Shaped by the Potter’s Wheel

Rupert Spira (March 13, 1960)

This man looks familiar, although I’d never heard of him before yesterday. The title is inspired by his love of all things pottery. I suspect he’s approve of my use of the metaphor that we are all just lumps of clay in the hands of a spiritual potter. Rupert Spira must surely understand the ‘spiral’ of time.

This time is totally randomized. The positions of Mars and Venus may represent the bookends of the two years he studied pottery making (ages 20 and 22). It implies that the timing ‘might’ be correct.

There are three inconjuncts, two of which form a Yod (Finger of God) pointing to Uranus @ 17° Leo 40′. Hmm.

Moon Inconjunct Venus (may not apply)

You need to be loved, even more than most people, particularly by your mother or another woman who takes the place of your mother. This need for love will be the force behind many of your actions. If you don’t find the love you are looking for, you will develop an insecure hunger for love from everyone you meet. However, you may express this in very strange ways, such as a desire for food, especially sweets, which unconsciously represent love to you.

Mercury Inconjunct Uranus (definitely)

Your mind moves quickly from topic to topic, often without pausing long enough for you to understand what you have learned. And if there is a lot of excitement or activity around you, your mind may race so fast to keep up with it all that you work yourself into a state of nervous frenzy. Under these circumstances it is almost impossible for you to concentrate or do any useful work.

On the other hand, you are quite inventive. You can see solutions to problems quicker than most, and you may be good at designing. Model building and other activities that develop your design sense and ability to see in three dimensions would be very useful. Also these exercises would help you learn to concentrate.

Saturn Inconjunct Uranus (for sure)

This aspect indicates a serious tension in your life between freedom and restriction. Many people have this conflict, but in your case the tensions may be so severe that you express them physically as muscle tension and possibly nervousness. You feel that somehow you must keep everything in your life under tight control, that if you let go, the whole structure will fall apart. In a very real and direct sense, you must learn to relax.

Amen.

“If I Die, I Die: I’m Not Going to be Controlled.”

Meat Loaf (September 27, 1947 – January 20, 2022)

1971

Whether or not he died from COVID-19 complications is to underestimate the effect this ‘bat out of hell’ had on the world while he lived. Meat Loaf was one of a kind.

Some astrology sites claim this is a quoted birth time, some others say his birth time is unknown. It looks to me that the chart is rectified to his being in Dallas (and meeting JFK) on the day of the President’s assassination at age 16 (Mars). But that’s neither here nor there. There are two inconjuncts with neither of them being dependent on a correct birth time.

Sun Inconjunct Moon

This aspect suggests that there is a subtle conflict going on inside you that may sometimes create emotional problems. The Sun signifies your conscious personality, the way in which you act and the kinds of activities that you like to get involved in. The Moon signifies the emotional and less conscious side of you. It indicates the habits that take over when you are not acting consciously and feelings that come up from deep inside you. The inconjunct aspect between the Sun and Moon means that the Sun part of your personality is quite different from the Moon part, and it may be hard for you to relate them to each other. It is as if you are divided in two, so that whenever you have to make an important decision, especially one that involves your feelings, the different sides of your personality want to go in opposite directions. You sometimes find it difficult to decide if you like something or if you want to take part in some activity.

Jupiter Inconjunct Uranus

You will always need freedom, but you will also discover that what you do with your life will have meaning only if it means something to others, This is not an artificial rule but a truth that you will discover within yourself. When you do, you may become heavily involved in some social movement that advocates unusual ideas or ways of thinking. When you are an adult, you may join a movement for social reform or change. However, even in a group that embodies your own thinking, you will find it hard to adjust to the group’s demands on your own time and freedom.Consequently you will probably leave that group and join another, until that one also becomes oppressive.

So, What About His Being an Eyewitness to History?

Hmm. Rest in peace, Meat…

The Astrological Portrait of a Vietnamese Monk

Thich Nhat Hanh (October 11, 1926 – January 22, 2022)

We tend to revere our Godmen. Somehow, they seem bigger and better than the rest of us. But they’re only human, after all. And some are even humble, as Thich Nhat Hanh was his whole life.

Thay’s birth time is unknown. Most astrology sites then settle on 12 noon for his birth chart. I got the impression that his becoming a monk at age 16 would be symbolized by Mars @ 18° Taurus 24′. (It makes him a spiritual ‘soldier’ here on earth.) I was surprised to see three inconjuncts, none of which are dependent on the correct time of birth.

Courtesy of Plum Village

Sun Inconjunct Mars

You have a rather strong will, which may be difficult to control. This is because your way of doing something tends to interfere with what you want to gain by doing it. Your actions in some situations may surprise people by contradicting what they have learned about you as a person. Inside of yourself, you may even begin to feel that you can’t approve of the way you act, or you may feel that you can’t deal comfortably with the results of your actions. In other words, you get yourself into real jams.

The only real cure for these problems is to think before you act. Most of them come about because you act impulsively and hastily or out of anger and frustration. Such actions will usually work against you, not because those impulses are wrong, but because they don’t work out as you expect. Your angry style is different from your usual style of acting, when you are more in control of yourself.

