It’s a Cold War slogan, but one that encapsulates the unexpected strength of feeling among Ukrainians.
Putin thought that the very fact that his troops could cross the line between their two countries with impunity would be enough for complete capitulation of the Ukraine leadership. How wrong he was.
In Zelenskyy‘s chart, the Sun/Venus conjunction @ 5° Aquarius speaks of a love for his country and the people. They are both in opposition to Mars @ 0° Leo.
Sun Conjunct Venus
You may have to work out one problem. It is almost too easy for you to find your way through life by being friendly and warm. You tend to compromise to keep the peace, even when there is a serious issue to be worked out. At times it is necessary to confront people directly and forcefully; otherwise people may not take you seriously, or they may try to walk all over you. This is about the only difficulty presented by this aspect.
Sun Opposition Mars
Probably you have plenty of courage and confidence in yourself. As long as you can keep from becoming rash and self-centered you will be all right. Others will admire your strength and determination, if not always your sense. Your basic task is to learn to channel this energy, not suppress it. You actually need contests with others to help you find yourself. If you suppress this need and hold the energy down, you will feel a sense of repressed rage that will spring out at the worst possible moments.
Venus Opposition Mars
You needs to be around people who understand you and are willing to let you blow off steam a bit. They should recognize that your frequent blow-ups mean that you are very emotionally involved, with love as well as anger, and they should know that you get over your anger very quickly. At lease you let everyone know how you feel, both positively and negatively, and you show that your feelings are quite strong.
“We are all here”
If a man is willing to die for his country, he wouldn’t be caught dead being red. Is that understood?
Will this be another day in infamy? I expect so. What really surprises me is how anyone thought that diplomacy could have prevented this from happening. Putin only wanted one thing: assurances from the West that Ukraine would not join NATO. But his request was ignored, repeatedly. Silly mistake.
The planets are all bunched in the East, with only the Moon in the upper hemisphere. The element of surprise is demonstrated by the opposition between the Midheaven and Uranus (@ 11° Taurus). The squares to Mercury and Saturn make the T-squares to Putin’s advantage. He will succeed in neutralizing Ukraine in every level he wants. NATO can do nothing to stop him, because he is not attacking them.
Now here’s a man who thinks he knows how to run a country because he starred as the President of Ukraine in a television series called Servant of the People. The television company that produced the show decided to create a political party with the same name. He decided to run for the presidency when his popularity already made him a front runner. Campaigning virtually using social media and YouTube, he defeated the incumbent (and pro-Russian) Petro Poroshenko. That’s when things started getting ‘interesting’, to say the least. Trump was impeached for taking money already earmarked for aid to Ukraine and using it as a dangling carrot in a ‘quid pro quo’telephone call to Zelenskyy (for dirt on Biden’s son). Nothing came of it, but that brought him to the attention of the American public.
Several astrology sites have 2:00 pm as Zelenskyy’s birth time. I’m inclined to agree with them. There is but one inconjunct, but it may be the key to understanding the present situation with Russia.
Moon Inconjunct Mercury
As you grow older, you will have to learn to make your feelings and your reason work together. The problem is not so much that they come into conflict with each other, but that your reason and feelings represent two very different sides of your personality. When you are calm and collected and able to reflect carefully, you make decisions in one way. But when you are emotionally involved in a situation, you are likely to make up your mind very differently, which could cause you to seem inconsistent to others and make it difficult for them to understand you.
One Other Hint
That conjunction between the Sun and Venus may give a clue as to why Zelenskyy is so concerned with himself being the identity of Putin’s target: his family has been targeted, too.
As I’ve said before, Putin is very astute when it comes to another leader’s Achilles heel. Already, one day later, Zeleneskyy is discussing the idea of offering Putin the neutrality of Ukraine to stop the war.
The comparison of these two charts shows us how the invasion is personally affecting Zelenskyy.
As I’ve always said, I would not want to be the leader of any country, these days.
This post was triggered by a comment from my friend, David Lowe, last night: he quoted someone else who said, “There are three letter missing from Putin’s last name: RAS.” Oh-ho, says I, that might explain everything about the present situation in Ukraine.
