Jupiter and Saturn Have Been Close Before In Aquarius

March 13, 1226

And what happened eight hundred years ago when the grand conjunction last mutated from earth into air? A conjunction in 1206 in Taurus was followed by one in 1226 in Aquarius, and the shift was accompanied by a rapid growth in trade and an expansion of urban life. The Hanseatic League was formed, and at the first opposition in 1215 the Magna Carta was signed. At this time the building of the great cathedrals started, which brought people together and favoured community life with the guilds being formed. The Templars were active creating institutions for the poor and elderly, and founding schools and hospitals. They believed in social equality, and the rights of women were observed in their communities. Also the first universities were being founded at this time in Paris, Oxford and Cambridge, and learning was being furthered in the monasteries throughout Europe – all of which demonstrates an emphasis on air values rather than on earthy materialism.

Very interesting detail: Chiron was also conjunct with Jupiter and Saturn @ 3 degrees Aquarius. The ‘wounded healer’ energy may have a Cathar imprint, as this was when the Crusade to convert them back to Roman Catholicism took place.

This is very important for the future of mankind. The ultimate healing takes place on December 21st, this year. Join in, if you feel the connection, too.

Her Majesty and the Captain of the Queen’s Guard

Queen Elizabeth I (September 7, 1533 – March 24, 1603)

Like an episode of The Crown, astrology can peek behind the royal curtains and witness history in a more intimate fashion: this is the story of Elizabeth I and Sir Walter Raleigh.

Before we look at this relationship, I wanted to share with you what Elizabeth’s birth chart shows us. This is a strong woman. But she has a couple of soft spots: Mars inconjunct Midheaven and Jupiter inconjunct Uranus.

Mars Inconjunct Midheaven

This aspect can mean that you have mixed feelings about all authority figures, including your parents. You may feel that you have to violate the rules laid down by your parents in order to get your way. This is a significant problem, because if it continues into adulthood, you will have great difficulties with employers. Therefore it is very important that your parents teach you how to express your self-assertive drives without going against their teachings. Unfortunately it is impossible to state how that should be done, because the conflict between self-will, on one hand, and self-denial and work, on the other, is different for each person.

Jupiter Inconjunct Uranus

With this aspect, especially if either of the planets is in conjunction or opposition with the Ascendant or Midheaven, you may be unable to decide whether you should act alone in total freedom or with others in group or social situations. Also you may not trust any ideas, values and concepts that you share with the people around you. For example, you may feel that instead of believing something that others believe, you have to establish your own ideas and values. You may try to be a nonconformist simply for its own sake, which obviously is a waste. The validity of an idea is totally independent of how many people believe it, and it is as bad to automatically reject what others believe as to accept it blindly.

Now Add Sir Walter Raleigh to the Mix

There is one very exact conjunction between them, and that involves her Pluto and his Mars @ 0 degrees Aquarius. Isn’t it interesting that Jupiter and Saturn are going to be exactly conjunct at that degree on December 21st of this year? Proof of reincarnation?

The Yod (formed from a sextile in her birth chart of the Sun and Saturn) is pointing at his Saturn @ almost 23 degrees Aquarius. Elizabeth saw Raleigh as a strong figure, too.

But the Moon in her chart being conjunct his Neptune @ 8 degrees Taurus meant that she was deceived by him, and that cut her to the quick when he bedded, then wedded, one of her ladies-in-waiting. Raleigh’s heart should have been his Queen’s because his Moon and Venus conjunct was on her Ascendant (Capricorn). Most of the stresses between them are centred on the T-square at that point. Obviously, Raleigh had a different agenda, since his Jupiter/Ascendant conjunction is opposite his Mars/her Pluto. This was always going to be problematic.

In public, he was chivalrous as evidenced by the cloak over the water puddle event.

In private, he would have been just in service to his Queen.

The Beginning of the End or the End of the Beginning?

First (Verifiable) COVID-19 Vaccination (December 8 @ 6:31 GMT)

Margaret Keenan

OK. Now it begins (or ends). We’ve been hyped so much with COVID-19 news and stories, it’s hard to know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. (I’d say, it’s your choice, but is it really?) A Facebook post on Wednesday gave me the details of the timing.