Jupiter Inconjunct Pluto

You have a great deal of creative power, and the major challenge of your life will be learning how to handle it. First of all, you must realize that you will get the most out of life if you direct your energies toward helping the people around you and those you love. You will want to change many conditions in the world, which is fine as long as your reasons are not purely selfish ones.

Uranus Inconjunct Neptune (1924-1927)

This aspect indicates a generation that had mixed feelings about its ideals and how to implement them. They often felt very confused about their ideals, and when they found that their ideals failed because they were badly formulated, this group became disillusioned. States of consciousness beyond the ordinary are very confusing to them, and they prefer not to get involved with such matters.

Conclusion

This man found that the answers to all his questions came from within himself. These inconjuncts are the proof. The lesson for all of us is to seek to know our own ‘true’ selves.

Zen.

Novak’s Covic Joke is on Us All

Novak Djokovic (May 21, 1987)

I watched, with amusement, the media circus that was caused by Novak Djokovic‘s attempt to circumvent Australia’s strict Visa procedure concerning the COVID-19 vaccine. It wasn’t really funny, because some people think that the rules don’t apply to them. Novak’s deportation must have come as a shock.

This is the time that most astrology sites use for Novak’s birth. I won’t disagree, but I was surprised to see only one inconjunct.

Mercury Inconjunct Ascendant

You are likely to have some problems, but not serious ones, in communicating with others. The problem is that people’s first impression of you may not fit in with what you say or your manner of thinking and speaking. People tend to hear what they expect to hear, and they may not listen to you as carefully as they should. So you will have to be as clear as possible and insist that others listen to what you are really saying. If others do not understand you, it is up to you to set them straight.

This pattern also works in reverse in that what you say may make people respond in ways that you can’t accept. For example, you may be outspoken and frank but dislike it when others are, preferring to be treated gently and sensitively.

A medical exemption from getting the COVID-19 vaccine is based on Novak’s saying that he’d already caught the coronavirus and therefore didn’t need to be vaccinated. Meanwhile, others are sick and dying.

And then someone decided that the joke was really on us since Novak’s name says it all: no vaxx.

The Spirit Animal from My Inner Guide Meditation

Horse

As you may recall, I took myself through the Inner Guide Meditation years ago. When I first came out of the cave into a garden, a Horse came to me to lead me to my true Inner Guide. Here are some of its symbolism.

Meditating on My Totem Animal: Silence and I

Lynx

“The meaning of the lynx points to your gift of ‘hearing’ other people’s thoughts and seeing into their souls, as well as their intentions and thoughts.

“You can pick up on vibrational energies and use them to determine your actions and responses.

“The lynx symbolism also speaks about instinct and the powers of observation. You can always rely on these things, especially when you are feeling confused or disconnected.

“The lynx totem represents your vision and foresight, and your ability to see through lies and deceptions and find the unseen. This helps you develop an awareness to the world around you.

“The lynx meaning also has something to do with valuing your promises and taking care of people’s confidence in you. When you give someone your word, you must honor it.

“You are being encouraged to trust your instincts. You should also awaken your abilities if you want to advance in life.”

Instead of Triggering Everyone’s Fear of Death…

They Should have Triggered the Fear of Missing Out

Now, hear me out, because this is a basic sales technique. The coronavirus panic that started 22 months ago could have been handled better. In the beginning the only hope at the time was a vaccine, so governments around the world had to shut everything down, to avoid overrunning their healthcare systems. We all know how that turned out. When governments try to enforce mandatory control, 25% of the population will rebel. Governments know that, but the medical people were adamant, so the only choice was ‘do as we say, or die.’

When the Pfizer vaccine was first approved, the tactic should have just been, ‘only some of you will be able to get this protection.’ Then everyone would have wanted it. (As proof, rapid testing kits have been sporadically available, and demand has never stopped.)

Perhaps, that’s the other side of the coin: basic supply and demand. (Toilet paper, anyone.)

I rest my case, m’lord.

I’d Never Read the Word Before, But It’s Familiar

Murāqabah

How a Star is Born

The word murāqabah is derived from the base of rā-qāf-bā The base has the meaning of guarding and watching over with the expectation of noticing any change, unique qualities or abnormalities of a given thing. The word is also on verb scale three, which gives a connotation of exaggeration, overexertion, and partnership. This then implies that the one who is doing murāqabah is diligent and hardworking with the expectation that someone else is also doing a similar task.

In ancient Arabic, the word murāqabah referred to one who would watch the night sky. They would scan the sky in hopes to see the first signs of early stars to begin their journey. Due to the intense heat and difficult terrain of the Arabian Peninsula, the ability to recognize the constellations and their seasonal divergences was a critical skill. In the classic poem, “the observer of the night is as vigilant as a fish in search of water”.

This etymology can be connected to the modern linguistical and technical meaning of what murāqabah is understood to be today. Murāqabah is seen to be of twin perspectives, both with a connotation of persistence and exertion. According to al-Qushayrī (d.465/1072) and al-Jurjānī (d.816/1413) murāqabah is for one to be aware that their Lord is perpetually aware of His subordinates. Not only is the person continuously in a state of mindfulness but they are also cognizant that their Lord is aware as well, creating a reciprocal relation.

