Here’s another surprise entry in my day yesterday: this young musician was on Ellen yesterday afternoon at 4:00 pm local time. Here’s a link to the EllenTube video.
At first, I wondered if he was the reincarnation of Kurt Cobain, but after comparing their charts, decided against that idea. However, I had to do a little digging to get his birth details, but I randomized the timing.
Now, ordinarily, I try to match events in a person’s life in order to rectify a chart. In this case, I thought it delightfully strange that the North Node should be conjunct to the Ascendant for this time. Hmm.
Then, looking at the significant event at age 3 of going to his first Southern Rock concert (Jupiter/Uranus conjunction), I saw that this might truly be the correct birth time…
That Saturn on his 10th House cusp (Midheaven) is also significant, as his father is part of his band and the greatest influence on his musical choices. I suspect this young man will go far in life.
I’m beginning to think that I need to get out more: here is a Christian Country Music star whose story is heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time. In fact, I’d never heard of him, until I watched this film last night. Jeremy Camp‘s story is about love and loss at a young age. It was hard for him (at 23) to watch his first love (and wife) die of ovarian cancer when she was only 21. It tested his faith, because he believed that she would be healed, like the woman in the Bible who touched the hem of Jesus’ garment.
Meet Jeremy Camp
As is my method, I wondered how this crisis would look astrologically to Jeremy (since the story is ultimately how it affected him, personally). Here’s his birth chart, rectified to show his marriage at almost age 23 (Venus):
There is only one inconjunct, connecting the Moon and Pluto.
Moon Inconjunct Pluto
This aspect means that your emotions are very intense and not always easy to deal with. Often your feelings make you want to do or say something without knowing why. Also you may have very intense moods in which you withdraw from those around you into a world of your own.
You should talk about your feelings to someone you really trust, for otherwise the pressure of your emotions will build up too much. You must be made to realize that at some time everyone has those dark hidden thoughts that you think are so horrible. You are not alone, and you must learn not to blow these ideas up to be more important than they are.
You probably enjoy exploring the mysterious and probing hidden secrets. Even while you are young, you will understand human nature better than most people, but to use this ability positively, you must be reasonably calm about your feelings.
When Melissa Died
On their wedding day in October 2000
From the film, I got the impression that Melissa died in the early hours of the day, so I set the clock at 1:00 am. Somehow, it’s fitting that Mars was conjunct the Ascendant in Scorpio at that time. There were also two inconjuncts, one involving Venus and the Midheaven, the other the Moon and Neptune; all apt.
Putting the two charts together highlights the potential for success in Jeremy’s life: his Saturn is conjunct the event Midheaven and his Midheaven is conjunct the event Venus (with interactive inconjuncts). His Mercury in the final degrees of Sagittarius is inconjunct the event Jupiter, while the event Sun is inconjunct his natal Ascendant. (In other words, without the traumatic death of his loved one, he wouldn’t have become the singer/songwriter he is today.)
I Still Believe
Scattered words and empty thoughts Seem to pour from my heart I’ve never felt so torn before Seems I don’t know where to start But it’s now that I feel your grace fall like rain From every fingertip, washing away my pain
‘Cause I still believe in your faithfulness ‘Cause I still believe in your truth ‘Cause I still believe in your holy word Even when I don’t see, I still believe
Though the questions seem to fog up my mind With promises I still seem to bear Even when answers slowly unwind It’s my heart I see you prepare But it’s now that I feel your grace fall like rain From every finger tip, washing away my pain
‘Cause I still believe in your faithfulness ‘Cause I still believe in your truth ‘Cause I still believe in your holy word Even when I don’t see, I still believe
Well, the only place I can go is into your arms Where I throw to you my feeble prayers Well, in brokenness I can see that this was your will for me Help me to know you are near
‘Cause I still believe in your faithfulness ‘Cause I still believe in your truth ‘Cause I still believe in your holy word Even when I don’t see, I still believe
A fellow astrologer-blogger calls Patty Hearst, Jeffrey Epstein’s granddaughter, referencing the fact that Epstein is William Randolph Hearst reincarnated. CaptMcCoy also thinks that what happened to Patty Hearst was a random ‘joke’ played by some unseen Controllers. Well, I don’t have access to his source material, so I will just concentrate on Patty alone.