Oh-oh. That Yod pointing at Mars in Aries is slightly concerning, and its interpretation is completely down to one’s point of view. So, *spoiler alert* if you want to read on, take note: the Mars energy could be either a killer of the “disease” or a killer of the world’s population. Only time will tell. In the meantime, these inconjuncts can give a few hints.

Moon Inconjunct Mars

Until you learn to handle your feelings, you are likely to get angry easily, have temper tantrums and be touchy about what is yours and what is not. You may feel you have to defend yourself against imagined threats. The problem here is that you are likely to become too emotionally involved with ideas, opinions or even objects without knowing it until someone threatens them. Then you react as if you were being personally threatened or attacked. You have to realize that it is possible to change your opinions and attitudes without damaging your worth as a person.

Venus Inconjunct Mars

You must learn to control your emotions to some extent, so that your feelings do not prevent you from getting along with others. It is difficult for you to react to someone without emotions, for you tend to either love or hate people quite intensely. Your feelings are often mixed, even toward your friends. One moment you love your friend, and the next moment you hate him or her. Any little problem can set off your anger against someone, but you usually cool off quickly also. Your close relationships will be a bit stormier than most, but this should not be a serious problem in later life. In fact you probably prefer stormy relationships, because it means that you are really involved with the other person.

And just for good measure:

Mercury Inconjunct Uranus

Your mind moves quickly from topic to topic, often without pausing long enough for you to understand what you have learned. And if there is a lot of excitement or activity around you, your mind may race so fast to keep up with it all that you work yourself into a state of nervous frenzy. Under these circumstances it is almost impossible for you to concentrate or do any useful mental work.

Conclusion

The T-square pointing at the Sun from the Moon and Neptune should be our warning: the stakes have been set so high that we really cannot know if the COVID-19 vaccine is a lifesaver or a money maker. Of course, Big Pharma wants to ‘save us’ from this “disease”, but those that question the validity of the pandemic may have a hard time buying into that ‘health’ mindset. In fact, the latest polls show that only about 40% would willingly get the shot. Now, our local provincial government has shown its hand by suggesting that those who have been immunized will get ‘proof’ of the vaccination in order to allow them to travel or attend movies. So, what about the rest? They won’t be part of the ‘club’, will they? A-ha.

The government intent is clear: get immunized, or else!

The Legend of the Fox

Zorro (August 9, 1919)

Okay, I know this is a bit of a stretch, so bear with me. The image, above, is the cover of the very first story about Zorro and his escapades in “Old California”. In effect, his birth.

There is quite the stellium in Leo for that day. Maybe that’s why Zorro became the 20th century hero, less than a year after the Great War ended. There are three inconjuncts, only one of them dependent on the correct timing of ‘birth’. Shall we look at them?

Sun Inconjunct Moon

This aspect suggests that there is a subtle conflict going on inside you that may sometimes create emotional problems. The Sun signifies your conscious personality, the way in which you act and the kinds of activities that you like to get involved in. The Moon signifies the emotional and less conscious side of you. It indicates the habits that take over when you are not acting consciously and feelings that come up from deep inside you. The inconjunct aspect between the Sun and Moon means that the Sun part of your personality is quite different from the Moon part, and it may be hard for you to relate them to each other. It is if you are divided in two, so that whenever you have to make an important decision, especially one that involves your feelings, the different sides of your personality want to go in opposite directions. You sometimes find it difficult to decide if you like something or if you want to take part in some activity.

But a much more difficult problem arises if you decide that one of these personalities is good and the other bad, so that you try to repress and hold down any behavior from the “bad” side. Unfortunately, that only makes it more difficult to handle that side, so that you have intense urges to do things that you think you should not so. You begin to act in ways that betray the image of yourself that you are trying to build up.

Jupiter Inconjunct Uranus

You will always need freedom, but you will also discover that what you do with your life will have meaning only if it means something to others. This is not an artificial rule but a truth that you will discover within yourself. When you do, you may become heavily involved in some social movement that advocates unusual ideas or ways of thinking. When you are an adult, you may join a movement for social reform and change. However, even in a group that embodies your own thinking. you will find it hard to adjust to the group’s demands on your time and freedom. Consequently you will probably leave that group and join another, until that one also becomes oppressive. While you are young, you may have a similar problem with your friends as well. When they start to expect too much of your time and energy, you will break away from them.

