If I Could Just Explain What My Generation Was About:

Dear Next Generation

I’m borrowing this image to help introduce a delicate subject matter: advice.

The so-called Baby Boom generation were the children of people who survived World War II. That kind of says it all, but the missing bit is that out children and their children will have to recreate another world war in order to completely get what we were fighting for, and against.

The Sixties was a time when our parents thought the whole world had gone mad. We teenagers and others in their early twenties were trying to make them see that war was not the answer, love was.

Let’s just say our methods weren’t the best, but they were all we had to wake everyone up.

“getting so much resistance from behind…”

Now we’re in the driver’s seat of the political school bus, and the kids are still bickering with each other in their seats. Spit balls are flying and everyone’s yelling, “Hooray for our side.” When will they ever learn?

We are all in this together: there is no ‘them and us’. If you haven’t woken up yet…

“Stop, hey, what’s that sound? Everybody look what’s going down…”

The Action is Nonstop, But the Story Never Starts

The Gray Man (2022)

Like the arrow in the FedEx logo, The Gray Man title has an ‘x’ in its centre which didn’t show up for me until I saw this video. Now I cannot un-see it.

As you can see, total mayhem follows him to the ends of the earth, but Six just keeps on doing what he does best. And what is that? Protecting the niece of his recruiter, Fitzroy. Everything else is coincidental.

Watch, if you’re a fan of violent screen action. Otherwise, you’ll be hankering for something to sink your teeth into. No one seems loyal to anyone else. And yet, Six is loyal to Fitzroy. In the end, the true story seems to begin.

Pope Francis Comes to Canada

Pilgrimage of Penance (July 24 – 29, 2022)

Hopefully, the energy of a Papal apology for the Residential School scandal will show up on the ‘event’ chart:

Yes, that works: the Moon being inconjunct to Pluto is perfect.

Moon Inconjunct Pluto

This aspect means that your emotions are very intense and not always easy to deal with. Often your feelings make you want to do or say something without knowing why. Also you may have very intense moods in which you withdraw from those around you into a world of your own. This should not be a very serious problems unless you have been brought up to have all sorts of fears and worries. In that case your actions will be driven by your fears, and you may behave quite strangely. If you do not feel accepted and emotionally supported at home, you may constantly feel guilty for what you think you have done to others, or jealous that people aren’t paying enough attention to you, or generally possessive of those around you.

You should talk about your feelings to someone you really tryst, for otherwise the pressure of your emotions will buils up too much. You must be made to realize that at some time everyone has those dark hidden thoughts that you think are so horrible. You are not alone, and you must learn not to blows these ideas up to be more important than they are.

You probably enjoy exploring the mysterious and probing hidden secrets. Even while you are young, you will understand human nature better than most people, but to use this ability positively, you must be reasonably calm about your feelings.

Yes, that really does say it all.

So, Here’s a Solution to the Left/Right Partisan Politics:

Forward Party

“Not Left, Not Right, Forward”

Wikipedia

Meet the Founder, Andrew Yang (January 13, 1975)

If you follow American politics, this man may seem to have come out of nowhere. From here, in Canada, I had not heard of him. That’s not surprising. The MSM have excluded him from their attention.

Evidently, this birth time is ‘from memory’ so we should be able to trust it. Notice that there are no inconjuncts which implies that he has no hidden agenda. So, what you see is what you get: a double Capricorn with an Aquarius Moon. But I am mindful of the Sagittarius Mars in the 12th House. Watch this space, eh?

Hmm.

When It Comes to American Voters…

Democrats Have Lost Their Way

Let me first say this: I am totally uninterested in American politics. (Who laughed at that statement?)

And, although my own political leanings are a little left of centre, I can see when something is wrong. But the challenge, as always, is how to fix the problem.

American voters really only have two choices: Republicans or Democrats. Have you ever wondered why their party symbols are the elephant and the donkey? Read this article for a better understanding.

When you only have a choice of the best worst option, it can cause some voters to be prone to switching sides, depending on what the concerns of the day are. And those are the voters each party targets.

But loyal bases get concerned when they don’t see what their party stands for, I mean, really stands for.

That was the genius of Donald Trump: he knew what they wanted, and he promised to deliver it to them if they made him President: Make America Great Again.

That couldn’t have happened if the government had been taking care of business. As always, once elected to office, the people in power decide to take care of themselves. Such as it ever was.

Joe Biden’s turn for glory came on the back of the idea that the American voter could get rid of Trump, once and for all time. So the voters showed up and did their civic duty, for once.

But Trump hasn’t gone away, and now everyone is concerned that should he become President again, he’ll become a Dictator. But who can defeat him a second time? Joe Biden? Kamala Harris? Who?