It would seem that this is the time that every astrology site has used for Hearst’s birth chart, so I will stick with it. The first thing to note is that the Sun @ 2° Pisces seems to be when she became her own person at 21 years of age. That coincides with her taking part in a bank robbery after being kidnapped (and brainwashed) by the S.L.A. in 1974.
Moon Inconjunct Venus
There is a danger that if you spend too much time and effort trying to get what you need, you will not be able to give love to others. Thus this aspect can mean that you indulge yourself and expect others to do everything for you. Of course, if people think that you are looking at things this way, they will not be inclined to help you. That will drive you to seek love even more and make the pattern even stronger.
[It is significant that the man she ended up marrying, after her trial and imprisonment, was the policeman assigned to protect her.]
Here’s the chart for the ‘event’:
This is the precise moment that the robbery began, as witnessed by the bank guard, Eden Shea. It makes me wonder, when observing the South Node/Mars/Saturn/Ascendant conjunction in Gemini, if this was something Ms. Hearst had done before, in a prior life. At any rate, she had done it again, now.
Look at those link-ups! This is no ‘accident’ or random ‘joke’ played by some Cosmic dudes. This was her own destiny, and if ever a privileged white heiress needed to demonstrate her denial of everything that had come before, this was the moment.
He forgot that the grounds of the Saudi Arabian Consulate in Istanbul are actually considered Saudi soil.
Khashoggi’s birth time is unknown. I tried randomizing the chart and then realized that a birth at 12 noon local time would probably best highlight his murder at age (almost) 60 (Pluto @ 3° Virgo). There is a Yod (Finger of God) pointing at Mars (@ 2° Gemini). Hmm.
Mars Inconjunct Neptune
With this aspect you must learn to stand up for yourself and demand your rights forthrightly and directly. Often you feel that you don’t have enough energy to assert yourself or that any such effort would be futile. Unfortunately, some people with this aspect learn to work behind the scenes or dishonestly. Others simply give up or take a defeatist attitude toward life.
Mars Inconjunct Ascendant
One of the more difficult sides of this aspect is that you must learn to understand whether or not someone has violated your rights. You may think that this is the case even when it isn’t. Learn to discriminate.
They say that the pen is mightier than the sword and those who live by the sword, die by the sword.
The Murder Chart
This is the precise moment of Khashoggi’s last words (as captured by Turkish authorities on a covert tape recording of the event). He thought they were just going to sedate him. He didn’t know they were going to cut up his body into small parts in order to secretly remove him from the consulate.
That Moon opposition to the Saturn/Pluto/Ascendant conjunction in Capricorn may be the clue to ‘whodunnit’.
No doubt Mohammed bin Salman is implicated but what does astrology say about this murder?
MBS’ Neptune is conjunct both the ‘murder’ Saturn and Khashoggi’s Ascendant. MBS’ Saturn is conjunct the ‘murder’ Jupiter. And MBS’ Sun is conjunct Khashoggi’s Pluto. There are other links, but there’s no point flogging a dead horse, is there?
Long before “Downton Abbey” the recent past in England was explored by Kazuo Ishiguro in his book “The Remains of the Day” in 1989. By 1993, this book was adapted into a film, starring Anthony Hopkins and Emma Thompson. I always wondered how he did that.
Ishiguro, who has been described as a British Asian author, explained in a BBC interview how growing up in a Japanese family in the UK was crucial to his writing, enabling him to see things from a different perspective to that of many of his English peers.

I’m surprised that none of the astrology sites have rectified his chart, based on his life’s story. To me, it was obvious that his moving to Guildford, Surrey at age 5 would be symbolized by Jupiter. Gaining naturalized British citizenship at age 29 is symbolized by the Sun, while marrying his wife at age 32 is symbolized by Venus. That makes his birth time at 5 pm local Japanese time, and his Ascendant in Taurus. As a result, there are two inconjuncts, one dependent on a correct timing, the other not.