Saturn Inconjunct Midheaven

This aspect indicates that you very much need a positive relationship with your parents, especially your father. You should not be disciplined sternly unless you are given lots of love at the same time. Otherwise, giving and receiving love from others will be a real problem for the rest of your life. Unless you are truly supported by your family and friends, you will begin to feel lonely and isolated from others and inferior to them. Also you are likely to have very serious difficulties with authority figures, because you are afraid of how they will treat you, not expecting that anyone will ever give you the loving guidance you need. You will see all authorities only as potential threats to your freedom and as sources of pain and trouble.

(Isn’t it interesting how a character really can take on a life of its own?)

Guy Williams as Zorro (1957-1959)

This is the version of Zorro that I am the most familiar with, even though the story was almost 40 years older by then. Walt Disney knew a good thing when he saw it, and I find it interesting that the actor who played the character was named Guy.

Synchronicity? Perhaps.

Meet the Prototype of Zorro: Guido Fawkes (Fox)

Guy Fawkes (April 13, 1570 – January 31, 1606)

I doubt if we would have remembered his legend if he was only known for his alias, John Johnson. Doesn’t have quite the same ring, does it?

In 1604 Fawkes became involved with a small group of English Catholics, led by Robert Catesby, who planned to assassinate the Protestant King James and replace him with his daughter, third in the line of succession, Princess Elizabeth. Fawkes was described by the Jesuit priest and former school friend Oswald Tesimond as “pleasant of approach and cheerful of manner, opposed to quarrels and strife … loyal to his friends”. Tesimond also claimed Fawkes was “a man highly skilled in matters of war”, and that it was this mixture of piety and professionalism that endeared him to his fellow conspirators. The author Antonia Fraser describes Fawkes as “a tall, powerfully built man, with thick reddish-brown hair, a flowing moustache in the tradition of the time, and a bushy reddish-brown beard”, and that he was “a man of action … capable of intelligent argument as well as physical endurance, somewhat to the surprise of his enemies.”

Wikipedia

The timing of his birth is randomized, and yet the resulting configuration of his planetary aspects is quite revealing: like the image of a nuclear atom, this is the chart of a revolutionary. And, as luck would have it, Pluto is positioned at about age 8, when his father died, and he converted to the Catholic faith. So this is ‘accidentally’ correct.

Neptune in Gemini is approximately the right position for exposure of his part in the Gunpowder Plot and his subsequent death (by accident from the scaffold or suicide).

There are two inconjuncts, one dependent on the correct birth time, the other not.

Moon Inconjunct Uranus

Your relationship with your mother may be rather unstable. She may be very involved in her own interests, which prevent her from being as close to you as she would be otherwise. She may be an unconventional person, a real free spirit. The problem is that your feelings about her are mixed, both loving and unloving. You may secretly resent her. Probably you don’t feel that you can express this consciously, but it could come out when you are angry or upset. Certainly this will result in not wanting to form close relationships with other people, especially women. And the people you do choose as close friends are likely to be exciting and different from anyone you have known in the past. However, they may also be rather upsetting.

Venus Inconjunct Ascendant

You often feel that you haven’t any right to ask much of those whom you love. You feel that you must do favors for them instead of asking for their help. For you, love is an act of service, not self-gratification. Also, through relationships with others, you try to learn more about your own and other people’s inner workings. For this reason your relationships are more deep and profound than most people’s. But they are somewhat difficult, too. Your close friends and loved ones discover that you are quite different in a close relationship than you appear at first. It is not that you are dishonest, but that you show a side of yourself to your friends that you usually keep hidden, often because you are not entirely confident in that role. You may feel unsure that others will like you or accept your affection. This is one reason why you express your love by doing nice things for people. You are trying to win them over.

Do you think Fawkes rued the day he signed up for the “Gunpowder Plot”? I do: he may have realized that he had been duped into a conspiracy that would turn out badly for other Roman Catholics in England. Some even suggest that the plot was an early version of 9-11 or a late repeat of Nero’s burning of Rome. So, the question is: who snitched?