Republicans, Democrats differ on what brings meaning in life.

Pew Research Center

And just to make an example of three issues, here are their use of different words to say the same thing:

And What About the Economy?

The year 1980, in the modern era, was when Reaganomics became the norm.

Since then, the Democrats have lost their way.

How Operation Mincemeat was Hatched:

The Downing of BOAC Flight 777 (June 1, 1943)

Artist’s impression

I was reading an entry about Leslie Howard this morning, and it was suggesting that the German High Command had targeted this flight because of his presence onboard. It was probably more of an accident.

However, a more suggestive theory is that the man with Howard, his accountant Alfred T. Chenhalls, was mistaken for Prime Minister Winston Churchill, and he was the real target. Maybe yes, maybe no.

The use of GMT in the Wikipedia account is a little deceptive. There was no GMT by this time period in World War II, so the quoted time was more likely to be WT (war time) as noted in the United Kingdom.

The Pluto conjunct the Leo Ascendant is therefore quite accurate. But it leaves an inconjunct between Neptune and the Midheaven to explain the title of this piece.

Neptune Inconjunct Midheaven

You are very impressionable, in that you pick up the energies around you very quickly. Therefore it is very important that you are surrounded by wholesome influences in your early years, because negative influences will weaken your self-esteem and make it much more difficult to accomplish anything when you are older. On the other hand, your impressionableness may give rise to some psychic ability, or at least a very sharp intuition when you are older.

The Plot Thickens

Time magazine carried a brief story on 14 June, including details of the final radio broadcast from the Dutch pilot. “I am being followed by strange aircraft. Putting on best speed.… we are being attacked. Cannon shells and tracers are going through the fuselage. Wave-hopping and doing my best.” The news of Howard’s death was published in the same issue of The Times that falsely reported the death of Major William Martin, the red herring used for the ruse involved in Operation Mincemeat.

Oh, ho. That early on? Wow. (I guess you have to crack a few eggs to make an omelet.)

Any Normal Person Would Have Got the Message:

Trump was Thwarted at Every Turn

This Tarot card came to mind this morning when I was reviewing the latest (prime time) session of the January 6th Select Committee hearings from last night.

At the top of a steep cliff, a young man, armed with a wand, fights six men who are also armed with wands. It is the image of a person surrounded by hostile elements: at work, at home, in his social life, and even within his inner self, his psyche, or his body. In other words, he is someone racked with serious problems, and the black smoke billowing up into the sky highlights the danger of this. This card symbolizes energy that is being used up, wealth that is being destroyed, or human relationships that are deteriorating.

Tarot of the New Vision

But Trump was so sure that he could overcome defeat by confidently repeating the same lie over and over again, he wouldn’t (and really couldn’t) admit that he had lost the election. The cost of ruined lives for others was enormous. But what has that to do with him?

It’s called hubris.

Hubris (/ˈhjuːbrɪs/; from Ancient Greek ὕβρις (húbris) ‘pride, insolence, outrage’), or less frequently hybris (/ˈhaɪbrɪs/), describes a personality quality of extreme or excessive pride or dangerous overconfidence, often in combination with (or synonymous with) arrogance. The term arrogance comes from the Latin adrogare, meaning “to feel that one has a right to demand certain attitudes and behaviors from other people”. To arrogate means “to claim or seize without justification… To make undue claims to having”, or “to claim or seize without right… to ascribe or attribute without reason”. The term pretension is also associated with the term hubris, but is not synonymous with it.

According to studies, hubris, arrogance, and pretension are related to the need for victory (even if it does not always mean winning) instead of reconciliation, which “friendly” groups might promote. Hubris is usually perceived as a characteristic of an individual rather than a group, although the group the offender belongs to may suffer collateral consequences from wrongful acts. Hubris often indicates a loss of contact with reality and an overestimation of one’s own competence, accomplishments or capabilities. The adjectival form of the noun hubris/hybris is hubristic/hybristic.

The term hubris originated in Ancient Greek, where it had several different meanings depending on the context. In legal usage, it meant assault or sexual crimes and theft of public property, and in religious usage it meant transgression against a god.

By Hook or By Crook: Whatever It Takes

The New American Civil War?

It was comparing the U.S. Secret Service chart to Donald J. Trump’s that got me to thinking: could Trump have been a part of the original American Civil War? Then Jefferson Davis came to mind.

I wasn’t expecting any real connections between these charts, so you can imagine my surprise when Trump’s North Node turns out to be (almost exactly) conjunct Davis’ natal Mercury. Oh-ho, says I.

This also means that Trump’s Moon/South Node are in opposition to Davis’ natal Mercury. Hmm.

But I’m not the first person to make this connection. Here are a couple of cartoons:

.

It also explains so much more…