This chart was already on my Kepler 7.0 program, so I have not changed the time. Isn’t it interesting how there are six inconjuncts, with five of them forming one double and one interactive single Yod (Finger of God)? Hmm.
Sun Inconjunct Mars
You have a rather strong will, which may be difficult to control. This is because your way of doing something tends to interfere with what you want to gain by doing it. Your actions in some situations may surprise people by contradicting what they have learned about you as a person. Inside of yourself, you may even begin to feel that you can’t approve of the way you act, or you may feel that you can’t deal comfortably with the results of your actions. In other words, you get yourself into real jams.
Mercury Inconjunct Uranus
Your mind moves quickly from topic to topic, often without pausing long enough for you to understand what you have learned. And if there is a lot of excitement or activity around you, your mind may race so fast to keep up with it all that you work yourself into a state of nervous frenzy. Under these circumstances it is almost impossible for you to concentrate or do any useful mental work.
Mercury Inconjunct Midheaven
It is very important that you remember not to speak impulsively. If you do, it is very likely that you will put your foot in your mouth. Consider what you are going to say and how your words can further your objectives.
Saturn Inconjunct Uranus
If you can learn to live with this tension [between Saturn and Uranus] a bit and express your feelings and emotions before they reach the breaking point, you can be extremely patient and persistent. You will be able to accomplish many tasks that others would give up on, if you do not hold in all your feelings and desires for freedom.
Saturn Inconjunct Pluto
Even under favorable circumstances, this aspect usually means that you are resistant to change, that you hold on to any situation, no matter how bad, until it is totally intolerable. Then when change does take place, it has to create a revolution and a total breakdown of everything that came before it. You must learn to adapt to circumstances a bit more gracefully and not be afraid of occasional compromise.
Saturn Inconjunct Midheaven
If you get adequate reinforcemnt from your parents and other adults, you can become a very conscientious person who undertsnads at an early age what is expected of you. Even while you are young, you prefer work or a serious activity to play.As a result, you may prefer the company of older people. In any case it is good to associate with people your own age, to avoid becoming so isolated that you cannot deal with people. This also helps to counter your loneliness.
(As I was typing out these aspect descriptions, I kept thinking about Putin and how the words seem to apply to him, now.)
To the dismay of Yussupov and his co-conspirators, Rasputin’s murder did not lead to a radical change in Nicholas and Alexandra’s polities. To the emergent Bolsheviks, Rasputin symbolized the corruption at the heart of the Imperial court, and his murder was seen, rather accurately, as an attempt by the nobility to hold onto power at the continued expense of the proletariat. To them, Rasputin represented the broader problems with czarism. In the aftermath of the Russian Revolution, Provisional Government leader Alexander Kerensky went so far as to say, “Without Rasputin there would have been no Lenin.”
As a fellow astrologer would say, “If there is a conjunction and reversal of the Nodes, this is a strong indication of a karmic relationship, perhaps even reincarnation.” Well, Putin had to be somewhere (and sometime) between his life as Julius Caesar and now. Rasputin seems to be an interim life, which also ended in assassination. That’s probably why he isolates himself in the Kremlin: he wants to live longer.
But now Putin is the de facto Tsar of Russia. (And for those who may have forgotten: Tsar [Czar] is the Russian version of Caesar). It’s a small world after all.
The calendar used to be based on the Roman way of counting days of the month, and year, but there was always something missing: one-quarter of a day every year. So, the Romans added a leap day every four years (much as we do now), but this caused a discrepancy in their calendar over the centuries.
On this day in 1582, Pope Gregory XIII issues the papal bull Inter gravissimas, announcing the Gregorian calendar.
Over the centuries since its introduction in 45 BCE, the Julian calendar had gradually drifted away from astronomical events like the vernal equinox and the winter solstice. To make up for this error and get the calendar back in sync with the astronomical seasons, a number of days had to be dropped when the Gregorian calendar was adopted.