Moon Inconjunct Venus
You need to be loved, even more than most people, particularly by your mother or another woman who takes the place of your mother. This need for love will be the force behind many of your actions. If you don’t find the love you are looking for, you will develop an insecure hunger for love from everyone you meet. However, you may express this in very strange ways, such as a desire for food, especially sweets, which unconsciously represent love to you.
Pluto Inconjunct Midheaven
You may have trouble with older people who try to teach you how to effectively take control of your life. Even while you are young, you may resent their control over you and resist everything they are trying to teach you. To a great extent, your path in life will be shaped by your early confrontations with authority figures. Your parents would be well advised to give you as much control as possible over your own affairs and as much self-determination as you can handle. They should not try to keep an extremely tight rein on you, for if they do, you will explode and become very difficult to handle. Also your self-esteem would be damaged. Your parents and teachers should be very straightforward with you, because if you feel that people are not being honest with you, you will not be honest with them. You are quite capable of acting behind peoples’ backs if you consider it necessary or if you feel that you never get your own way.
{It is interesting that Pluto’s placement in his chart would coincide with his becoming immersed in the British education system…]
The Remains of the Day
The main character, Mr. Stevens, is a very buttoned-down personality. His main counterpart, Miss Kenton, is the housekeeper he hired for the Darlington Hall household. He probably thought they would grow old together, but she had other plans. They meet again in 1956, and the title comes from a line, near the end of the tale, when she asks him why the people applaud when the lights are turned on the Grand Pier. He replies that the evening is the best part of the day after the work is done.
When they finally meet again, Mrs. Benn, having been married now for more than twenty years, admits to wondering if she made a mistake in marrying, but says she has come to love her husband and is looking forward to the birth of their first grandchild. Stevens later muses over lost opportunities, both with Miss Kenton and regarding his decades of selfless service to Lord Darlington, who may not have been worthy of his unquestioning fealty. Stevens even expresses some of these sentiments in casual conversation with a friendly stranger of a similar age and background whom he happens upon near the end of his travels.
This man suggests that it is better to enjoy the present time in one’s life than to dwell on the past, as “the evening” is, after all, the best part of the day. At the end of the novel, Stevens appears to have taken this to heart as he focuses on the titular “remains of the day”, referring to his future service with Mr. Farraday (Mr. Lewis in the film) and what is left of his own life.
J.R.R. Tolkien (January 3, 1892 – September 2, 1973)
1940
It’s hard to believe that it’s been 20 years since the first “Lord of the Rings” film was released to cinemas the world over. This concept came from the mind of J.R.R. Tolkien.
All the astrology sites have followed one another with a birth time of 10:00 pm, and gave that time a “C” rating, meaning that it was rectified from an estimated birth time. Well, maybe they should have pinned the whole thing on Venus at age 21 when he finally proposed to Edith. To me that placed the birth time at 9:00 pm instead.
On the evening of his 21st birthday, Tolkien wrote to Edith, who was living with family friend C. H. Jessop at Cheltenham. He declared that he had never ceased to love her, and asked her to marry him. Edith replied that she had already accepted the proposal of George Field, the brother of one of her closest school friends. But Edith said she had agreed to marry Field only because she felt “on the shelf” and had begun to doubt that Tolkien still cared for her. She explained that, because of Tolkien’s letter, everything had changed.
On 8 January 1913, Tolkien travelled by train to Cheltenham and was met on the platform by Edith. The two took a walk into the countryside, sat under a railway viaduct, and talked. By the end of the day, Edith had agreed to accept Tolkien’s proposal. She wrote to Field and returned her engagement ring. Field was “dreadfully upset at first”, and the Field family was “insulted and angry”. Upon learning of Edith’s new plans, Jessop wrote to her guardian, “I have nothing to say against Tolkien, he is a cultured gentleman, but his prospects are poor in the extreme, and when he will be in a position to marry I cannot imagine. Had he adopted a profession it would have been different.”
Following their engagement, Edith reluctantly announced that she was converting to Catholicism at Tolkien’s insistence. Jessop, “like many others of his age and class … strongly anti-Catholic”, was infuriated, and he ordered Edith to find other lodgings.