Wikipedia

Sometimes, when I read, I’m listening for my ears to pick up the subtleties of the written word.

This one jumped out at me: could the Sufis have been referring to the soul’s vehicle, the Merkaba? Hmm.

And Talk About a Mismatch Made in Hell

Melanie Trump (April 26, 1970)

The Mogul and the Model, their relationship should be called. And in astrological terms, should never have happened. But everything about Donald Trump is the “appearance” of things, some of which would be considered deceptive, as we have seen before. I am going back over old territory, here.

Strangely, most astrology sites claim that her birth time is unknown, and yet a couple of them state that Melanie Trump as born at midnight. So, I’m going along with that, although the usual would be 12 noon.

I suspect the incentive for that time was the Moon in the last degrees of Sagittarius in the 12th House. There are five inconjuncts, with two formed Yods, neither of which can be relied upon because of their connections to the Moon, the Ascendant and the Midheaven. But, for fun, let’s explore them anyway.

Sun Inconjunct Uranus (definitely)

There is a side of your personality that is very restless and impatient with rules, even when you know they are for your own good. You want very much to go your own way and do your own thing, even when you aren’t entirely sure that it is the right direction for you. So you rebel in subtle ways by having sudden fits of obstinacy and moods of feeling very contrary, especially to authority figures.

Moon Inconjunct Venus (maybe)

You need to be loved, even more than most people, particularly by your m other or another woman who takes the place of your mother. This need for love will be the force behind many of your actions. If you don’t find the love you are looking for, you will develop an insecure hunger for love from everyone you meet. However, you may express this in very strange ways, such as a desire for food, especially sweets, which unconsciously represent love to you.

Venus Inconjunct Jupiter (for sure)

This can be a positive aspect if you learn to control some of its negative possibilities. You are likely to lack energy and to be rather passive. You may wait for opportunities to come to you, rather than go after them. You may not have enough energy to pursue your ambitions, or you may not have much ambition. Or you may love your comfort so much that you are unwilling to make any effort or put up with any pain that could help you grow and develop. However, if there are any indications of energy in your chart, they should overcome the passivity.

Mars Inconjunct Ascendant (probably not)

The difficulty with this aspect is to find a balance between getting what you want in life and getting along with others. More than most people, you will have to learn the necessity of compromising to get along with people, especially because you often seem more aggressive than you are.

Mars Inconjunct Midheaven (perhaps)

This aspect can mean that you have mixed feelings about all authority figures, including your parents. You may feel that you have to violate the rules laid down by your parents in order to get your way. This is a significant problem, because if it continues into adulthood, you will have great difficulties with employers.

(Now, to get the full effect, substitute husband for parents and other authority figures like employers.)

If I was hoping for a great match of energy, I would be disappointed. The best connection between these two is a conjunction between The Donald’s Neptune and Melanie’s Uranus. Not a good combination.

Does it now make sense when you look at them standing together on a public platform?

The couple Grim…

And From Out of the Left Field Came This:

Azeb Mesfin (Dec 21, 1966) Meles Zenawi (May 9, 1955 – Aug 20, 2012)

Meles Zenawl and Azeb Mesfin

I never knew about these two, until today. Here’s a link to Meles Zenawi’s obituary written by the BBC. First he was President, and then Prime Minister, of Ethiopia. Some think he is the reincarnation of Adolf Hitler. But for our purposes, I am going to concentrate my attention first on his wife, Azeb Mesfin.

This timing is randomized. I don’t know enough about her to rectify her chart accurately. Notice that there are no inconjuncts, so no hidden motives. When we compare her chart to Eva Braun’s birth and death charts, we see something amazing.

Even randomized, there is a connection to Azeb’s Ascendant and Eva’s ‘fatal’ Mars. At the same time, Azeb’s Uranus is conjunct Eva’s natal Moon. And Azeb’s North Node @ 13° Leo 53′ is almost exactly conjunct Eva’s natal Saturn (and widely conjunct Eva’s ‘fatal’ Sun by 4°). In my opinion, this is ‘proof’ of reincarnation.

But What About Meles Zenawi?

Just for fun(?) I also compared Zenawi’s birth chart with Hitler’s birth and death charts, just to see what might align between them.

Again, Zenawi’s birth chart is randomized, so we cannot absolutely rely upon the Ascendant or Moon’s position, but even so: Zenawi has that familiar Pluto/Ascendant connection that makes for a wily smart politician; and Zenawi’s natal Moon is almost exactly conjunct Hitler’s ‘fatal’ Moon. In the meantime, Zenawi’s natal Venus is conjunct Hitler’s ‘fatal’ Mercury/Venus conjunction. So, yes, they’re connected.

The question then has to be asked: were Meles Zenawi and Azeb Mesfin meant to carry on the work of the German Third Reich, but this time in East Africa? Strange the way this astrology stuff works.