In North America, for example, the month of September 1752 had only 19 days, as the day count went straight from September 2 to September 14.
The papal bull issued by Pope Gregory XIII in 1582 decreed that 10 days be skipped when switching to the Gregorian calendar. However, only five countries adopted the new calendar system that year—namely, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Spain, and most of France.
Since the discrepancy between the Julian calendar year and the astronomical seasons kept growing over time in the centuries that followed, more days had to be skipped in countries that switched to the Gregorian calendar in later years.
The US, Canada, and the UK dropped 11 days in 1752; Japan cut the year 1872 short by 12 days; and some countries, such as Russia, Greece, and Turkey, switched calendars as late as the early 20th century, so they had to omit 13 days
And astrologers like me have to be aware of historical dates being OS or NS.
This chart is randomized, but I could have tried to rectify it, if I had the urge. The Ascendant being Taurus brings out the pun of ‘papal bull’. There is one inconjunct which would have been active all day.
Mars Inconjunct Neptune
With this aspect you must learn to stand up for yourself and demand your rights forthrightly and directly. Often you feel that you don’t have enough energy to assert yourself or that any such effort would be futile. Unfortunately, some people with this aspect learn to work behind the scenes or dishonestly. Others simply give up or take a defeatist attitude toward life.
Sometimes this aspect operates on the physical plane as well. You may have a generally low energy level and feel tired all the time but not able to sleep because of nervousness. You may actually need more sleep than others, and if so, you should try to get it.
(And, just maybe, the nervousness may come from the fact of losing, not only 10 days, but also 10 nights of sleep. People rioted when the calendars changed, and we worry about one hour being lost when we leap ahead to daylight savings!)
Most scholars agree that the Gutenberg Bible was published on this date in Mainz, Germany.
My daily calendar
Interesting chart, is it not? Those oppositions say so much.
But the hidden message comes with the inconjunct between the Sun and Pluto.
Sun Inconjunct Pluto
There will be many changes in your life, and you will be affected by deep psychological forces that may be difficult to understand at times, as well as confusing to the people around you. You approach people with great intensity, and your emotional involvements are seldom casual. Either you like people very much or you dislike them intensely. Possibly your attitudes on other matters will be extreme also. One of the most important lessons that you will have to learn is to be more moderate.
You have a very strong will and can be quite stubborn, even when you don’t have any particular reason to be. It is as if you automatically resist any pressure to act in a particular way, even if you know it is good for you. This may arise from a fear of being controlled, helpless or manipulated by anyone else. As you get older, this fear may lead you to manipulate others so that they cannot manipulate you. It is very important to develop confidence in yourself, so that you will not behave this way very frequently. Your relationship with your father will be particularly important, for his actions and his opinions of you will strongly affect your sense of well-being.
You are very serious for your age, perhaps too much so, for taking everything very seriously can destroy much of the joy in life. Not all encounters are important and require you to put yourself on the line, although you may try to live that way.
(So, is this describing the Bible, or Gutenberg, himself?)
There’s something about a brilliant set of political moves internationally that makes us secretly admire the one doing the maneuvering. Putin has certainly got Trump’s approval, as the White House has noted.
But there is something cosmic going on at the same time, so Putin cannot take all the credit, himself.
The first of three US Pluto Returns this year
As the final fireworks of the Beijing Winter Olympics closing ceremony were being set off, the world was waking up to a new reality: Russia began to set in motion their moves to ‘invade’ the eastern border of Ukraine, to ‘keep the peace’ of two ‘independent’ territories. Everyone and his uncle knows that it’s a ruse, but by using the American playbook, Putin is showing that he is a master chess player.
It’s only taken one year and thirty-three days to bring the mighty warrior (USA) to its knees. If the withdrawal from Afghanistan had been handled better, Putin wouldn’t have hatched the plot to take the remainder of Ukraine back. Someone has noted that after the previous three winter Olympics, he has done essentially the same thing to Georgia, the Crimea and some other former USSR country (but which I cannot recall for the moment). Maybe Putin wants to win back the Soviet States in total. That’s why he hates NATO. He thinks they’re encroaching on Russian assets. He wants it to stop.