Edith Bratt and Ronald Tolkien were formally engaged at Birmingham in January 1913, and married at St Mary Immaculate Roman Catholic Church, Warwick, on 22 March 1916

The resulting Neptune/Pluto conjunction in the 10th House of Career absolutely makes this chart timing perfect, whereas the 10 pm timing would have this conjunction in the 9th House and have Tolkien only concentrate his focus on the higher learning and not the subsequent writing.
Moon Inconjunct Saturn
This aspect usually means that your need for emotional security conflicts with your need to live with the world’s demands. Each of us needs to be accepted and loved for what we are, in order to have enough self confidence to deal with the world. But we also have to learn to live with our own life situations in order to survive. In other words, we have to realize that we can’t have everything we want. With this aspect, these two needs are working against each other. Probably you will satisfy one of them at the expense of the other.
Mercury Inconjunct Midheaven
It is very important that you develop your mind and your powers of thought, so that you can use them to attain whatever objectives you set for yourself. However, before you can accomplish this, you may have to solve certain problems. You may feel that there is a tension between your natural spontaneous views and what is taught by your parents and other adults. Even though their teachings seem perfectly reasonable, you want to think matters through for yourself. But while you are young, you may not be able to accept your own ideas as valid if they contradict what you have been taught. Yet you cannot simply suppress your own ways of thinking. If you try, you will create tension and probably create a gap between what you are trying to do and what you say. When you get older you may express this tension by making indiscreet remarks that totally get in the way of your objectives.
Jupiter Inconjunct Ascendant
With this aspect, you may discover that in order to grow and get ahead in life, you will have to put aside your own needs and do whatever the situation or other people require. At times you will go through tremendous and possibly painful creative changes in your life, in which everything that you are is replaced by a new order. [Mordor?] Your environment may change radically, or you may lose all your old friends and find a whole set of new ones. During these times you will arrive at new understandings and realizations that make it impossible for your life to continue as before. You must always be open to new ideas and be willing to change your outlook on life.
Uranus Inconjunct Neptune (1893-1896 and 1924-1927)
This aspect indicates a generation that had mixed feelings about its ideals and how to implement them. They often felt very confused about their ideals, and when they found that their ideals failed because they were badly formulated, this group became disillusioned. States of consciousness beyond the ordinary are very confusing to them, and they prefer not to get involved with such matters.
Uranus Inconjunct Pluto (1892-1894 and 1911-1912)
This aspect indicates changes in the world of the people who were born at these times, changes that were difficult to understand because they were very revolutionary but subtle in many ways. The people born during the first period experienced the consequences of these changes through having to fight in the First World War. The second group reached maturity at the time of the Great Depression. Both the First World War and the Depression were expressions of the breakdown of the nineteenth-century world order that was dominated by Western Europe.
A Map of Middle Earth
All Rings fans recognize that Middle Earth is actually the Midlands and Wales in Great Britain. (This map seems to be proof enough of that fact.) But where exactly is Mordor?
But the most likely inspiration for Tolkien’s dark realm was a far less exotic locale. The allegory of evil in Tolkien’s universe had less to do with geography than a bending and twisting of nature. Mordor is all smoke and pollution, bellowing furnaces and blackening land. This was, in part, Tolkien’s reaction to industrialization. And its mark could be seen especially in areas around the city of Birmingham, the home of Tolkien’s parents. A recent exhibition in the nearby city of Wolverhampton linked images from Tolkien’s sketchbooks to depictions of the Black Country, a region northwest of Birmingham once known for its coal mines, steel mills and stretches of industrial blight.
We watched “The Polar Express” last night (again), but this time in a six-seater private screening room. What a difference from the cinema version and/or a TV broadcast…
Most of the film takes place between 11:55 pm and midnight on Christmas Eve. In other words, time stands still for the passengers on the train (1225, for those with sharp eyes: December 25). That set me to thinking about the “Back to the Future” trilogy, and other time-warping films by Robert Zemeckis.
You may notice on the IMDb listing that his birth date is shown as May 14, 1951. That’s the same date as listed on Wikipedia. All the astrology websites put his birth date as May 14, 1952. What’s going on?
I did both dates, and decided the 1952 one fits better because his Moon is in Capricorn, the hint from the Universe that he would like to somehow control Time, like Saturn does.
