.)
Quimby’s death chart has a stellium of four planets, two lights and the Midheaven in Capricorn, with his ‘fatal’ Sun, Moon and Midheaven conjunct my Mercury @ 24°. And our North/South Nodes are reversed, with my Midheaven being ‘influenced’ by (and in opposition to) his ‘fatal’ Neptune @ 8° Aries. And, most conclusively, our positions of Uranus are (almost) exactly conjunct @ 1° Cancer. Even my natal Moon gets in on the act with Quimby’s ‘fatal’ Saturn in Scorpio. (You cannot make this shit up…)
Conclusion
If I were a betting man, I’d probably place a huge wager that even though sooo many lives are overlapping, my Oversoul has wanted to ensure that I get to play many roles in this story. Even though this makes me look like some kind of fabulist, I must explain that this is not my intention. I come back to the same truth, time and time again: we are One.