Is it significant that Sunday’s Part of Fortune @ 9° Sagittarius is within 3° of the USA’s birth Ascendant @ 12° Sagittarius? Hmm. The first Pluto Return is taking place when almost all the planets and lights are placed at odds to the natal stellium in the 7th House (of open enemies). That cannot be a good sign.
Conclusion
We will have to wait and see how this game plays out, but it seems that Biden is Putin’s real target, and the country of Ukraine is the chessboard. By July 2022, we may see the USA King’s checkmate.
I have been commenting and predicting on events that were current for these past couple of months. The culmination happened yesterday, the day after the Beijing Winter Olympics ended.
COVID-19
The Queen has finally contracted COVID-19. From the very beginning, I said that the novel coronavirus was no respecter of persons, high or low. After almost two years of constant restrictions and fear-mongering, the Omicron variant has done what no other versions have been able to do: share and share alike.
Russia/Ukraine Tensions
Putin finally pulled the invasion trigger: he recognized two regions of Eastern Ukraine as independent and then sent in the troops for ‘peacekeeping’ purposes. He has taken a page out of the American playbook. Now we will have to wait and see how the Western powers react. Will it be all-out war?
The Truckers Protest in Canada
It took an Emergencies Act to sort the blockade out in Ottawa. Parliament supported the measure by a substantial margin, with the NDP siding with the Liberals. But it can be repealed at any time before the 30-day limit of the powers. But for now, it will stay in place, and the peace will remain, as long as it is needed.
Conclusions
A fellow astrologer noted that an associate of Jeffrey Epstein had been found dead in his cell in Paris on Saturday morning, past. Jean Luc Brunel (age 75) had been hung. It is an echo of what happened to Epstein, so it appears that there is a distinct connection, another ‘assassination’ of a “loose cannon”.
Note the Venus/Mars conjunction with Pluto alongside
Now that really is the last of the chickens coming home to roost. I wonder who the Rooster is?
They say it’s a rare individual that will swim against the tide. My Norma Jeane birth time post hasn’t made much of a ripple effect. It certainly didn’t make a ‘splash’. In fact, the underwhelming response is a kind of “So what? What difference can it make?” In reality, what is true, IS true, no matter how many (or how few) people disagree.
But, what it does show me is that most people are not open to changing their mindset, even when you demonstrate that what they think they know is based on a misinterpretation. (If I were the doctor correcting or rewriting that number, I would make sure that it looked like the number I intended: there is no ‘loop’ which a “9” would have, so her birth time number was intended to be a “7”.)
So, why do I care?
Norma Jeane is one of the most misunderstood individuals in this modern day: her ‘legend’ exceeded even her own expectations. But the person that she was has gotten lost among the noise surrounding her life and death. We no longer see the real person hiding under the mask she wore. We don’t see her.
Astrology isn’t some mumbo-jumbo voodoo art: it’s based on the idea that the stars and our true selves are intimately connected. The ‘events’ I recounted in the post are definitely timed to the ages of 1 and 7 years of age. If her chart is left as it has been since 1952 when the certified true copy of her birth certificate was supplied by the State of California, the planets marking those two ‘events’ should have occurred at 3 months and 5 years, respectively. Do you see what I mean? The stars and planets do not lie. But, unless the timing of the birth chart is exact, the analysis of the individual’s personality will be faulty.
I am just trying to correct that misunderstanding, that’s all.
This is the second Netflix mini series that we’ve watched that was adapted from Harlan Coben’s books.
I won’t go into the twists of turns of the plot, but needless to say it’s a good binge watch. The only concern is how the ending didn’t dot all the Is and cross all the Ts. In fact, Susan and I had at least a ten minute discussion after the last scene about how they would have left the bodies, or not, where they were. (I won’t say whose bodies, that would be telling.) It is well worth the viewing time.
Nice to see O’Brien from Downton Abbey in a different role.
And, wouldn’t you know it, there’s going to be a season 2.