A Man of Many Talents, Not the Least as an Explorer

Sir Walter Raleigh (January 22, 1552 – Oct 29, 1618)

Engraved Image courtesy of Wikipedia

Even though John Lennon cursed him for importing tobacco from the colonies, this gentleman was one of the most famous Englishman to live during the Elizabethan era.

The timing of this chart has been rectified to mark the occasion of his Knighthood @ age 33 (Saturn). The resulting double inconjunct shows how restless he was all his life.

Jupiter Inconjunct Pluto

You have a great deal of creative power, and the major challenge of your life will be learning how to handle it. If you use the energies of this aspect selfishly, you will have serious conflicts with authorities, persons in power and adults in general. You may try to make changes before you have learned to do so creatively, without provoking such resistance that your efforts are blocked. To be effective, you must have the necessary skills.

You may have a natural talent for dominating others, but don’t fall in love with this talent and be motivated by it. You can be effective at influencing people only if you use your power to help others and yourself achieve desirable goals together. You must be an agent for betterment at all time, and even so you must listen to others’ ideas about betterment to be sure that you aren’t just seeking power in a more roundabout manner.

Jupiter Conjunct Ascendant

You like to be free to have as many different kinds of experiences as possible. As a result, your life is likely to be more varied than most. With this same energy, you will probably travel or live in many different places during your life, and in each place you will get to know the local customs and habits almost as if they were your own.

You also enjoy traveling in your mind, exploring all kinds of ideas and considering many different ways of thinking. Your range of thought is broader than most people’s, and even while you are young, grown-ups will be surprised by your interest in a wide variety of subjects.

For the most part, you are very tolerant of other people’s ways, except perhaps concerning ethical behavior. Even as a young person, your ideas of right and wrong are well defined. Your code of ethics may be different from other people’s, but it is nonetheless strong. As long as people don’t break your rules, you let them be. But if someone violates your sense of ethics, you get quite angry and even unforgiving, unless the person in question is extremely apologetic and sorry for his or her actions.

He Lost His Head, Due to Others’ Actions

The timing of this chart is randomized, and yet an interesting Yod presents itself: Neptune inconjunct Pluto inconjunct Midheaven. You just cannot ignore the fact that the Pluto inconjunct Ascendant in Raleigh’s birth chart hinted at choosing your friends wisely. Obviously, they were his undoing, in the end.

No Matter How Nero, No Matter How Far Out

Emperor Nero (December 15, 37 AD – June 9, 68 AD)

Aureus of Nero (from Wikipedia)

The face looks right, but the title around the coin says, “Caesar Augustus”. Hmm.

I’ve talked about Nero before (and not always in a positive light). But I haven’t shown you his birth and death charts (and please remember that historical accounts are not always accurate: sometimes they’re symbolic and legendary).

Suetonius, De vita caesarum: “Nero natus est Anti post VIIII. mensem quam Tiberius excessit, XVIII. Kal. Ian. tantum quod exoriente sole, paene ut radiis prius quam terra contingeretur. De genitura eius statim multa et formidulosa multis coiectantibus praesagio fuit”: Nero was born at Antium nine months after the death of Tiberius, on the eighteenth day before the Kalends of January, just as the sun rose, so that he was touched by its rays almost before he could be laid upon the ground. Many people at once made many direful predictions from his horoscope.

atr: Times like this have to be considered cum grano salis*. Actual local sunrise depends on the local horizon, including hills etc towards the south east. On an ideally flat horizon, the first rays appear a few minutes before the center of the Sun is astronomically at the horizon, due to atmospheric refraction and the size of the solar disk. (* with a grain of salt)

from Astro.com

If this is fact and not fiction, then Nero’s chart highlights his bad side: Sun/Mars/Pluto/Ascendant conjunction. This is a lethal combination. But I suspect he was born later in the day, which would mitigate some of this nastiness and explain, perhaps, how he came to be Emperor.

This revised chart (2) has been rectified to show the age of 16 when he became Emperor (Mars) and the age (30) when he committed suicide (Neptune). The same nastiness is there but now part of his history, rather than his personality. His mother figures strongly in his success (Moon in Leo) The resulting double inconjunct from the Sun/Pluto conjunction to his Cancer Rising might help to explain his artistic tendencies.