At first I randomized the time, then set the clock at 10 am, due to the opposition between the Moon and the Ascendant. The overall impression is one of conflict and stress, which I think is par for the course for a movie producer. The Mars opposition to the Mercury/Venus/Jupiter conjunction in Taurus is the true dynamic of his personality. That triple conjunction is in the 10th House of Career, meaning he loves writing and directing films. The Mars aspect shows that he loves uncovering mysteries (Scorpio) in the 4th House of Home. Most of his films involve returning to one’s childhood memories.
Take a glimpse at the trailer:
The Boy Hero is unnamed. In the original book, the author’s name is presumed to be the boy’s: Chris. (In the film, only Billy, on the train, is named.) Interesting, that. It allows the viewer (and producer) to identify fully with his adventures. Maybe that’s the clue to Zemeckis’ character. He was a skeptical child (Moon in Capricorn) who just wanted to believe in Santa Claus. Does that ring a (sleigh) bell, anyone?

To be honest, I don’t listen to the warmongers very often. What we see on the nightly news can only be considered propaganda, at best. But something that was said the other day really caught my attention:
Russia claims US mercenaries plan chemical attack in Ukraine
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoygu claimed Tuesday that U.S. mercenaries were preparing Ukrainian special forces and radical armed groups for “active hostilities” in eastern Ukraine, and had delivered “an unidentified chemical component” to the region “to commit provocations.”
This amounts to an outright lie, but in the battle for hearts and minds of one’s own people, it is the equivalent of getting the American public to back an attack on Iraq because Saddam Hussein had WMD (weapons of mass destruction).
Russia is playing hardball, here.
My friend, David Lowe, sent me a link to a YouTube video chat between an astrologer and that video platform’s host. In it she spoke of the recent solar eclipse as being a portent of problems with China. Why China? At any rate, she (the astrologer) projected the end of December as the start of war with China. That’s how some astrologers get it wrong, even when they seemingly get it right.
Moon Inconjunct Uranus
With this aspect you must learn to control sudden outbursts of emotion that occur at difficult times when you least expect it. Also your present home life may not be a stable situation in which you can grow up emotionally secure and confident. A particular incident when you were very young may have given you the feeling that you can’t count on anything or anyone for support.
Mars Inconjunct Uranus
You have a tendency to be rash and impulsive, which may get in your way. If matters proceed too slowly, you are likely to make a sudden move that upsets the whole situation and forces you to start over again. Youmust learn to be patient if you want to achieve your objectives.
Sometimes you may make sudden moves that startle people. You may make a decision very quickly and start to act on it immediately, but that is not such a good idea. Make up your mind more slowly, or at least wait for a while until you start to act. If your idea still looks good a couple of days later, it is probably all right to go ahead with it.
Moon Conjunct Mars
You are likely to have quite a temper and fly off the handle easily. However, if you are allowed to express your anger completely, you get over it very soon. You can be very angry one minute, but as soon as your mood has passed, you are quite calm. However, if you get into the habit of holding in your angry feelings, they can build up to quite a fierce level and even become destructive in your life later on. Suppressed anger can be a source of many nervous disorders and mental problems when you are an adult.
You are a fighter, and once you have made up your mind about something, you fight very hard to get your way. Others have to prove that they are stronger than you are, or you won’t give in to them. At least you fight out in the open and reasonably fairly, so no one can complain that you are sneaky and underhanded.
The major problem to watch out for is that you may fight for ideas or causes that you haven’t thought out at all carefully. You may react to threats that are more imagined than real if an innocent remark or action triggers off any angry reaction in your mind. You tend to get angry without really knowing why. When that happens, try to see if the reasons justify your anger. A tendency to get angry for no reason or to act without thinking is the greatest problem with this aspect.
“The breakup of the Soviet Union was the greatest geopolitical tragedy of the 20th century.”
And just to remind you all, December 31st is only one week away.
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

*Cassandra was a Trojan priestess of Apollo in Greek mythology cursed to utter true prophecies, but never to be believed. In modern usage her name is employed as a rhetorical device to indicate someone whose accurate prophecies are not believed.