Sun Inconjunct Ascendant

You may find that no matter how hard you try to show others who you really are, they misunderstand you somehow. This is because the angular relationship between your rising sign and Sun sign indicates that your internal energies are quite different from the energies that you show to the world. You are not intentionally dishonest with the world, you simply present a confusing complex of energies. As you get older, you will learn more about your effect on people, which will enable you to put the two sides of your personality together so that they work smoothly. Be patient and do not hurry. Look at each relationship as an opportunity to learn more about yourself through your effects upon others. You will know you have learned this when you no longer attract people who are psychologically difficult to deal with.

Pluto Inconjunct Ascendant

This can be an indication that through experiences with others, you will be forced to undergo many significant changes in life. At times the crises may be quite unpleasant, but for the most part the results will be very positive, although for some people, they may be less constructive. But you must be very careful about the kind of people you get involved with. Choose your friends with great care and try to find people who have a healthy outlook on life and who seem reasonably well balanced. People who are driven to extreme behavior or who act compulsively, as if they could not plan anything in advance, are not very good for you. They will get you into difficult situations that you do not need.

Sun Conjunct Pluto

You are strong willed and like to get your own way, so you may find it difficult to make compromises with others in order to get along. But that is precisely what you must learn to do; otherwise you will be alone and cut off from people who won’t want to associate with you. You have a strong desire to be a leader, which you can do quite well, as long as you keep other people’s needs in mind along with your own. You are particularly good at leading others in carrying out an important task. You like to take on ambitious projects that test your abilities.

If someone keeps you from getting what you want, you don’t respond right away. Instead, you carefully look for the best way to get around the obstacles and wait for the best time to act. This kind of planning gives people the impression that you are secretive, which may bother them. In fact you do enjoy being mysterious. You must learn to be a bit more open so that people will trust you. If you insist on being mysterious, people may imagine things about you that aren’t true.

Now, honestly, folks, doesn’t all this sound exactly like Donald Trump? Just saying.

Death by Suicide?

Originally, I randomized the timing of this chart (for about 4:30 in the afternoon) and then reviewed the Wikipedia page to see if the narrative matches. It didn’t, so I decided to flip the time to 4:30 in the morning, when the Sun was rising over Rome.

“At the Battle of Vesontio in May 68, Verginius’ forces easily defeated those of Vindex and the latter committed suicide. However, after putting down this one rebel, Verginius’ legions attempted to proclaim their own commander as Emperor. Verginius refused to act against Nero, but the discontent of the legions of Germany and the continued opposition of Galba in Spain did not bode well for him.

“While Nero had retained some control of the situation, support for Galba increased despite his being officially declared a public enemy (“hostis publicus”). The prefect of the Praetorian Guard, Gaius Nymphidius Sabinus, also abandoned his allegiance to the Emperor and came out in support of Galba.

“In response, Nero fled Rome with the intention of going to the port of Ostia and, from there, to take a fleet to one of the still-loyal eastern provinces. According to Suetonius, Nero abandoned the idea when some army officers openly refused to obey his commands, responding with a line from Virgil’s Aeneid: ‘Is it so dreadful a thing then to die?’ Nero then toyed with the idea of fleeing to Parthia, throwing himself upon the mercy of Galba, or appealing to the people and begging them to pardon him for his past offences ‘and if he could not soften their hearts, to entreat them at least to allow him the prefecture of Egypt’. Suetonius reports that the text of this speech was later found in Nero’s writing desk, but that he dared not give it from fear of being torn to pieces before he could reach the Forum.

“Nero returned to Rome and spent the evening in the palace. After sleeping, he awoke at about midnight to find the palace guard had left. Dispatching messages to his friends’ palace chambers for them to come, he received no answers. Upon going to their chambers personally, he found them all abandoned. When he called for a gladiator or anyone else adept with a sword to kill him, no one appeared. He cried, ‘Have I neither friend nor foe?’ and ran out as if to throw himself into the Tiber.[74]

“Returning, Nero sought a place where he could hide and collect his thoughts. An imperial freedman, Phaon, offered his villa, located 4 mi (6.4 km) outside the city. Travelling in disguise, Nero and four loyal freedmen, Epaphroditos, Phaon, Neophytus, and Sporus, reached the villa, where Nero ordered them to dig a grave for him.

“At this time, a courier arrived with a report that the Senate had declared Nero a public enemy, that it was their intention to execute him by beating him to death, and that armed men had been sent to apprehend him for the act to take place in the Roman Forum. The Senate actually was still reluctant and deliberating on the right course of action, as Nero was the last member of the Julio-Claudian Family. Indeed, most of the senators had served the imperial family all their lives and felt a sense of loyalty to the deified bloodline, if not to Nero himself. The men actually had the goal of returning Nero back to the Senate, where the Senate hoped to work out a compromise with the rebelling governors that would preserve Nero’s life, so that at least a future heir to the dynasty could be produced.

“Nero, however, did not know this, and at the news brought by the courier, he prepared himself for suicide, pacing up and down muttering Qualis artifex pereo (‘What an artist dies in me’). Losing his nerve, he begged one of his companions to set an example by killing himself first. At last, the sound of approaching horsemen drove Nero to face the end. However, he still could not bring himself to take his own life, but instead forced his private secretary, Epaphroditos, to perform the task.

An 1815 illustration of the alleged tomb of Nero; actually tomb of proconsul Caius Vibius Marianus.

“When one of the horsemen entered and saw that Nero was dying, he attempted to stop the bleeding, but efforts to save Nero’s life were unsuccessful. Nero’s final words were ‘Too late! This is fidelity!’ He died on 9 June 68, the anniversary of the death of Octavia, and was buried in the Mausoleum of the Domitii Ahenobarbi, in what is now the Villa Borghese (Pincian Hill) area of Rome.

“According to Sulpicius Severus, it is unclear whether Nero took his own life.

“With his death, the Julio-Claudian dynasty ended. When news of his death reached Rome, the Senate posthumously declared Nero a public enemy to appease the coming Galba (as the Senate had initially declared Galba as a public enemy) and proclaimed Galba as the new emperor. Chaos would ensue in the year of the Four Emperors.” (Wikipedia)

According to another site, Nero got it in the neck!

I’m mindful that Donald Trump doesn’t want his reign to end, and has gone out of his way to persuade everyone that he is still the best man for the job. But even the quotes shown above give an indication of a similar mindset, including pardoning himself.

This is the Dawning of the Age of Aquarius

Winter Solstice (December 21, 2020 @ 10:00 am UT)

Our ‘new’ Christmas Star

This is the precise moment the Sun moves into Capricorn. At the same time Jupiter and Saturn are conjunct at 0 degrees Aquarius and just rising above the horizon. This is auspicious.

However, there is one inconjunct.

Venus Inconjunct Uranus

You feel mixed up about whether you want to be close to others or be free. When you are really close to a loved one, you feel smothered and want to get away by yourself to do what you want. But when you are alone and free to do what you want, you miss your loved ones and want to be with them. It will take you several years to understand yourself enough so that you can strike a balance between these two needs, so be patient.

(Doesn’t that sound just like the whole world during this pandemic?)

Jupiter Conjunct Saturn

Throughout your life you will makes plans and try to organize your affairs with care and discipline. You do not want to go too far too fast, and you want to have a structure that will regulate your life and keep it moving forward in the best possible manner. However, the discipline structure that you adopt must not keep you from growing, because you will develop a strong sense of objectives early in life, and you will rebel against anything that interferes with your progress toward your goals, When your life is working well, you can do everything carefully and in an orderly manner. When you take up a task, you follow it through systematically and thoroughly. You can stick to a job longer than most others, and you can keep track of many details at once.

Problems arise when something or someone stops you or gets in the way of your objectives. Unlike some people, you do not immediately fight back. Instead, you try to go on as before, but you get increasingly restless and irritable. Eventually you cannot stand it anymore, and you try to get away from the restriction. There will be many times in your life when, after getting away from some repressive energy, you will suddenly feel relief from a tension that you hadn’t known was there. This can be a problem in that when things go wrong you may wait too long to assert yourself, and it may be more difficult to correct a problem if you have put up with it too long.
